Electroplating methods by molten salts and non-aqueous melts were employed for aluminium coating on STS 316L stainless steel. After coated with Ni or non-coated surface on stainless steel, Al pulse plating was carried out in two different types of electrolytes at room temperature. The Al layer from $AlCl_3$-TMPAC melts could not obtain appreciable thickness for engineering application due to chemical reactions between deposits and moisture of air. However, The Al coating by pulse plating in the Ethylbenzene-Toluene-$AlBr_3$ systems was found to be solid coating layer with a few $\mu\textrm{m}$ scale. The conductivity of Ethylbenzene-Toluene-$AlBr_3$ electrolyte was as functions of time and agitation. By seven days exposure after mixing of the electrolyte, Al-deposited layer shows uniform and near by pore-free with high current density (higher than 30mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$). The roughness and imperfection of coating layer were decreased with a increasing agitation speed. It was found that the optimum condition for the Al pulse plating on the 316L stainless steel was a 400mA peak current, duty cycle, $t_{on}$$t_{ off}$=3ms/1ms, and a current density of 30mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

In this paper, we analyze and simulate the performance of RAKE receiver for ultra wide band (UWB) systems in indoor multipath radio channel. Pulse position modulation-time hopping (PPM-TH) signal is considered. And we also consider three types of RAKE receivers, which are ideal RAKE, selective RAKE, and partial RAKE receivers. The indoor channel is modeled as the modified Saleh and Valenzuela (SV) model which has been proposed as a UWB channel model by the IEEE group, IEEE 802.15.SG3a.
With continuous industrial development, the types, and amount of particulate matter (PM) have been increasing. Since 2018, environmental standards regarding PM have become more stringent. Pulse air jet bag filters are suitable for PM under the 20 ㎛ and, can function regardless of size, concentration and type. Filtration velocity and shape are important factors in the operation and design of the pulse air jet bag filters however, few established studies support this theory. In this research, numerical simulations were conducted based on experimental values and, several methods were employed for minimizing the pressure drop. In the pilot system, as the inlet duct velocity was faster than 19 m/sec, flow was not distributed equally and, re-entrainment occurred due to the hopper directional vortex. The multi-inlet system decelerated the hopper directional vortex by 25 ~ 30%, thereby decreasing total pressure drop by 6.6 ~ 14.7%. The guide vane system blocked the hopper directional vortex, which resulted optimal vane angle of 53°. The total pressure of the guide vane system increased by 0.5 ~ 3% at 1.5 m/min conditions. However, the filtration pressure drop decreased by 4.8 ~ 12.3% in all conditions, thereby reducing the operating cost of filter bags.

Increasing demands on precision machining have necessitated the tool to move not only position error as small as possible, but also with smoothly varying feedrates. Because of the lack of accurate and efficient algorithms for generation of 3-dimensional lines and circles, a full accomlishment for available machine tool resolution is generally unavailable. In this paper, a reference-pulse type 3-axis PC_NC milling system is developed for the precision machining of complex shapes in 3-dimensional space. Three AC servomotors are used as the actuator instead of the hand wheel to operate a 3-axis milling machine under the same mechanical structure. A PC is used to handle the control signal calculation for various types of motion command. To achieve the synchronous 3-axis motion, a real-time reference-pulse 3-dimensional linear and circular interpolator based on the intersection criteria is developed in software. The performance test via computer simulation and actual machining have shown that the PC-NC milling system is useful for the machining of arbitrary lines and circles in 3-dimensional space.
Radar signal analysis of electronic warfare is a technique for identifying a radar type by signal parameters(direction, radion frequency, pulse repetition interval, pulse width, scan period..) extracted from a received radar pulse. However as the modern radar and new threat environments is advanced, radar identification ambiguity arises in the process of identifying the types of radars. In this paper, we analyze the problems of the existing method and propose a new method. This technique determines the validity of the scan period by the difference in the arrival time of the radar pulse and the minimum number of scan period discrimination. Experiments proved that the scan cycle results are derived regardless of the RMS((Root Mean Square) of the input amplitude.

