Global Internet에서 이동성을 위한 해결책으로 모바일 IP가 제시된 바 있다. 그러나 사용자가 증가하는 경우와 이동노드의 움직임이 많은 경우에는 서비스 지연이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 지연을 줄이기 위해 지역등 록을 사용한 모바일 IP가 제시되었다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 IP에서 등록지연을 최소로 하는 최적의 지역등록 관리 방법을 소개한다. 이산적 해석 모델을 통해 이동 노드의 움직임을 나타내며 제안한 방법을 통해 평균 패킷 도착률과 이동노드의 이동성을 고려한 경우의 네트워크의 크기에 따른 등록비용을 해석적으로 분석한다.

In February 6-7th, the Thai National Cancer Institute, the International Agency for Research on Cancer and its Mumbai Hub for Cancer Registration, together with the International Association of Cancer Registries and the APOCP/APJCP, jointly organized an Asian cancer registry forum to discuss regional cooperation for cancer registration. Held in the Grande Mercure Fortune Hotel, Bangkok, the meeting brought together leading scientists in cancer registration from South-East and North-East Asia as well as Australia, India and Iran and IARC itself, with coverage of various priorities and challenges of cancer registries regarding cancer control policy, operational parameters, assessment of survival and contributions to screening, for example. The current situation was highlighted and future directions and possible expansion of activities were discussed, with especial attention to the necessity for networks to help improve cancer registration across Asia and Africa.

이동기술의 발전으로 이동성을 지원하는 멀티캐스트 서비스에 대한 요구가 증가되면서 많은 방법들이 제시되었다. 하지만 기존의 방법들로는 이동노드의 움직임에 따라 멀티캐스트 서비스에 재가입을 하게됨에 따른 지연과 패킷손실이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 패킷손실을 줄이고자 본 논문에서는 지역 등록방법을 이용한 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 기존의 지역등록방법에서 시그널링 메시지 부분을 수정하였으며, 캐쉬 부분을 추가하였다. 동일 GFA내에서 이동시에는 완전하게 등록이 끝날 때까지 이동하기전 FA로의 등록을 유지하며, 다른 GFA내로 이동한 경우에는 캐쉬를 사용함으로써 등록되는 동안 오게되는 패킷손실을 방지한다. 이러한 방법을 통해 이동노드의 움직임에 따른 패킷손실을 줄이게 되어 보다 효과적인 멀티캐스트 서비스를 받게 된다.

Mobile IP는 이동 단말기를 통해 인터넷 서비스를 받고자 하는 요구가 늘어남에 따라 기존의 IP 망에서 사용자의 이동성을 지원하기 위한 프로토콜이다. Mobile IP는 이동 노드가 외부 에이전트를 통해서 홈 에이전트에 등록을 시도할 때마다 신원을 확인하기 위하여 안전한 인증 과정을 수행해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Mobile IP의 등록기법을 기존의 흠 에이전트에서만 수행하는 기법이 아닌 지역등록 기법을 도입하였다. 즉 등록 기법을 홈 등록과 지역등록으로 나누어서 이동 노드가 새로운 외부 네트워크에서 접속할 경우 지역 에이전트를 두어서 지역 에이전트에서 인증 과정을 수행함으로써 흠 에이전트와의 빈번한 인증 등록 과정을 생략하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 제안된 인증 메카니즘이 기존의 인증 메카니즘에 비해 전체 등록 시간이 짧다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

A certificate revocation list(CRL) should be distributed quickly to all the vehicles in the network to protect them from malicious users and malfunctioning equipments as well as to increase the overall security and safety of vehicular networks. However, a major challenge is how to distribute CRLs efficiently. In this paper, we propose a novel Regional CRL distribution method based on the vehicle location registration locally to manage vehicle mobility. The method makes Regional CRLs based on the vehicles' location and distributes them, which can reduce CRL size and distribution time efficiently. According to the simulation results, the proposed method's signaling performance of vehicle's registration is enhanced from 22% to 37% compared to the existing Regional CRL distribution method. It's CRL distribution time is also decreased from 37% to 67% compared to the existing Full CRL distribution method.

