Noninformative priors for the common location parameter in half-normal distributions

  • In this paper, we develop the reference priors for the common location parameter in the half-normal distributions with unequal scale paramters. We derive the reference priors as noninformative prior and prove the propriety of joint posterior distribution under the general prior including the reference priors. Through the simulation study, we show that the proposed reference priors match the target coverage probabilities in a frequentist sense.

  • In this paper, we develop the reference and the matching priors for the reliability function of two-parameter exponential distribution. We derive the reference priors and the matching prior, and prove the propriety of joint posterior distribution under the general prior including the reference priors and the matching prior. Through the sim-ulation study, we show that the proposed reference priors match the target coverage probabilities in a frequentist sense.

  • In this paper, we develop the reference priors for the common scale parameter in the nonregular Pareto distributions with unequal shape paramters. We derive the reference priors as noninformative prior and prove the propriety of joint posterior distribution under the general prior including the reference priors. Through the simulation study, we show that the proposed reference priors match the target coverage probabilities in a frequentist sense.

  • The goal of this research is to develop and apply the integrational model for the pan evaporation and the alfalfa reference evapotranspiration in Republic of Korea. Since the observed data of the alfalfa reference evapotranspiration using lysimeter have not been measured for a long time in Republic of Korea, PM method is used to assume and estimate the observed alfalfa reference evapotranspiration. The integrational model consists of staochastics and neural networks processes respectively. The stochastics process is applied to extend for the short-term monthly pan evaporation and alfalfa reference evapotranspiration. The extended data of the monthly pan evaporation and alfalfa reference evapotranspiration is used to evaluate for the training performance. For the neural networks process, the generalized regression neural networks model(GRNNM) is applied to evaluate for the testing performance using the observed data respectively. From this research, we evaluate the impact of the limited climatical variables on the accuracy of the integrational operation of stochastics and neural networks processes. We should, furthermore, construct the credible data of the pan evaporation and the alfalfa reference evapotranspiration, and suggest the reference data for irrigation and drainage networks system in Republic of Korea.

  • The goal of this research is to develop and apply the generalized regression neural networks model (GRNNM) embedding genetic algorithm (GA) for pan evaporation, which is missed or ungaged and for the alfalfa reference evapotranspiration, which is not measured in South Korea. The GRNNM-GA is evaluated using the training, the testing, and reproduction performance respectively for the estimation of the PE and the alfalfa reference evapotranspiration. Since the observed data of the alfalfa reference evapotranspiration using lysimeter have not been measured for a long time in South Korea, the PM method is used to assume and estimate the observed alfalfa reference evapotranspiration. From this research, we evaluate the impact of the limited climatical variables on the accuracy of the GRNNM-GA. We should, furthermore, construct the credible data of the PE and the alfalfa reference evapotranspiration and suggest the reference data for irrigation and drainage networks system in South Korea.

Reference Priors in a Two-Way Mixed-Effects Analysis of Variance Model

  • We first derive group ordering reference priors in a two-way mixed-effects analysis of variance (ANOVA) model. We show that posterior distributions are proper and provide marginal posterior distributions under reference priors. We also examine whether the reference priors satisfy the probability matching criterion. Finally, the reference prior satisfying the probability matching criterion is shown to be good in the sense of frequentist coverage probability of the posterior quantile.

  • As technology has developed and cost for data processing has reduced, big data market has grown bigger. Developed countries such as the United States have constantly invested in big data industry and achieved some remarkable results like improving advertisement effects and getting patents for customer service. Every company aims to achieve long-term survival and profit maximization, but it needs to establish a good strategy, considering current industrial conditions so that it can accomplish its goal in big data industry. However, since domestic big data industry is at its initial stage, local companies lack systematic method to establish competitive strategy. Therefore, this research aims to help local companies diagnose their big data capabilities through a reference model and big data capability assessment system. Big data reference model consists of five maturity levels such as Ad hoc, Repeatable, Defined, Managed and Optimizing and five key dimensions such as Organization, Resources, Infrastructure, People, and Analytics. Big data assessment system is planned based on the reference model's key factors. In the Organization area, there are 4 key diagnosis factors, big data leadership, big data strategy, analytical culture and data governance. In Resource area, there are 3 factors, data management, data integrity and data security/privacy. In Infrastructure area, there are 2 factors, big data platform and data management technology. In People area, there are 3 factors, training, big data skills and business-IT alignment. In Analytics area, there are 2 factors, data analysis and data visualization. These reference model and assessment system would be a useful guideline for local companies.