Laser welding is usually a more effective method than electron-beam one since a vacuum chamber is not required. It is important for joining Zr-1%Nb (E110) alloy in a manufacturing process of nuclear fuel rods. In the present work, effect of energy parameters of pulsed laser welding on properties of butt joints of sheets with a thickness of 0.5 mm is investigated. The most efficient combination has been found (8-11 J pulse energy, 10-14 ms pulse duration, 780-810 W peak pulse power, 3 Hz pulse frequency, 1.12 mm/s welding speed). The results show that ultimate strength under static loading can not be used as a quality criterion for zirconium alloys welds. Increased shielding gas flow rate does not allow to protect weld metal totally and contributes to defect formation without using special nozzles. Several types of imperfections of the welds have been found, but the major problem is branching microcracks on the surface of the welds. It is difficult to identify the cause of their appearance without additional research on improving the welding zone protection (gas composition and flow rate as well as nozzle configuration) and studying the hydrogen content in the welds.
In pulse diagnosis, the indentation pressure is one of the most important factors as well as the change of pulse shape and the distribution of pressure via time. But, on the oriental medical doctor's indentation pressure control, the understandings of the neurophysiological meanings and mechanisms have been lacked. So, in this paper, we considered on these issues and then proposed a proper system which can imitate the OMD's indentation pressure control mechanisms. As a result, both tactile information and kinesthetic information were found to be essential to the indentation pressure control so that a system, which can measure both the physical indent pressure and the displacement of an indentation arm, has been proposed. With this proposed system, while the indentation was being controlled through the moving step number of the step motor, the physical indentation pres sure and displacement of the indentation arm were measured. From these measured data, the relationships between the moving step number and both physical indentation pressure and displacement were revealed to have linear characteristics in early phase and to have nonlinear characteristics in latter phase. Additionally, three types of graph were generated whose X axis means the moving step number, the physical indentation pressure and the displacement respectively and Y axis means the pulse pressure. By comparing these graphs, we come to conclude that different concepts on indentation pressure control cause different diagnostic results on floating/sinking degrees for the same subject. Consequently, an indentation system for the pulse diagnosis should be able to provide both the tactile information and kinesthetic information, that is, the physical indentation pressure and the displacement of the indentation arm. In future, the proposed system should be optimized to the pulse diagnosis environment and how to combine the both information for more reliable diagnosis should be studied.
1. Objectives To evaluate effects of bee venom acupuncture on cardiovascular system and differences according to each constitution. 2. Methods Heart rate variability, pulse wave and the velocity of cerebral blood flow were measured before bee venom acupuncture(BVA), right after and after 30 minuets, had been applied to 20 subjects. 3. Results 1. BVA did not have effects on measurement variables of heart rate variability. 2. BVA had effects on pulse wave, showing total time, radial augmentation index up and height of percussion wave, time to percussion wave, sum of pulse pressure down. 3. BVA did not have effects on the cerebral blood flow velocity when considering not Sasang Constitution. 4. Considering Sasang Constitution, BVA demonstrates different responses in time to preincisura wave, mean blood flow velocity, peak systolic velocity and end diastolic velocity. 4.Conclusion From those results, the following conclusions are obtained. Cause BVA alters pulse wave and makes differences in the cerebral blood flow velocity according to Sasang Constitution. Various methods of BVA treatment are needed considering Sasang Constitution.
In order to improve the thermal efficiency of an internal combustion engine, various ignition timing control systems were examined and the best one was chosen. The parts used for the systems were a microcomputer system with DAS, 8 bit output port (D-FLIP FLOP), three types of isolation circuit, two types of ignition timing pulse generator, three types of switching circuit and two types of high voltage ignition circuit. Most systems did not operate well due to the effects of electromagnetic waves and surge currents occurring when the ignition began or ended with resulting high voltage. The best ignition timing control system was found to be the combination of (microcomputer system)-(ignition timing pulse generator using step motor position control pick-up)-(switching circuit using TR logic)-(high voltage ignition circuit using CDI).

To develop the comfortable pesticid-proof clothes, wearing trials for 7 types of existing pesticide-proof clothes were done measuring skin temperature, pulse rate, humidity and temperature of inside clothing and subjective feeling such as thermal, humid and comfort sensations at $28{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, $75{\pm}5\%$ RH, 2.3 m/sec wind speed. (Experiment 1). On the base of above results, wearing trials of 6 types of new pesticide-proof clothes and 3 types of pesticide-proof clothes as control group were done with the same method as experiment 1. (Experiment 2). The results obtained were as follows 1. Heat stress was lower in newly designed pesticide-proof clothes with mesh running shirts. 2. For the body temperature regulation, it was confirmed that 6 types of new pesticide-proof clothes made of microporous fabric were better than the others.
