  • In this study in order to confirm the algorithms that are suggested from paper (I) as the experimental result, as the applied results of the hydraulic servo system are very strong a non-linearity of the fluid in the computer simulation, the real-time adaptive learning control algorithms is validated. The evolutionary strategy has characteristics that are automatically. adjusted in search regions with natural competition among many individuals. The error that is generated from the dynamic system is applied to the mutation equation. Competitive individuals are reduced with automatic adjustments of the search region in accord with the error. In this paper, the individual parents and offspring can be reduced in order to apply evolutionary algorithms in real-time as the description of the paper (I). The possibility of a new approaching algorithm that is suggested from the computer simulation of the paper (I) would be proved as the verification of a real-time test and the consideration its influence from the actual experiment.

배관내 흐르는 아이스슬러리의 실시간 얼음분율 측정 (A Real Time Measurement of Ice Concentration of Ice Slurry in Pipe)

  • An experimental study was performed to measure a ice concentration of ice slurry flowing in a pipe in a real time. In the present paper, we suggested a measuring method by a refractive index and compared it to other methods by a freezing point and a density. To measure the refractive index of the solution, ice particles in the ice slurry should be completely removed and a hydro-cyclone was introduced instead of a mesh. The measuring method through the refractive index coincided with the density method using the real-time solution density within ${\pm}5%$ error range, having the error range less than the other two methods. In the other hand, the measuring method through the density has a good resolution, but the result using the initial density of the solution was different more than 10% error from that using the real-time density. And it has an error range 1.5 times greater than the method through the refractive index.

  • Accuracy of flood forecasting is an important non-structural measure on the flood control and mitigation. Hence, combination of horologic model with real time error correction became an important issue. It is one of the efficient ways to improve the forecasting precision. In this work, an approach based on Kalman Filter (KF) is proposed to continuously revise state estimates to promote the accuracy of flood forecasting results. The case study refers to the Wi River in Korea, with the flood forecasting results of Xinanjiang model. Compared to the results, the corrected results based on the Kalman filter are more accurate. It proved that this method can take good effect on hydrologic forecasting of Wi River, Korea, although there are also flood peak discharge and flood reach time biases. The average determined coefficient and the peak discharge are quite improved, with the determined coefficient exceeding 0.95 for every year.

Development, implementation and verification of a user configurable platform for real-time hybrid simulation

  • This paper presents a user programmable computational/control platform developed to conduct real-time hybrid simulation (RTHS). The architecture of this platform is based on the integration of a real-time controller and a field programmable gate array (FPGA).This not only enables the user to apply user-defined control laws to control the experimental substructures, but also provides ample computational resources to run the integration algorithm and analytical substructure state determination in real-time. In this platform the need for SCRAMNet as the communication device between real-time and servo-control workstations has been eliminated which was a critical component in several former RTHS platforms. The accuracy of the servo-hydraulic actuator displacement control, where the control tasks get executed on the FPGA was verified using single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) and 2 degrees-of-freedom (2DOF) experimental substructures. Finally, the functionality of the proposed system as a robust and reliable RTHS platform for performance evaluation of structural systems was validated by conducting real-time hybrid simulation of a three story nonlinear structure with SDOF and 2DOF experimental substructures. Also, tracking indicators were employed to assess the accuracy of the results.

Determination of cable force based on the corrected numerical solution of cable vibration frequency equations

  • The accurate determination of cable tension is important to the monitoring of the condition of a cable-stayed bridge. When applying a vibration-based formula to identify the tension of a real cable under sag, stiffness and boundary conditions, the resulting error must not be overlooked. In this work, by resolving the implicit frequency function of a real cable under the above conditions numerically, indirect methods of determining the cable force and a method to calculate the corresponding cable mode frequency are investigated. The error in the tension is studied by numerical simulation, and an empirical error correction formula is presented by fitting the relationship between the cable force error and cable parameters ${\lambda}^2$ and ${\xi}$. A case study on two real cables of the Shanghai Changjiang Bridge shows that employing the method proposed in this paper can increase the accuracy of the determined cable force and reduce the computing time relative to the time required for the finite element model.

