  • The purpose of this study is to build user's psychological response process model on design evaluation. Users firstly evaluate design factors such as form, structure, texture and colors which are basic elements of product design. These factors, however are affected by product's situational factors, user's individual factors and environmental factors. That is, even same design can be evaluated differently by users according to product's situational factors such as price level, brand prestige level and marketing programs, and user's individual factors such as tastes, involvement level, personality, lifestyles and demographics, and environmental factors such as culture, sub-culture, social class, reference group and family and so on. Understanding how users evaluate product design is necessary to increase the possibility to create user-preferring design and also is the starting point of user-based design and design marketing. In the future researches, it is necessary to examine more factors which are not included in the study and to find out the relationship between factors affecting user's evaluation on design and user's psychological response.

  • The purpose of this study was to decipher the BRQ (Brand Relationship Quality) Construct of fashion product consumers and to identify influencing variables. Consumption values of consumers, fashion product attributes and marketing communication instruments were investigated as affecting variables. A questionnaire was distributed to 350 women between the age of 20 and 50 living in Seoul and other metropolitan areas from Mar. 5 to Mar. 18, 2008. Collected data were analyzed by factor analysis, reliability, multiple regression, frequency and percentage using SPSS (Version 15,0) statistical Package. The results were as follows: Firstly, the BRQ Construct of fashion product consumers was proved to be composed of five factors; 'self-connective love', 'pursuing symbol', 'trust', 'intimacy', and 'knowledge'. Secondly, consumption values had a significant effect on the BRQ Construct and their explanatory power was 32%, 'Epistemic value' was the most significant variable affecting BRQ. 'Functional value' had a significant influence on some BRQ factors. Thirdly, explanatory power of fashion product attributes affecting BRQ was 45%. 'Aesthetic attribute' had significant effect on all BRQ factors, while 'functional attribute' showed significant effect on only 'pursuing symbol', 'trust', and 'intimacy'. Finally, marketing communication mixes showed 21% explanatory power and 'word of mouth' and 'display' among marketing communication mixes were found as the most influential variables affecting the BRQ Construct.

  • The purpose of this research was to test the effects of entrepreneurship and technological innovation capability on new product performance in SMEs and the moderating role of absorption capability. For this study, Research data were collected through questionnaire instruments from the sample of 374 employees in 18 SMEs of metropolitan area. The 336 sample was selected and analyzed by hierarchical regression technique. The results showed that entrepreneurship and technological innovation capability had a positive effect on new product performance. And also found out absorption capability had the moderate roles between all the three factors of technological innovation capability factors and new product performance, but not between all the three factors of entrepreneurship and new product performance. With the research results, the implications for technical management of SMEs were discussed, and the directions for future research were suggested.

For this purpose, the first, the classification of Internet shopping malls and product information and purchasing factors were determined through previous studies, the second, by constructing a questionnaire based on this, verify the validity of each factor and, the finally, the biggest influence what information was performed to examine. What consumers really wants the information, what information to make purchases, the Internet shopping site will be to assist in the design. The results using the Internet shopping site that users reviews, site reliability, Information Architecture, reserve, 3D images and product images available, has been identified as factors affecting the use of reviews and product images available on the factors affecting the revealed. In the site design layout, color systems, text and many design factors are important, but will have to be designed to be purchased by providing sufficient information for the product.

  • The purpose of this study is to present the factors that affect business model and product innovation on the enterprise performance of the mobile ecosystem, and to confirm the results of whether they have an effect. To this end, through prior research, business model factors and product innovation factors were defined in the mobile ecosystem that was the mother of the 4th industry, and a hypothesis that each factor will affect corporate performance was established. Through the exploratory surveys and interviews, the value proposition of the business model proved to have a positive (+) effect on the financial and non-disaster performance of the company, and the innovation was proved to have a positive (+) effect on the non-financial performance of the company. It was analyzed that the price competitiveness of product innovation had a positive (+) effect on the financial factors of a company, and the initial market entry had a positive (+) effect on the non-financial factors. With this study, we propose the criteria for reviewing the performance of companies that are rapidly competing in the 4th industrial revolution in terms of business model and product innovation.

  • The purpose of research is identifying visual factors affecting purchase of convenient store packed-meals through mobile applications. Previous studies have not covered mobile applications on purchase of convenient store packed-meals and this inspired the research topic. Document analysis and online survey are mainly implemented and 4 visual factors; typography, product image, main color, brand logo have been set as a research variables. It is revealed that consumers recognize product image prior to the rest and their purchase intentions are most significantly affected by product image. In conclusion, the product image should encourage consumers to have expectation on packed-meal and need to deliver credibility at the same time. Hence, the application should be designed to solely spotlight product image to lead consumer's concentration on it. The research can be further expanded by including non-visual factors as its variables or increasing scale of survey samples.

  • The primary research objects of this study is to evaluate an importance of supplier selection factors as an index according the level of product standardization and to present the evaluation model for supplier selection. For this purpose, this study adopts the AHP method to calculate the importance of supplier selection factors. In this study 16 factors which affect on the supplier selection decision making are classified into three factors-product supply related factor, product related factor, management ability related factor. Results also indicate that standardized products are much more dealt by means of on-line compare to customized products. It means the buyer opportunities is potentially an increase in the amount of current supplier re-evaluation, which may lead to new suppliers being considered more often.

  • In the assembly system, a pallet plays an important role of transfer and storage. As products become various, many different pallets are also necessary. Since some of them are redundant, a design of pallet with high flexibility is important. This paper suggests design alternatives, in designing pallets with high flexibility. The purpose of this study is to rationalize assembly process of mid-small size products. Every pallet has suitability values depending on characteristic factors of a product, and this value is determined by using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) technique. As the characteristic factors of a product are changed, the suitability value is also changed. Design alternatives can be found by tracing change of the suitability value, which are based on correlation between the characteristic factors of a product and a pallet element.
