A phase delay spectrum model towards the representation of spatial coherence of stochastic wind fields is proposed. Different from the classical coherence functions used in the spectral representation methods, the model is derived from the comprehensive description of coherence of fluctuating wind speeds and from the thorough analysis of physical accounts of random factors affecting phase delay, building up a consistent mapping between the simulated fluctuating wind speeds and the basic random variables. It thus includes complete probabilistic information of spatial stochastic wind fields. This treatment prompts a ready and succinct scheme for the simulation of fluctuating wind speeds, and provides a new perspective to the accurate assessment of dynamic reliability of wind-induced structures. Numerical investigations and comparative studies indicate that the developed model is of rationality and of applicability which matches well with the measured data at spatial points of wind fields, whereby the phase spectra at defined datum mark and objective point are feasibly obtained using the numerical scheme associated with the starting-time of phase evolution. In conjunction with the stochastic Fourier amplitude spectrum that we developed previously, the time history of fluctuating wind speeds at any spatial points of wind fields can be readily simulated.

This paper introduces the concept of a random universal hash function to amplify security in a quantum key distribution system. It seems to provide security amplification using the relationship between quantum error correction and security. In addition, the approach in terms of security amplification shows that phase error correction offers better security. We explain how the universal hash function enhances security using the BB84 protocol, which is a typical example of QKD(Quantum Key Distribution). Finally, we show that the BB84 protocol using random privacy amplification is safe at higher key rates than Mayers' performance at the same error rate.
This paper describes the design and implementation of a single-chip digitally synthesized 0-35MHz agile function generator. The chip comprises an integrated direct digital synthesizer (DDS) with a 10-bit on- chip digital-to-analog converter (DAC) using an n-well single-poly triple-metal 0.5-$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. The main features of the chip include maximum clock frequency of 100 MHz at 3.3-V supply voltage, 32-bit frequency tuning word resolution, 12-bit phase tuning word resolution, and an on-chip 10-bit DAC. The chip provides sinusoidal, ramp, saw-tooth, and random waveforms with phase and frequency modulation, and power-down function. At 100-MHz clock frequency, the chip covers a bandwidth from dc to 35 MHz in 0.0233-Hz frequency steps with 190-ns frequency switching speed. The complete chip occupies 12-mm$^2$die area and dissipates 0.4 W at 100-MHz clock frequency.

This paper introduces a new energy function, as maximum a posteriori(MAP) estimate of binocular disparity, that can deal with both random dot stereo-gram(RDS) and natural scenes. The energy function uses phase-magnitude as features to detect only the shift for a pair of corrupted conjugate images. Also we adopted Fleet singularity that effectively detects unstable areas of image plant and thus eliminates in advance error-prone stereo mathcing. The multi-scale concept is applied to the multi laser architecture that can search the solutions systematically from coarse to fine details and thereby avoids drastically the local minima. Using mean field approximation, we obtained a compact representation that is suitable for fast computation. In this manner, the energy function satisfies major natural constraints and requirements for implementing parallel relaxation. As an experiment, the proposed algorithm is applied to RDS and natural stereo images. As a result we will see that it reveals good performance in terms of recognition errors, parallel implementation, and noise characteristics.

The error rate performance of circularly distributed antenna system is studied over Nakagami-m fading channels, where a dual-channel receiver is employed for the quadrature phase shift keying signals detection. To mitigate the Co-Channel Interference (CCI) caused by the adjacent cells and to save the transmit power, this work presents remote antenna unit selection transmission based on the best channel quality and the maximized path-loss, respectively. The commonly used Gaussian and Q-function approximation method in which the CCI and the noise are assumed to be Gaussian distributed fails to depict the precise system performance according to the central limit theory. To this end, this work treats the CCI as a random variable with random variance. Since the in-phase and the quadrature components of the CCI are correlated over Nakagami-m fading channels, the dependency between the in-phase and the quadrature components is also considered for the error rate analysis. For the special case of Rayleigh fading in which the dependency between the in-phase and the quadrature components can be ignored, the closed-form error rate expressions are derived. Numerical results validate the accuracy of the theoretical analysis, and a comparison among different transmission schemes is also performed.

This thesis is proposing novel RPWM(Random PWM) techniques that can locate PWM pulse to do random. RPWM techniques to propose locates SVPWM(Space Vector PWM) pulse by number of each random and principle to locate of pulse applies different random function and locate pulse. For propriety verification of proposed techniques, achieve an simulation and experiment that use MATLAB/SIMULINK about proposed RPWM techniques algorithm and IGBT inverter composition that use DSP(TMS320C31). Specially, analyze harmonic spectra of inverter output current when the induction motor speed is more than 10,000 rpm, confirm that RPWM's effect in high speed degree appears. Proposed RPWM techniques propriety prove from reduction effect of harmonic magnitude that corresponds to an integer times of switching frequency.

The performance of noncoherent FH/FSK system in the presence of multitone jamming and noise is analyged. Random and the structured jammings are considered as a multitone jamming model. The probability density function is derived and then optimum decision rule is applied to determine error probability of each cases. As a result, error probabilities of random and structured multitone jamming are shown as a function of number of jamming tones, jamming to signal power ratio, jamming signal phase and one jamming tone power to signal power ratio under Worst-case Jamming interference. It is found that error probability is maximam when one jamming tone power to signal power ratio is 1. Also we know that error performance of random and structured jamming is almost equal.
The success of target reconstruction in SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) imaging system is greatly dependent on the coherent detection. Primary causes of incoherent detection are uncompensated target or sensor motion, random turbulence in propagation media, wrong path in radar platform, and etc. And these appear as multiplicative phase error to the echoed signal, which consequently, causes fatal degradations such as fading or dislocation of target image. In this paper, we present iterative phase error estimation scheme which uses echoed data in all temporal frequencies. We started with analyzing wave equation for one point target and extend to overall echoed data from the target scene - The two wave equations governing the SAR signal at two temporal frequencies of the radar signal are combined to derive a method to reconstruct the complex phase error function. Eventually, this operation attains phase error correction algorithm from the total received SAR signal. We verify the success of the proposed algorithm by applying it to the simulated spotlight-mode SAR data.
In this paper, we consider conventional and modified proportional navigation guidance(PNG) laws for a random maneuvering target. By means of Lyapunov function approach, we show that an ideal missile guided by the conventional PNG law can always intercept a random maneuvering target if some specified initial conditions are satisfied and the navigation constant is chosen sufficiently high. In addition, we propose a modified PNG law. At the final phase of pursuit, the proposed guidance law has a better acceleration profile than the conventional PNG law.
Using three-components geomagnetic data from a permanent geomagnetic observatory in Icheon, we have computed the power spectrum of each geomagnetic component, amplitude, phase and estimation error of transfer function for each day in the 6 months period July 2002${\sim}$December 2002. The temporal variation of power spectrum have random appearances with repeating relative strong and weak magnitude, which is considered as solar activities. However, there is no clear long-term trend. In the case of amplitude, phase and error of transfer function, even though there are some random patterns over the periods of 1000 s and under 100 s, they seem to be comparatively stable without manifest temporal changes. Futhermore, we have estimated electrical field by assuming P$_{1}\;^{0}$ spherical harmonics and then calculated the approximated apparent resistivity for each day. As a result, the variations of resistivity depend on the temporal magnitude of spectral power in horizontal magnetic fields rather than hydrological changes in near surface.