무선 단말기를 이용하여 단순한 문장 및 음성 전송뿐만 아니라 인터넷과 같은 멀티미디어 서비스를 이용하고자 하는 사용자가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 이동 망에서 Mobile IPv4 지역 위치등록(Regional Registration)을 개선하여 트래픽의 전송 지연과 메시지 발생양을 기존의 방법에 비해 낮출 수 있는 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 CN으로부터 전송되는 패킷을 HA를 경유하지 않고 MN이 위치한 지역으로 전달하도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 각 방법에 대해 메시지 발생양과 패킷의 지연시간과의 관계를 보이고, 개선된 MIPv4 지역 위치등록을 이용하여 이를 최소화한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법을 위치 등록 비용과 메시지전송 비용에 대해 기존의 방법과 비교하여 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법이 우수하다는 것을 입증한다.

이동 IP 네트워크에서 이동 단말의 망 접점의 잦은 변경은 네트워크에 오버헤드를 증가시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제를 해결하기 IP 지역 등록방법[1]에 동적인 스코프 값을 부여하는 계층적 방법을 제안한다. 만약 이동 단말이 스코프 값으로 정해진 이웃 영역내의 방문 에이전트 간을 이동할 경우에는 홈 등록을 수행하지 않고 지역적인 위치 등록만 실행한다. 제안하는 방법의 수학적인 분석과 수치적 비교를 수행하였으며, 결과적으로 최적화된 스코프 값을 이용한 계층적 구조의 제안 방법을 적용할 경우 표준의 이동 IP 프로토콜의 위치 등록 기법[2]에 비하여 뚜렷한 비용 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 이는 영역 내에서의 이동시 지역 내 등록만으로 위치 등록을 완료하기 때문이다. 특히 홈 에이전트로의 신호 비용이 증가할수록 제안하는 방법이 더 유리함을 보여준다.

Cancer registration, an important component of cancer surveillance, is essential to a unified, scientific and public health approach to cancer prevention and control. India has one of the highest cancer incidence and mortality rates in the world. A good surveillance system in the form of cancer registries is important for planning and evaluating cancer-control activities. Cancer registration in India was initiated in 1964 and expanded since 1982, through initiation of the National Cancer Registry Program (NCRP) by the Indian Council of Medical Research. NCRP currently has twenty-six population based registries and seven hospital based registries. Yet, Indian cancer registries, mostly in urban areas, cover less than 15% of the population. Other potential concerns about some Indian registries include accuracy and detail of information on cancer diagnosis, and timeliness in updating the registry databases. It is also important that necessary data collection related quality assurance measures be undertaken rigorously by the registries to ensure reliable and valid information availability. This paper reviews the current status of cancer registration in India and discusses some of the important pitfalls and issues related to cancer registration. Cancer registration in India should be complemented with a nationwide effort to foster systematic investigations of cancer patterns and trends by states, regions and sub populations and allow a continuous cycle of measurement, communication and action.

이 연구의 목적은 도서관법(법률 제18547호)의 주요 특징인 공공도서관 등록제에 대해서 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌연구를 통해 도서관법에서 '등록'의 법적 성격을 살펴보고, 전국 34개 등록관청 회의에 참여하여 예상등록률과 등록제에 대한 현장의 인식을 조사하였다. 조사 결과, 도서관법에서의 등록은 절차와 방법에서는 허가제의 성격을 지녔으나, 효력에서는 공증의 효력만을 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 전국의 예산등록률은 26%로 나타났다. 등록관청의 인식 조사에서는 등록제의 가장 큰 문제점으로 '비고'의 조항에 대한 문제, 업무 과중, 사서 확충의 어려움, 등록기준 및 등록대상의 불명확 등을 지적하였다. 이에 대해 도서관법의 실효성을 높이기 위한 개선방안을 제안하였다.
