This paper presents a new integer formulation (Type III ALB) for a single model assembly line balancing problem. The objective of the formulation is to minimize the total idle time, which is defined as the product of the number of work stations and the cycle times minus the total work content. This formulation considers currently existing Type I (minimizing the number of work stations for a given cycle time) and type II (minimizing the cycle time for a given number of work stations) formulations as its special cases and provides the global minimum solutions of the cycle time and the number of work stations. This information would be of great value to line designers involved in designing new assembly lines and rebalancing old lines under flexible conditions. Solution methods based on combination of Type I and Type II approaches are also suggested and compared.

Consider a gradient Einstein-type metric in the setting of K-contact manifolds and (κ, µ)-contact manifolds. First, it is proved that, if a complete K-contact manifold admits a gradient Einstein-type metric, then M is compact, Einstein, Sasakian and isometric to the unit sphere 𝕊²ⁿ⁺¹. Next, it is proved that, if a non-Sasakian (κ, µ)-contact manifolds admits a gradient Einstein-type metric, then it is flat in dimension 3, and for higher dimension, M is locally isometric to the product of a Euclidean space 𝔼ⁿ⁺¹ and a sphere 𝕊ⁿ(4) of constant curvature +4.

Consider a Sobolev inner product on the space of polynomials such as $$ \phi(p,q) = \lambda p(c)q(c) + <\tau,p'(x)q'(x)> $$ where $\tau$ is a moment functional and c and $\lambda$ are real constants. We investigate properties of orthogonal polynomials relative to $\phi(\cdot,\cdot)$ and give necessary and sufficient conditions under which such Sobolev orthogonal polynomials satisfy a spectral type differential equation with polynomial coefficients.

In this paper, we evaluate first variations, conditional first variations and conditional Fourier-Feynman transforms of cylinder type functions over Wiener paths in abstract Wiener space and then, investigate relationships among first variation, conditional first variation, Fourier-Feynman transform and conditional Fourier-Feynman transform of those functions. Finally, we derive the conditional Fourier-Feynman transform for the product of cylinder type function which defines the functions in a Banach algebra introduced by Yoo, with n linear factors.

We study totally umbilical real half lightlike submanifolds of indefinite Kaehler manifolds with a quarter-symmetric metric connection. We obtain some conditions for a real half lightlike submanifold of an indefinite Kaehler manifold with a quarter-symmetric metric connection to be a product manifold. We derive the expression for induced Ricci type tensor 𝓡^(0,2) and also obtain conditions for 𝓡^(0,2) to be symmetric.

The purpose of this note is to introduce a type of Riemannian manifold called an almost quasi Ricci symmetric manifold and investigate the several properties of such a manifold on which some geometric conditions are imposed. And the existence of such a manifold is ensured by a proper example.

Recently, on account of the lack of skilled labor and the increase of labor costs, it has been more difficult the construction environment. Now new methods were developed and used many places. This study is concerning the structural performance of Composite Form Panel Method-one of the new methods-of the wall type. It is available to make monolithic system of bearing wall and half slab. This paper presented design and product data by experiments.

This paper considers warranty servicing for repairable products when product lifetimes are phase-type(PH) distributions. Two replace-repair strategies are analyzed based on renwal processes. The quantities of interest can be expressed in terms of the renewal function which, in general, is very difficult to evaluate. By exploiting properties of PH distributions we obtain simplification to evaluate these performance measures. Numerical examples for four different PH distributions with typical functions are presented and the results are discussed.

The focus of marketing study on the strategic tools has shifted from traditional 4Ps'(product, price, place and promotion) to macro relationship marketing which places emphasis on interfirm relationships. The purpose of this study is to develope antecedent variables of relationship type which play the most important role of interfirm relationships, and the antecedent variables of relationship structure comprises three factors : 1) transactional relationship structure, 2) hierarchical relationship structure and 3) embedded relationship structure.

We study the existence of nontrivial solutions of the Gradient type Dirichlet boundary value problem for elliptic systems of the form $-{\Delta}U(x)={\nabla}F(x,U(x)),x{\in}{\Omega}$, where ${\Omega}{\subset}R^N(N{\geq}1)$ is a bounded regular domain and U = (u, v) : ${\Omega}{\rightarrow}R^2$. To study the system we use the liking theorem on product space.