시간 지역성과 인기 편향성을 가진 데이터 참조의 모델링 (Modeling of Data References with Temporal Locality and Popularity Bias)

  • 본 논문은 시간 지역성과 인기 편향성을 가진 데이터 참조를 나타낼 수 있는 새로운 참조 모델을 제안한다. 기존의 참조 모델 중 대표적인 LRU 스택 모델은 시간 지역성, 즉 최근에 참조된 데이터가 다시 참조될 가능성이 높은 성질을 나타낼 수 있으나, 데이터의 서로 다른 인기도를 고려할 수 없는 약점이 있다. 이와 반대로 데이터의 서로 다른 인기도를 반영할 수 있는 모델로 독립 참조 모델이 있으나, 시간에 따른 데이터 참조 성향의 변화를 모델링할 수 없는 한계가 있다. 본 논문이 제시하는 참조 모델은 이 두 모델의 한계를 극복하여 서로 다른 데이터의 인기도와 시간에 따른 참조 성향의 변화를 모두 반영할 수 있는 특징이 있다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 캐쉬 교체 알고리즘과 참조 모델의 연관성에 대해 살펴보고 제안한 모델의 최적성에 대해 보인다.

Reference clock 생성기를 이용한 10:1 데이터 변환 2.5 Gbps 광 송신기 설계 (Design of a 2.5 Gbps CMOS optical transmitter with 10:1 serializer using clock generation method)

  • The proposed optical transmitter is composed of FF(flip flop) , PLL (phase locked loop), reference clock generator, serializer and LD driver 10x250 Mb/s data arrays are translated to the 2.5 Gb/s data signal by serializer. In this case, 1 data bus is allocated usually as a reference clock for synchronization. In this proposed optical transmitter, 125 MHz reference clock is generated from 10x250 Mb/s data arrays by reference clock generator. From this method. absent of reference clock bus is available and more data transmission become possible. To achieve high speed operation, the serializer circuit is designed as two stacks. For 10:1 serialization, 10 clocks that have 1/10 lambda differences is essential, so the VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) composed of 10 delay buffers is designed. PLL is for runing at 250 MHz, and dual PFD(phase frequency detector) is adopted for fast locking time. The optical transmitter is designed by using 0.35 um CMOS technology.

젊은 한국 여성의 구강안면영역에서 절대적 온도역치와 상대적 온도역치간의 비교 (Comparison of absolute and relative thermal QST thresholds In the orofacial region of the young Korean women)

  • 신경손상과 관련된 감각이상의 평가 시 정량적 감각 신경검사법 중의 하나인 열역치검사법을 사용하며 환자의 열 자극에 대한 역치 값은 건강한 집단을 대상으로 하여 얻은 정상치 (절대값)와 비교하거나 손상부와 대응되는 비이환측에서 측정한 값 (상대값)과 좌우 비교를 통해 정상여부를 판단한다. 기존의 문헌들을 통해 상대값을 이용한 좌우비교가 집단의 절대값을 이용한 방법보다 감각신경의 이상을 판단하는데 더 효율적이라고 알려져 있지만 구강안면부에서 절대값에 대해 상대값이 갖는 효율성 여부와 그 정도에 대한 연구가 부족하기에 이번 연구를 통해 구강안면부에서 상대값의 타당도를 평가하고 절대값과 효율성을 비교하고자 하였다. 19명의 건강한 성인여성을 대상으로 이마, 뺨, 이부, 하순, 혀의 양측에 정량적 온도역치검사를 시행하여 상대 값과 절대값에 대한 평균과 표준편차를 계산하였다. 연구를 통해 각 구강안면부에서 상대값을 이용한 좌우비교 시 유의한 차이가 없었으며 대부분 유의한 상관관계를 보였으며 절대값을 이용한 방법에 비해 최대 4.6배 작은 표준편차를 보였다. 결론적으로 구강안면부에서 상대값을 이용한 정량적 온도역치검사법은 타당도가 있으며 절대값을 이용한 방법에 비해 감각신경의 이상을 판단하는데 유리하다고 볼 수 있다.
