Experimental Evaluation of the Effect of the Mixing Design Factors of the Cementitious Composite for 3D Printer on the Printing Quality (3D 프린터용 시멘트 복합체의 배합요인에 따른 출력 품질의 실험적 평가)

  • In this paper, to evaluate the output quality of the cementitious composite mixture for printing with the ME method for construction 3D printer, visual inspection of the output appearance and the dimensional error rate, compressive strength and flexural strength of the output were measured. As a result of the test, the mixing design with excellent output appearance was P1-2, P1-4, P2-5, P2-6, and the mixing design with good output appearance was P0-1, P1-1, P1-3, P1-6, P1-7 and P2-4. Of these mixing designs, P0-1 and P2-6 had the lowest dimensional error rates As a result of evaluating the compressive strength and flexural strength of the various mixing designs, the Mixing design with excellent output designs showed good mechnical properties. However, mixing designs with excellent mechanical properties does not necessarily have excellent output quality. Therefore, in order to accurately evaluate the output quality, it is judged that visual inspection and dimensional error rate inspection should be performed first, and then the mechanical characteristics should be reviewed.

  • Quality system of construction industry in Korea was a means to prevent unqualified construction work. But lately, it has became an essential requirement. So, lots of construction companies acquire ISO quality management system which provides fundamental management criteria. Now, most of the Korean construction companies have got IS0 quality management system. So, getting ISO quality management system doesn't mean advantage in public competition of construction bidding and that causes increase in the maintenance cost. That's why some construction companies abandon the 150 certificate. Therefore, the authors need to check the effect of ISO quality management system. For this, the authors provide the performance measurement index of ISO quality management system.

A Study of Relationship with Quality of Life and Health Promoting Behavior in The Climacteric Women (일 지역 갱년기 여성의 건강증진 행위와 삶의 질에 관한 연구)

  • This study was done to describe the health promoting behavior and the quality of life among climacteric women and to identify the factors affecting the performance in health promoting behavior and the level of quality of life among climacteric women. The subjects of this study were 171 women(40 to 60 years old). The sample data were collected using a convenient sampling method, collected from August 10th to September 20th, 2000. The instruments for this study were the health promoting behavior scale(Park, 1995), the quality of life scale(No, 1988). Frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation with SPSS program were used to analyze the data. The results of the study were as follows; 1) The average score of the performance in the health-promoting behavior variables was 2.594. The variable with the highest degree of performance was the sanitary environment, whereas the one with the lowest degree was the professional health maintenance. 2) The average score of the level in the quality of life variables was 3.069. The variable with the highest degree was the relationship with neighbor, whereas the one with lowest degree was the economic life factor. 3) Performance in the health- promoting behavior was positively related to the level in the quality of life(r=0.54, P=0.001). 4) A significant difference was demonstrated between educational level, income, perceived health status and health-promoting behavior. 5) A significant difference was demonstrated between perceived health status and quality of life.

Comparison of Changes in Upstream and Downstream Water Quality of Tributary Rivers: Gyeseong-stream and Hwapo-stream in Nakdongmiryang Watershed (지류하천의 상·하류 수질변화 비교: 낙동밀양 중권역 내 계성천 화포천을 대상으로)

  • Tributary is a part of life space for people and a very important place that accommodates rest recreation and other daily activities. absolutely insufficient basic data about water quality and flow rate are available for basin management. Efficient water and basin management systems, which are also supported by local residents can be established by securing such basic data of major tributaries in the Nakdong river system. In this study, the fluctuation characteristics of upstream and downstream water pollution levels were compared using the measurement results of the water environment measurement network and the tributary monitoring project for the gyeseong-stream and Hwapo-stream in the Nakdong-miryang watershed. In 2017, when water pollution is the highest, it was confirmed that the annual average rainfall was the lowest. Although the upstream and downstream water quality tendencies of the Gyeseong-stream are similar, the water quality concentrations of the Gyeseong-stream are relatively different. But although the Hwapo stream has various causes of pollution, there was not much difference in the level of pollution between the upper and lower streams. In addition, both rivers need the ability to purify rivers by securing sufficient water for river maintenance, and if the correlation between water quality items can be inferred through continuous monitoring of tributaries where the aspect of water quality change is unclear, water quality management Determined to be efficient operation.

  • This paper is thing for a quantitive quality evaluation in national Defense Human Resource Management Information S/W system development. Apply a quantitive quality evaluation way to be based on an international standard to admonish at ISO/IEC 9126. Proposed 6 basis of count, and set up sub 27 items detailed functionality, reliability, use anger, efficiency, maintenance anger, a transplant result, and inspection of quality table wrote the Matrix measured S/W quality to a chart. Studied a quantitive evaluation plan of a Defense Human Resource Management Information S/W system to see weight by the priority order that reflected a characteristic of a national defense business to a Purpose of a subject user, and Presented. It is 80% in quantitive quality evaluation application satisfied under 8, Very Satisfied 7(87.5%) Satisfied 1(12.5%) of Defense Human Resource Managers and judgment worked as marked so that satisfaction of reliability and a user regarding functionality was high and there will be contribute to an elevation of defense capabilities as analyze efficient national defense S/W use and effect.

