  • A severe strip vibration in continuous galvanizing line facilities of the steel companies has sometimes occurred due to the exceeding wearing of the roll bush and bearing. This vibration brings on the lack of uniform coating thickness in steel plate. As a result, the total maintenance and product costs in this factory are increased by the shortage of operation time for the replacement of bush, bearings and these components. In this study, the vibration characteristics of this strip are investigated by the FEM using ANSYS. Also the vibration measurement of strip and its structure performed by the laser Doppler vibrometer(LDV) and accelerometers are compared to theoretical analysis results.

  • Oil ring and sound proof rubbers are very much important because the cause of oil leakage are mostly occupied by these rubbers. So good oil rings are the necessary parts of autolife expansion. The expensive selection system keeps from factory automation and most works are established manually. These study has been the basis of test equipments automatically in rubber products and DCT algorithm has been applied and the selection system is made efficiently differentiating good or poor.

  • In building a shell-based FMS, which is known as one of the top-down approaches in the field of factory automation, we may take a hybrid simulation into consideration. The modeling of a hybrid simulation consists of real physical entities, virtual simulation, and central clock algorithm, etc. to carry out the whole system operation. In this paper, we sow a way to construct a hybrid simulation software system in manufacturing environments. We bring in the object-oriented methodology in system design and it can contribute in dealing with a wide variety of production types and configurations. Some classes such as project, product, process, order, schedule, stage are defined. These are used and tested by implementing a specific LSI circuit assembly line process.

  • Companies' efforts to find ways to reduce logistics costs for products and raw materials currently being brought in to produce products in all manufacturing processes are one of the biggest challenges, and the recent global recession has made logistics management even more important. This development technology limits the development of IN/OUT Bound truck logistics and dock management optimization system in the factory, especially by using UHF 900Mhz RFID radio frequency technology.

  • This study proposes a systems engineering approach for the development of an advanced planning & scheduling (APS) system for a cosmetic case manufacturing factory. The APS system makes production plans and schedules based on the injection process, which consists of 27 plastic injection machines in parallel to control recommended inventory of products. The system uses machine operation/failure information and defective product/work-in-process tracking information to support intelligent scheduling. Furthermore, a genetic algorithm model is applied to handle the complexity of heuristic rules and machine/quality constraints in this process. As a result of the development, the recommended inventory compliance rate is improved by scheduling the 30-day production plan for 15 main products.

  • In this Paper, we have Improved the Manufacturing Process of Liquid Aluminum Sulfate using the Design of Automated Measurement Systems. The Manufacturing Process of Liquid Aluminum Sulfate uses a Large Weight. The Quality of a Product Depends Highly on the Proportion of the Raw Material Input in the Production Process. Therefore, it is Very Important to Accurately Measure the Amount of Raw Material. For Automation Design, Load Cell Sensor which can Measure Large Weight Accurately and PLC Technology which is most used in Automation Process are Applied. The Content of Aluminum Oxide in the Aluminum Sulfate Produced before the Automation Design Varies from 8.023% to 8.250%. However, after Automation Design, the Amount of Change from 8.09% to 8.19% was Greatly Reduced. As a Result, we could Reduce the Quality Defect rate Due to Weighing Errors and Reduce Safety Accidents by Applying Automation System.

System Development of Precision Vision Measurement Using Fuzzy C-Means Algorithm (Fuzzy C-Means를 이용한 정밀 영상측정 시스템 개발)

  • The measuring systems of auto-parts are most of greater part very expensive. This paper tries to study to make a low-cost measuring equipment there's several kinds of parts in automobile. In this study, we take aircon-switch called magnet coil-housing as the object of measurements. The measurements of this product is currently in difficult situations at factory. In the case of the mesuring objects being big sizes and camera sensor having under 410000 pixels, the key point is the number of pixels not to be changed whenever the same object is measured under the same position. We modified and used fuzzy c-means algorithm to get mostly without the change of the numbers of pixels exactly. Also, the standardized ruler is necessary to measure the length of the object but it is not easy to get the precised ruler. Therefore, the standard length has been taken as the mean value of the pixels in the previous passed objects manually obtained at factory. The results are displayed on monitor and transferred these signals to the microprocessor through RSC-232 port to determine a good or bad of products.

  • Recently, work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) become a hot issue in the industrial fields. To prevent the potential risk of workers, various approaches have been adopted. One of the approaches is to improve the design of product, that of jig (or fixture) and that of workstation in the early stage of the development. 3D simulation technology is known as the powerful method for detecting such problems before constructing the workstation, because it is possible to evaluate the posture of worker using 3D models in a cyber space. It enables to find the unexpected problems and save the time and cost for redesign and rework. This paper introduces a 3D simulation case study of workers in an excavator factory. 3D models of products, jigs were developed with CATIA. The assembly processes were animated in IGRIP and DPM. Finally the various postures of worker were simulated using Human. As a result, some postures were analysed as the risky jobs and the result of simulation was used to improve the system.

Study of Merchandising Process of Fur Clothing (모피의류의 상품화과정에 관한 연구)

  • Fur clothing as fashion items is expanding into casual & ladies's wear market as well as fur market. The interest of fur fashion is rising. So this study compares and analyzes the merchandising process of textile clothing also it of fur clothing by merchandising steps. Fur clothing has so many change factors at time of purchase by scarcity of raw material, price fluctuation, exchange rate and others. Therefore it is primarily about securing of raw material. As soon as plan of product is finished, the purchase of fur raw material has to be started while progress of design products for commercializing the fur clothing. The design of fur clothing is consist of material design, color design and shape design. And It makes a new trend & market as we are developing new & various treatments. The some of imported materials are transferred to the factory for being treated first dressing, fabric treatments and dyeing processing according to the design. The first treated materials are transferred to the sewing factory again for secondary treatments and finally inspected and shipped. During secondary treatments the fur has gone through various manufacturing process for using like fabric materials and it takes long time because almost work is running manually. Unlike fabric clothing, fur clothing's manufacturing method is complicated and various from material process to shape process as per feature. Therefore the merchandising with fur cannot make mass production also needs detail craftsmanship depending by expert's skills. On this wise the fur clothing takes long time to the completion thus it has been risky and costly.
