Study on hair dryer thermal vibration massage to make shaving more comfortable

  • When shaving, it is easy to suffer shaving burns, that is, facial burn irritation during shaving. The reason is that the razor blade irritates the skin. The current solution is to make the razor sharper and use a razor with a blade heating function. Although these ways can increase the comfort of shaving, they will also greatly increase shaving costs. This paper proposes using a hairdryer to massage the skin before shaving to reduce skin irritation during shaving. This is a simple, practical and low-cost method. The hair dryer's heat, sound, and wind energy have a massage effect, and they can make shaving easier and more comfortable. For analyzing shaving effect, two evaluation methods are used, which are sound spectrum analysis and mos. The sound spectrum analysis is used to analyze the working status of the razor objectively. The MOS test can reflect the subjective feelings of the subject on the shaving's comfort. The results show that the hairdryer thermal vibration massage can make the beard easier to cut, thereby reducing the irritation of the razor to the skin and improving shaving comfort.

사점굽힘시험법을 이용한 이종절연막 (Si/SiO2||Si3N4/Si) SOI 기판쌍의 접합강도 연구 (Direct Bonded (Si/SiO2∥Si3N4/Si) SIO Wafer Pairs with Four-point Bending)

  • $2000{\AA}-SiO_2/Si(100)$ and $560{\AA}-Si_3N_4/Si(100)$ wafers, which are 10 cm in diameter, were directly bonded using a rapid thermal annealing method. We fixed the anneal time of 30 second and varied the anneal temperatures from 600 to $1200^{\circ}C$. The bond strength of bonded wafer pairs at given anneal temperature were evaluated by a razor blade crack opening method and a four-point bonding method, respectively. The results clearly slow that the four-point bending method is more suitable for evaluating the small bond strength of 80~430 mJ/$\m^2$ compared to the razor blade crack opening method, which shows no anneal temperature dependence in small bond strength.

화상을 동반한 당뇨발 환자에게 Razor Blade를 이용한 부분층피부조각 이식술의 효용성 (Fragmented Split-Thickness Skin Graft Using a Razor Blade in Burn Induced Diabetic Foot)

  • Diabetic patients have an increased risk of burn injuries on foot. Because of their diabetic neuropathy, they could contact with hot water or warming device without being aware of it. Split-thickness skin graft (STSG) is successful in treatment of various wound types; however, donor site wounds are sometimes problematic, and complications such as pain and impaired healing often occur. Although, donor site wounds in healthy young individuals can rapidly heal without complications, the wound-healing capacity of elderly patients or those with a comorbidity has been reported to be low. The dermatome is the most commonly used tool because it can harvest a large skin graft in one attempt. However, it is difficult to harvest tissues if the area is not flat. Furthermore, because the harvested skin is usually rectangular, additional skin usually remains after skin grafting. Therefore, use of razor blade and fragmented STSG on a large defect area is advantageous for harvesting a graft with a desired size, shape, and thickness. From January 2018 to July 2018, fragmented STSG was used in 9 patients who suffered from burn induced open wound on foot with diabetic neuropathy. With this approach, healing process was relatively rapid. The mean age of patients was 70 (57~86 years) and all of 9 patients had diabetes mellitus type 2. In all patients, the skin graft on the defect site healed well and did not result in complications such as hematoma or seroma.

생체친화형 지르코니아 헤어커터 개발 (Development of zirconia hair cutter for biocompability)

  • 본 연구에서는 스틸 헤어커터와 비교하여 절삭성, 내식성 내마모성이 우수하고 생체친화성이 뛰어난 소재인 지르코니아($ZrO_2$)를 원료로 하는 헤어커터 개발을 위하여 설계, 성형, 소결, 연마가공 최적화를 통해 두께 0.253mm의 초박형 지르코니아 커터를 제작하였다. 커터 시편을 전자주사현미경(SEM)으로 관찰한 결과, 성형성과 절삭면 가공이 양호한 것으로 나타났으며, 절단시험을 통해 상품성이 충분한 것으로 평가되었다. 본 지르코니아 커터 가공기술 연구결과를 이용하여 면도기, 여성용 제모기, 눈썹정리기 등 고부가가치 미용기구 개발에 활용 될 수 있다.

