Analysis of health-related microbes called probiotics was performed by capillary electrophoresis. A rapid and easy characterization for two important probiotics, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Enterococcus feacalis, was obtained in the running buffer containing poly(ethylene oxide). Quantitation of probiotic (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) shows a good linearity between the peak area versus the concentration of microbe. From the comparison of electropherograms of antidiarrhea, it was found that capillary electrophoresis could be employed for the quality control and quality assurance for the production of a medicine containing the probiotics.

Many companies of the world have applied the TQM, which was originated from Japanese management style, to increase their competitiveness. It is not so easy to implement successfully the management practices originated from the foreign countries, which are usually mixed with specific cultures and management systems of their own. Some American companies created some best practices such as 6 sigma approach for applying TQM by creative benchmarking. This Paper Presents some issues for creative benchmarking for Korean companies through the analysis of the creative benchmarking processes of the successful American companies.

Nonlinear rank statistics for the simple tree alternatives problem are considered. Pitman efficiencies between several procedures are studied. A new maximin procedure is suggested and shown to have good efficiency properties. Additionally, it is desirable to terminate the experiment early comparing well known rank statistics or multiple comparison test statistics.

In this paper t he minimum variance unbiased, maximum likelihood and empirical estimators of the probability $P_r$ ($X_1<Y<X_2$) are obtained, where $X_1$, $X_2$ and Y are mutually independent exponential random variables. Comparison of estimators is discussed in the last section for illustraition.

In this paper, we present a half rate speech coder using trellis excitation. The coder combines code-excited linear prediction (CELP) system and trellis quantization method using the codebook expansion, and it produces higher speech quality than the typical CELP coder for the same transmission rate. A subjective comparison with 3~8 bit .$\mu$-law PCM indicates that the half rate coder provides speech quality between 5-bit and 6-bit $\mu$-law PCM .

In this study, the pros and cons of TPM and RCM were comparatively evaluated at various aspects : a, pp.ication process, objectives, maintenance items, organizations, analysis of maintenace methods, etc. It is found that TPM can be considered as a management discipline. However, in TPM, there seldom exist concrete rules or guidelines to select a maintenance scheme. RCM, which is a widely used maintenance scheme for aircrafts or power plants, has a good analysis and decision logic for maintenance planning. In the paper, similar decision rules are adopted to TPM deployment to get an effective and effecient maintenance Planning.

본 연구는 제조 부문과 서비스 부문 간의 서로 다른 6시그마 프로젝트에 대해 분석하였으며 각 부문 별 8편씩 실제 프로젝트 사례를 바탕으로 서술하였다. 서술 단계는 6시그마 기법 중 DMAIC 방법을 기본으로 하였으며 최근 6시그마를 도입하고 있는 서비스 부문에 대해 제조 부문과의 차이점을 분석하여 향후 서비스 부문이 6시그마 도입하는 과정에서 문제점과 나아갈 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study were 1) to investigate the degree of quality of life and housing satisfaction and the variables to affect it, 2) to identify housing and community satisfaction between Seoul and Chung-Ju city residents and to compare it if there were any differences. The results were Seoul city residents' life and housing satisfactions are more higher than Chung-Ju's and housing variable influenced relatively higher degree to life satisfaction. Prefered housing and community features were identified and community satisfaction variables were investigated.

This paper compared the seakeeping quality of U, V type ships in infinite depth by using the finite element method. From the calculated results, it is found that heaving and pitching motions of V type are comparatively better than those of U type ship in the water of infinite depth and the reversed phenomenon occures in the water of finite depth. And the seakeeping quality of U type is better than V type ship in larger ranges than the nondimensional wave number 2.0.

High speed trains with maximum speed of 300km/h, named KTX, have started revenue services since April 2004. Is becoming big problem where currently the KTX train because excessive braking noise at a station platform. The KTX braking noise follows in operating mode of KTX train and important railroad station where the quality appears different, the quality against hereupon from the commerce vehicle from the research which it sees it executes and comparison to analyze.
