  • In this paper, we have performed a numerical calculation of the scattered electromagnetic field around the building to evaluate electromagnetic interference caused by the building in the TV frequency band. The relations between the exposed concrete area of a building wall and the magnitude of the reflected wave have been examined in the case that the electroagnetic wave absorbers partially cover the building wall. From the obtained scattered electromagnetic field, we have calculated the DU radio and the required reflection loss of the electromagnetic wave absorbers which attached on the building wall to protect TV ghost.

  • In mobile radio communication system involving geostationary satellites the field intensity of electromagnetic wave varies with frequency shape and location of an obstacle between a tramamitter and a receiver. In this paper a ring type obstacle between the propagation paths is presented. On the basis of Fresnel diffraction theory, the field intensity varying with ring-type obstacle’s radius is obtained by computer simulation.]

  • This paper presents a Bagley polygon and Gysel divider using open-stub loaded transmission line. The structure of slow-wave characteristic consists of small transmission line and shunt capacitive open stub that have reduced characteristic impedance and phase velocity, so we can implement the small circuit size. To validate the slow-wave characteristics, we are implemented the slow-wave characteristic of Bagley polygon and Gysel divider at center frequency 2.1 GHz. Its characteristics are same, but the circuit size is reduced above 15 % respectively.

  • This paper was proposed a wave path loss prediction algorithm using multilayer perceptron (MLP) model and wave propagation characteristic parameters for Wireless LAN in indoor radio environments. Receiving power was predicted by calculating indoor path loss in a Wireless LAN that has transmission power of 100mW and frequency of 2.4GHz, and was compared with measured. In the result of measurement shows that there is a difference between predicted and measured receiving power which can be reduced by an accurate analysis of the various path loss factors. In order to fix the access point(AP) positions was used the proposed a wave path loss prediction algorithm, and designed the optimum cell for Wireless LAN.

  • This paper deals with research for development of electromagnetic wave absorbers in sheet type for mobile phones. By controlling the sendust ratio, the $Al(OH)_3$ coating, the thickness, the kind of binders, and the milling time, electromagnetic wave absorbers were prepared and examined. Central frequency shills toward lower 2.2 GHz, 1.29 GHz, 842 MHz with increasing thickness 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm of the absorber, and absorption ability controlled each 2.2 GHz to 1.91 GHz, 1.29 GHz to 801 MHz, 842 MH2 to 801 MHz adjust sendust amount from 80 wt% to 85 wt%. The absorption band of the electromagnetic wave absorber coated with $Al(OH)_3$ becomes larger than that of non-coated one. Sendust composite microwave absorbers mixed with CPE were prepared at $70^{\circ}C$ in temperature. The fabricated electromagnetic wave absorbers show a reflection coefficient 5.76 dB at 1.8 GHz in thickness of 0.85 mm.

  • In this paper, the EM wave absorber was designed and fabricated for preventing Reader Interference of RFID communication system in UHF band We fabricated several samples in different composition ratios of Amorphous and CPE(Chlorinated Polyethylene). Absorption abilities were simulated in accordance with different thicknesses of the prepared absorbers and changed complex relative permittivity and permeability due to composition ratio. The mixing ratio of Amorphous and CPE was searched as 80 : 20 wt.% by experiments and simulation. Then the EM wave absorber was fabricated and tested using the simulated data. As a result, the developed EM wave absorber has a thickness of 4 mm and absorption ability was over 20 dB in frequency range of $860\;MHz{\sim}960\;MHz$. Therefore, it was confirmed that the developed absorber can be used for suppressing RFID reader interference in UHF band.

  • In general, a Doppler radar can measure only the velocity of a moving target. To measure the distance of a moving target, it is necessary to use a frequency-modulated continuous wave or pulse radar. However, the latter are very complex in terms of both hardware as well as signal processing. Moreover, the requirement of wide bandwidth necessitates the use of millimeter-wave frequency bands of 24 GHz and 77 GHz. Recently, a new kind of Doppler radar using multitone frequency has been studied to sense the distance of moving targets in addition to their speed. In this study, we show that distance sensing of moving targets is possible by adjusting only the frequency of a 2.4 GHz Doppler radar with low cost phase lock loop. In particular, we show that distance can be sensed using only alternating current information without direct current offset information. The proposed technology satisfies the Korean local standard for low power radio equipment for moving target identification in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, and enables multiple long-range sensing and radio-frequency identification applications.

  • The research, design, and development of wireless access technologies using the new 6 to 100GHz band mmWave are actively underway in order to address the frequency shortage problem in the sub-6GHz band and accommodate the 5G technical requirements, such as the increased transmission capacity. Technical elements to efficiently overcome the problems caused by mmWave signal characteristics, support an effective interworking with a conventional communication service, and ensure smooth mobility between mmWave base stations and existing base stations are also being investigated. This paper discusses the technical solutions for an mmWave-based 5G RAN configuration and their considerations under various operational scenarios.