밤나무의 영양번식(榮養繁殖)을 위(爲)한 한 방법(方法) (A Method for Vegetative Propagation of Chestnut tree)

  • 밤나무 종자(種子)의 발아초기(發芽初期)에 유근(幼根)과 유경(幼莖)을 할절(割切), 단일종자(單一種子)로부터 여러쌍(雙)의 동일유전자형(同一遺傳子型)을 얻는 방법(方法)으로 본연구(本硏究) 결과(結果), 밤나무종자(種子)의 유근(幼根)과 유경(幼莖)을 일주(一週) 간격(間隔)으로 1-3회(回)로 나누어 할절(割切)하여 2-8개체(個體)의 동일유전자형(同一遺傳子型)을 만들었다. 그 생장율(生長率)은 90-100%이며, 일회(一回)의 할절묘(割切苗)는 수회(數回)의 할절묘(割切苗)보다 생존율 생장량 및 T/R율(率)이 불량(不良)하고, 단일종자(單一種子)에서 얻은 4개체(個體)까지는 정상묘(正常苗와) 별 차이가 없고, 외부형태(外部形態)도 완전(完全)한 원형(原形)을 회복하였다.

안전한 습식면도를 위한 소리마사지 적용 연구 (On an Application of the Sound Massage for Safe Wet Shaving)

  • 성인남성이 면도를 하는 것은 생활 필수요건 중에 하나이다. 생리적인 이유로 대부분의 성인 남성들은 수염을 기르고 있으며, 남성들이 수염을 다듬고 잘 관리하면 외모가 더 깔끔해 진다. 습식면도기에 무딘 날을 사용하거나, 적절한 마사지를 사용하지 않으면 피부 자극이 발생하여 면도상처를 입을 수도 있다. 따라서 면도 후 피부가 매끄러워지는 것만큼 면도기의 편리함과 편안함이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 습식면도가 피부에 주는 자극을 줄이고, 면도의 편리함을 높이기 위한 소리마사지의 사전 면도방법을 제안하였다. 비대면 저주파스피커를 통해 피부를 부드럽게 하거나 유분을 분비해 피부 윤기를 높여서 면도를 부드럽고 안전하게 해 준다. 우리는 습식면도 전후의 피부상태를 파악하기 위해 습식면도 상태의 소리를 각각 녹음하였고, 이 소리스펙트럼으로 그 효과를 객관적으로 비교분석하였다. 즉, 실험결과에서 면도 전 소리마사지가 면도칼과 피부, 피부와 수염 사이의 마찰이 -7.0dB 감소되어 습식면도의 피부상처를 개선하고, 상쾌한 면도가 이루어짐을 알 수 있다.

열처리 방법에 따른 SOI 기판의 스트레스변화 (Stress Evolution with Annealing Methods in SOI Wafer Pairs)

  • It is of importance to know that the bonding strength and interfacial stress of SOI wafer pairs to meet with mechanical and thermal stresses during process. We fabricated Si/2000$\AA$-SiO$_2$ ∥ 2000$\AA$-SiO$_2$/Si SOI wafer pairs with electric furnace annealing, rapid thermal annealing (RTA), and fast linear annealing (FLA), respectively, by varying the annealing temperatures at a given annealing process. Bonding strength and interfacial stress were measured by a razor blade crack opening method and a laser curvature characterization method, respectively. All the annealing process induced the tensile thermal stresses. Electrical furnace annealing achieved the maximum bonding strength at $1000^{\circ}C$-2 hr anneal, while it produced constant thermal tensile stress by $1000^{\circ}C$. RTA showed very small bonding strength due to premating failure during annealing. FLA showed enough bonding strength at $500^{\circ}C$, however large thermal tensile stress were induced. We confirmed that premated wafer pairs should have appropriate compressive interfacial stress to compensate the thermal tensile stress during a given annealing process.