A Study on the Drinking Water Quality and Contamination Sources in a Rural Area (일부 농촌지역의 오염원 현황과 먹는 물 수질에 관한 조사연구)

  • To evaluate the quality of drinking water and contamination sources in a rural community, this study was carried out on the summer of 2003 at Shin-Dong Myun, Chun-Cheon, Gang-Won province. Seventy three drinking water samples were collected from three different types of water supply systems. Sources of contamination were identified and the public perception of water quality area were evaluated. The findings of this study are as follows; Drinking water was mainly obtained from Local Water and Simple Piped Water Supply Systems, and pollution sources varied over the study area. Most of residents (>63%) were satisfied with the quality of drinking water and could not identify any contamination sources. Corresponding to this perception, measured water quality parameters generally met the Drinking Water Quality Standards (>64%). However, approximately 35.6% of samples exceeded the regulation for Nㅒ$_3$$^{-}$$_{-}$N, coliform, and general bacteria. The water quality was significantly different among the three water supply systems, and between the potentially contaminated areas and the rest of the areas (p<0.05). In the potentially contaminated areas, the levels of coliform and general bacteria contamination were significantly higher than the rest of the areas (p<0.05). The coliform and general bacteria values of Simple Piped Water were significantly higher than Own Piped Water's, and the NO$_3$$^{-}$$_{-}$N values of Own Piped Water were significantly higher than those of water's (p<0.05). Based on this study, NO$_3$$^{-}$$_{-}$N, coliform, and general bacteria were identified as a major problem of drinking water. To regularly manage drinking water supply systems, to identify contamination sources, and to add drainage systems are required in the study area.

Factors Influencing on Quality of Life in Aged Women with Chronic Pain (만성통증을 가진 여성노인의 삶의 질 영향 요인)

  • This study was conducted to identify the pain characteristics, family support and physical functioning and to determine predictors of the quality of life in aged women with chronic pain. Method: The questionnaires were collected through direct interview by a trained research assistant from July 2 to August 24, 2001. Subjects were 108 women clients with chronic pain over 65 years of age. Data analyzed frequency, percentage, mean, Pearson's correlation, ANOVA and stepwise multiple regression by SAS. Result: Care providers were mostly spouses and daughters in law. Care providers who took care of elderly for a few hours a day had the highest percentile. Aged women had persistently had chronic pain of moderate intensity and was moderately satisfied with pain management. The mean score of disability due to pain was 3 on a 10 point scale. The mean scores of physical function and quality of life were moderate and there were negative correlations between pain characteristics, physical functioning, and quality of life at the range from r=-.46 to r=-.83. Satisfaction with care, duration of pain, disability due to pain, and physical functioning accounted for 56% of the variance in perceived quality of life for aged women with chronic pain. Disability due to pain was the most predictable variable of quality of life and physical function was the second .Conclusion: The results suggest that care by family, education in pain control, prevention of disability, and maintenance of physical function are important to improve and maintain quality of life in aged women with chronic pain. Therefore, there is a need for program development that enhance family support and nursing intervention that focuses on active pain control.

Standardization of the Construction Process and Development of the Process Management Software for Spatial Database Quality Maintenance (공간데이터베이스 품질유지를 위한 구축 공정 표준화 및 공정관리 소프트웨어 개발)

  • This study is aimed at standardizing the process of spatial database construction and developing a software tool for process management. Knowhow of five GIS firms and provisions of NGI(National Geography Institute) was analyzed. In this study, the process of spatial database construction was standardized. The system from this study has the capability to manage the process of construction database using GIS and to deal with the metadata of unit map, generated from the process, systematically and continuously. The process was also shown by using either Gantt chart or PERT chart after developing an interface for "MS Project". A software "Visual Basic for Application" was used for this study.

  • This paper proposes an opportunistic age replacement policy. The system has two types of failures. Type I failures (minor failures) are removed by minimal repairs, whereas type II failures are removed by replacements. Type I and type II failures are age-dependent. A system is replaced at type II failure (catastrophic failure) or at the opportunity after age T, whichever occurs first. The cost of the minimal repair of the system at age z depends on the random part C(z) and the deterministic part c(z). The opportunity arises according to a Poisson process, independent of failures of the component. The expected cost rate is obtained. The optimal $T^{\ast}$ which would minimize the cost rate is discussed. Various special cases are considered. Finally, a numerical example is given.

  • Sleep disturbances are commonly encountered problems in cancer patients. Sleep has a role in maintenance of immunity, metabolism, and quality of life but little has been known about the prevalence, risk factors, and effects on prognosis of sleep disturbances in patients with cancer. Also little attention has been made on proper assessment and management of sleep disorders in these patients. Recently, there have been some reports that sleep disorders are related with development of many cancers such as breast, colorectal, prostate, and endometrial cancers. An intermittent hypoxia and a disruption of circadian rhythm are considered as one of the possible mechanisms of cancer developments. More aggressive evaluation and meticulous management of sleep disturbances in cancer patients are essential to improve quality of life as well as prognosis.
