Remote control of Drum/Chute mechanism in a concrete mixer-truck (콘크리트 믹서 트럭에서의 드럼 및 슈트의 원격 제어)

  • A remote control system was developed in order to operate by push-buttons the conventional drum and chute components, which have been operated manually, in a concrete mixer-truck. As actuators, a hydraulic power unit was used for chute operations: two DC motors for drum operations. The devised drum controller consisted of three electric circuits : an analog proportional-integral control circuit, a drum acceleration circuit, and an emergency stop circuit. The remote control system was installed to be tested experimentally and then was evaluated to work successfully with a desirable accuracy.

Hydraulically Actuated of Half Car Active Suspension System

  • The studies of the half active suspension have been performed using various suspension models. In the early days, the modeling considered the inputs to the active suspension as the linear forces. Recently, due to the development of new control theory, the forces input to the half car active suspension system has been replaced by an actual input to the hydraulic actuators. Therefore, the dynamic of the active suspension system now consists of the dynamic of half car suspension system plus the dynamic of the hydraulic actuators. This paper proposed a new modeling technique in integrating both dynamic models. The proportional integral sliding mode control technique is utilized to control the hydraulically actuated of the half car active suspension system. The performance of the half car hydraulically actuated active suspension system is simulated with a bump input. The results show that the proposed modeling technique and the proportional integral sliding mode controller are improved the ride comfort and ride handling of the half car active suspension system.

  • The Helicopter Simulator System is non-linear and complex. Futhermore, because of absence of its accurate mathematical model, it is difficult to control accurately its attitudes such as elevation angle and azimuth one. Therefore, we proposed a Hybrid GA-PID WAVENET(Genetic Algorithm Proportional Integral Derivative Wavelet Neural Network)control technique to control efficiently these angles. The proposed Hybrid GA-PID WAVENET is made through the following process. First, the WAVENET fundamental functions are defined. And their dilation and translation values are adjusted by GA to construct the optimal WAVENET controller. Secondly, the proportional, integral, and derivative gain coefficients of PR controller are tuned optimally. Finally, WAVENET controller which has a good transient characteristic and GA-PE controller which has a good steady state characteristic is adequately combined in hybrid type. Through the computer simulations, it is proved that the Hybrid GA-PE WAVENET control technique has a more excellent dynamic response than PID control technique and GA-PID one.

  • A control system design with Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM) is proven that effective for SISO control design. But the control system design for MIMO via CDM is not concrete procedure. In this paper presents the control system design method for quadruple-tank process via CDM. By using the decentralized method for both non-minimum phase and minimum phase are made. The results from Integral-Proportional (I-P) controller’s design via CDM and standard Proportional-Integral (PI) controls are also shown to compare the merits of the proposed controllers.

  • Proportional directional control valves (PDCVl adjust the amount of flow as well as flow direction in response to an electrical signal. This valves includes direct operated valves with or without spool position feedback. This paper investigates if it is possible to control pressure of fluids by means of the PDCV. A pressure signal is feed back to the Proportional-Integral (PI) controller, which is based upon a personal computer (PC). The PI control algorithm is implemented in a graphical programming language of LabVIEW. The results of experiments show the PDCV can be used a multi function valve of pressure control as well as direction control.

  • This research studied 6-Axes Articulated Robot Manipulator's gain Tuning in consideration of dynamic. First of all, search fur proportional gain of velocity control loop by dynamic signal analyzer. Proportional gain of velocity control loop is connected to dynamic signal analyzer. Next Select free Proportional Gain value. And Select amplitude X of sinusoidal properly so that enough Velocity Feedback Signal may be paid as there is no group to utensil department. Next step, We can get Bode Diagram of Closed loop transfer function response examination in interested frequency. Integral calculus for gain of velocity loop is depended on integral calculus correction's number. We can obtain open loop transfer function by integrator. And we can know bode diagram's special quality from calculated open loop transfer function. With this, Velocity Control Loop's Parameter as inner loop is controlled. Next In moving, when vibration occurs, it controls notch filter. And finally, we have to control fred-forward filter parameter for elevation of control performance.

  • This paper is on speed control of induction motor using space vector PWM. Indirect vector control which controls independantly flux and torque current component in order to drive induction motor, is applied for driving motor. Voltage sourced inverter with space vector PWM is used to generate the practically perfect sinusoidal flux density in induction motor. The appropriateness of speed control is proven by appling IP(Integral-proportional) controller which is known to have a good speed response and still to have less overshoot than the now used PI(Proportional-Integral) controller.

  • This paper deals with an investigation and evaluation of the performance of a state observer based Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drive controlled by PI (Proportional Integral), PID (Proportional Integral and Derivative), SMC (sliding mode control), ANN (Artificial neural network) and FLC (Fuzzy logic) speed controllers. A detailed study of the steady state and dynamic performance of estimated speed and angle is given to demonstrate the capability of the controllers.

  • This paper presents new speed control strategy for periodic load torque injected in AC motor. If motor drive system has a periodic load torque, it causes a periodic motor speed ripple bringing about vibrations and noises. This paper proposed new control method consisting of PIR(proportional-integral-resonant) controller and repetitive controller. PIR controller controls DC, low frequency and fundamental components and repetitive controller controls other harmonics. The performance has been verified through computer simulations using MATLAB Simulink and experiments.

On the Application af Robust Multivariable Controller to Distillation Column (증류탑 제어에 있어서 로바스트 다변수 제어 응용에 관한 연구)

  • Distillation columns are widely used in almost every chemical plant. The use of multivariable control for such units is attractive because of the strong interactions exhibited between outputs and inputs and the desire to control simultaneously both top and bottom products. In this research design of a robust multivariable controller for distillation column was considered; output feedback controller with proportional and integral modes was designed using pole assignment. The transfer function matrix was obtained by fitting the step response realtions between single input double output pairs of variables. This matrix was then converted to linear time invariant state space model by multivariable realization technique. With the proposed multivariable proportional and integral controller applied to the process, the result of the digital computer simulation showed a good performance of asymtotic tracking. The limited experimental performance of this multivariable control was compared with the result from simulation. It was found that the proposed controller performed satisfactorily for the distillation column which separated binary mixture of methanol and water.