실리콘 직접 접합을 위한 선형가열법의 개발 및 SOI 기판에의 적용 (Development of Linear Annealing Method for Silicon Direct Bonding and Application to SOI structure)

  • SOI (Silicon-On-Insulator) substrates were fabricated with varying annealing temperature of $25-660^{\circ}C$ by a linear annealing method, which was modified RTA process using a linear shape heat source. The annealing method was applied to Si ∥ $SiO_2$/Si pair pre-contacted at room temperature after wet cleaning process. The bonding strength of SOI substrates was measured by two methods of Razor-blade crack opening and direct tensile test. The fractured surfaces after direct tensile test were also investigated by the optical microscope as well as $\alpha$-STEP gauge. The interface bonding energy was 1140mJ/m$^2$ at the annealing temperature of $430^{\circ}C$. The fracture strength was about 21MPa at the temperature of $430^{\circ}C$. These mechanical properties were not reported with the conventional furnace annealing or rapid thermal annealing method at the temperature below $500^{\circ}C$. Our results imply that the bonded wafer pair could endure CMP (Chemo-Mechanical Polishing) or Lapping process without debonding, fracture or dopant redistribution.

Sulfhydryl-Related and Phenylpropanoid-Synthesizing Enzymes in Arabidopsis thaliana Leaves after Treatments with Hydrogen Peroxide, Heavy Metals, and Glyphosate

  • Three-week grown Arabidopsis thaliana leaves were wounded by cutting whole leaves with a razor blade into pieces (about$3\;mm\;{\times}\;3\;mm$) submerged in various solutions, and incubated in a growth chamber for 24 h. We measured and compared activities of several enzymes such as phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), tyrosine ammonia-lyase (TAL), thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, thioltransferase, glutathione reductase, and $NADP^+$ -malate dehydrogenase. PAL activity was decreased in $HgCl_2$-, $CdCl_2$-, and glyphosate-treated leaf slices, and could not be detected after treatment with $CdCl_2$. TAL activity was found to be maximal in the $CdCl_2$-treated leaf slices. Activity of thioredoxin, a small protein known as a cofactor of ribonucleotide reductase and a regulator of photosynthesis, was significantly increased in the $CdCl_2$-treated leaf slices, while thioredoxin reductase activity was maximal in the $HgCl_2$-treated leaf slices. Thioltransferase and glutathione reductase activities were significantly decreased in the $HgCl_2$-treated leaf slices. $NADP^+$ -malate dehydrogenase activity remained relatively constant after the chemical treatments. Our results strongly indicate that sulfhydryl-related and phenylpropanoid-synthesizing enzyme activities are affected by chemical treatments such as hydrogen peroxide, heavy metals, and glyphosate.

무당개구리 (Bombina orientalis) 피부의 초기 상처치유반응 (Early Healing Responses of the Skin Wounds in the Korean Fire-Bellied Toad, Bombina orientalis)

  • Early wound healing responses in the skin of the Korean fire bellied toad, Bombina orientalis, were examined using histochemical , scanning and transmission electron microscopical techniques. Cutaneous wounds were induced by sharp razor blade , and maintained in special cages for up to 3 days. By this treatment whole parts of epithelium and dermis were profoundly affected. After injury, retraction of damaged surface of the skin was observed. At 3 hours after injury, poly-band was form by mucous substance. The wound skin consisted of mucous gland secreted mucous substance which flows into wound cavity and the wound area was sealed by mucous substance which form thick layer at 6 hours. It appeared that natural disposition showed acid and neutral mucous substance by reaction of PAS and Alcian blue (pH 2.5) staining. After formation of the poly-band, epithelial cells were formed by migration of regenerating epithelial cells. These cells moved over the wound surface by migration at 12 hours after wounding. Poly-band was much increased in thickness and migrating cells were completely formed wound closure at 24 hours post-wounding. After 72 hours regenerated epithelial layer consists of four or five cell layers which are similar to clear, granular, and spinous layer.
