A Package Design for RSS Reader Systems (RSS 구독 시스템을 위한 패키지의 설계)

  • The RSS Reader is a software application that assist users easily to read and collect contents which are frequently changeable syndicated contents of RSS format that published on the web. This paper presents a formula software design based on RUP object-oriented design method for implementing the RSS Reader. We extract a use case based on requirements for implement of the RSS Reader and propose a domain concept model by. Using above artifacts, we extract event to generate between users and, the RSS Reader and logical architecture. So, we design classes and packages of the RSS Reader. As proposed a formula software design about the RSS Reader in early stage, it can make the RSS Reader with a variety of characters easily based on these.

  • In this paper, we purpose requirement capturing for RSS reader that be able to aggregate and subscribe to a RSS format document and describing for analysis model. We execute requirement analysis and documentation by using analysis model which is adopted use case model. And the method of requirement analysis is based on Responsibility Driven Design. Analysis model that is not premised on special reader is able to use business model.

  • Recently, the most of website is supporting RSS with increasing the interest regarding web 2.0. RSS-reader is collecting the contents of RSS formats which are provided from the various web site and it is software application that assist users easily to getting the last update of area of interest without visiting a corresponding web site. In this paper, we developed RSS reader through Ajax which is an asynchronous method, JSP/Servlet which is a dynamic scripting language. We made them support both RSS format 1.0 and 2.0. Additionally developed fluid Ajax based menus, categories and functions of user-friendliness.

  • In this study, we develop a RSS-based educational information system for providing users, such as teachers, students, and parents of students with an adapted information. In order to collect an educational information from diverse web pages we design a web-based RSS reader. The RSS reader reads RSS files from the web sites or blogs which provide RSS feeds and then creates XML documents. The created XML documents are classified and registered into the system. Whenever the registered web-pages are updated, the system can automatically collect the updated information and provide the user with it. Therefore the user can be provided a real-time adapted educational information without searching web-sites from the system.

  • Recently, it is increasing the interest in previous web and web 2.0 which mean differentiation. The previous system is typical Static web based on client and server model, while web 2.0 mean next generation web which web change and evolve fundamentally. In this paper, I suggest that the module on RSS reader available under web 2.0 standards. A currently used RSS feed do correct the part distortion which can be possible resolve the encoding problem of Hanguel and third-world language. The suggested module is implemented using Ajax. I developed the module for the use of effective contents on web 2.0 through the DragBox module based on the programming on mobility of Ajax and the design and implementation of automatic update module of RSS feed.

  • It is well known that internet shoppers are very sensitive to sale prices. They visit the various shopping malls and collect the product information including purchase conditions for goods purchase decision-making. Recently the necessity of information support is increasing because of increase of information amount which is necessary and complexity of goods purchase decision-making process. The comparison shopping agent systems have provided price comparison information which is collected from various shopping malls to satisfy internet shoppers information craving. But the frequent price change caused by keen price competition is becoming the primary reason of information quality decline among price comparison sites. RSS which is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated is applied even in on-line shopping malls. This paper develops a RSS product information collection system to get real-time product information. The proposed product information system consists of (1) web crawler module for searching RSS feed shopping malls automatically, (2) RSS reader module for parsing product information from RSS feed file, (3) product DB and (4) product searching module. Performance of the proposed system is higher than the comparison shopping agent systems when it is defined with the volume of collecting product information per unit time.

  • The RSS is a document format for syndicate a document maded by a WebSite. A document that made and syndicated to fit for this format is called a RSS feed or a feed. This paper presents the design of package for an RSS feed parser that analyzes an RSS feed and saves its informations. according to the RSS specification. This paper establishes an RSS grammar and an automata recognizing that grammar. Based on the automata, we design a package for classes that recognize elements of an RSS feed.

  • In the Web 2.0, besides more gaining information on the web, the number of web sites that take advantage of RSS increases explosively. Commonly each users search RSS channels through the web search engine before registering RSS channel's url to the RSS reader. Users judge whether the site is RSS channel or not and register an RSS channel's url through theirs interests. Because accomplished by users themselves, those processes conflict to user's convenience and quick consumption of information. Techniques of current search engines can't provide users with reliable RSS feed information as search results. In this paper, we analysis appropriateness of current search engines' techniques that offer users RSS feed search service and discuss their limitations. Also, we make up RSS feed database through classification of RSS tag being possible to search RSS feed information effectively and apply update rate of each RSS channel's feed to ranking algorithm providing more reliable search results.