고속 SDRAM에서 실시간 Matrix형 CRC (Real-time Matrix type CRC in High-Speed SDRAM)

  • 고속동작용 반도체 메모리 제품에 추가된 CRC는 DDR4와 같은 제품에서 데이타의 신뢰도를 증가시킨다. 기존의 CRC 방식은 부가회로 면적이 커고 많은 지연시간이 발생되어, CRC 계산을 위한 내부 타이밍 마진의 부족을 유발한다. 따라서 메모리 제품 설계에서 데이터 입출력 설계에 심각한 문제를 유발한다. 본 논문에서는 오류검출 회로설계를 위한 CRC 코드 방식을 제시하고, 실시간 matrix형 CRC 방법을 제안하였다. 데이터 비트오류 발생시 오류여부를 실시간으로 시스템에 피드백(feedback) 가능하도록 하였다. 제안한 방식은 기존방식(XOR 6단, ATM-8 HEC코드)대비 부가회로 면적을 60% 개선할 수 있으며, XOR 단 지연시간을 33%개선 할 수 있다. 또한 실시간 에러 검출 방식은 전체 데이터 비트(UI0~UI9)에 대해 평균 50% 이상 오류 검출 속도를 향상시켰다.

  • A forward error correction (FEC) is usually used to correct the errors of the real-time data occurred at the reciever side which require a real-time transmission. The data transmission is peformed after being encapsulating by RTP and UDP. In the ITU-T study group 16, four FEC schemes using the XORing are presented. In the paper, a new supplementary scheme is proposed. In the delay problem the new scheme performs better than the scheme 3 but in the recovery ability for successive packet loss is worse than scheme 3. The proposed scheme which supplements the present schemes can be adapted easily to the current network environment.

임베디드 센서를 위한 시계열 예측 기반 실시간 오류 검출 기법 (Real-time Error Detection Based on Time Series Prediction for Embedded Sensors)

  • 임베디드 센서는 낮은 전력량과 신호의 세기로 장애물이나 거리와 같은 공간 환경에 많은 영향을 받으며, 이러한 원인들로 인해 임베디드 센서에서는 노이즈 데이터가 빈번히 발생한다. 임베디드 센서에서 획득하는 정보는 시계열 데이터로 존재하기 때문에 지속적으로 발생하는 시계열 정보에 대한 오류 검출을 실시간적으로 수행하기는 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 장치의 물리적 특성을 고려하여 실시간적으로 발생하는 임베디드 센서의 오류 신호를 검출하는 시계열 예측 기반 오류 검출 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시계열 예측 기반 오류 검출 기법은 안정 구간 함수를이용하여 현재 발생하는 임베디드장치 신호의 오류를 판단한다. 안정 구간 함수는 임베디드장치 신호를 관측하여 오류 검출을 수행할 때 최근의 신호들에 오류 가중화를 적용함으로써 효과적으로 오류 신호를 탐지할 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 기법을 Intel Lab 신호를 이용하여 실험하였으며, 실험에서 본 논문에서 제안한 기법은 중심이동평균 기법에 비해 26.25%의 정확도 향상을 나타내었다.

무기체계 오류 검증을 위한 실시간 시스템 병렬시험 기법 (Real-Time System Parallel Testing Techniques for Weapon System Error Verification)

  • 본 논문은 무기체계의 오류를 검증할 때 필요한 실시간 시스템 병렬시험 기법에 대해서 제안한다. 이전에 국방분야에서 사용되는 야전시험장비는 무기체계를 순차적으로 검증하는 방식을 사용하였다. 오류를 순차적으로 검증하는 방식은 내부유닛간의 상호 간섭에 의한 부분의 오류검증은 할 수 없었다. 이러한 이유로 인해 본 논문에는 기존에 무기체계 오류 검증 시 사용되는 순차적 시험기법이 아닌 임베디드 장치를 이용한 실시간 시스템 병렬시험 기법을 제안한다. 임베디드 모듈이 탑재된 스위칭 제어카드는 병렬시험을 수행하고 그 결과를 사용자의 제어장치로 전달한다. 이러한 방식은 기존의 방식에 비해 좀 더 정확하게 무기체계 내부의 상호 간섭에 대한 오류 검증을 할 수 있다.
