대학생의 커뮤니케이션 능력과 공감능력이 스트레스 대처행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Communication Competence and Empathy on Stress Coping in College Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 커뮤니케이션 능력, 공감능력이 스트레스 대처행동에 미치는가를 밝혀내는데 있다. 대학생 292명을 대상으로 설문조사가 이루어졌으며 상관관계분석과 다변인 회귀분석으로 연구문제를 검증하였다. 분석결과를 정리해 보면 첫째, 커뮤니케이션 능력이 높은 대학생일수록 스트레스 상황에서 문제중심적 대처, 사회적 지지 추구 대처, 자기위로능력 대처를 많이 하는 반면 감정적 대처, 회피적 대처를 적게 하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 커뮤니케이션 능력 중 행동적 융통성은 문제중심적 대처와 감정적 대처에, 협력/지지는 사회적 지지 추구 대처에, 상호작용관리는 자기위로능력 대처와 회피적 대처에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 공감능력이 높은 대학생일수록 스트레스 상황에서 문제중심적 대처, 사회적 지지 추구 대처, 자기위로능력 대처를 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 공감능력 중 역할수용은 문제중심적 대처, 자기위로능력 대처에, 감정파악은 회피적 대처에, 감정공명은 감정적 대처에, 진정성은 사회적 지지 추구 대처에 가장 큰 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

직무스트레스, 대처방식, 사회적 지지가 보육교사의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Job Stress, Coping Style, and Social Support on Quality of Life Among Child Care Teachers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine how job stress, coping style, and social support were associated with quality of life among child care teachers. Methods: The participants were comprised of 281 child care teachers in the metropolitan area of Seoul. Job stress, problem-focused coping style, social support, and quality of life were assessed by a teacher-reported questionnaire. Results: Correlation and regression analyses revealed that while job stress predicted lower quality of life, having problem-focused coping style and family support enhanced quality of life among child care teachers. Furthermore, results showed significant moderation effects of support from directors at child care centers on the relationship between job stress and quality of life among child care teachers. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest the important role of problem-focused coping styles and family support in enhancing quality of life. Moreover, support from directors at child care centers appeared to buffer the effects of job stress on quality of life among child care teachers. Results were discussed in terms of their implications for educational and counseling programs for child care teachers.

초등 영재학생과 일반학생의 학업스트레스에 대한 학업적 자기효능감과 스트레스 대처방식의 상호작용효과 (The Interaction Effects on Academic stress of Gifted Student and Normal Student by Academic Self-efficacy and Stress Coping Styles)

  • 본 연구는 초등 영재학생과 일반학생의 학업스트레스에 미치는 자기효능감과 스트레스 대처방식의 상호작용 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 6학년 영재학생 100명과 일반학생 100명을 대상으로 연구한 결과, 영재학생이 일반학생보다 문제중심 대처방식을 많이 사용하였으나, 학업스트레스, 학업적 자기효능감 및 정서중심 대처방식에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 영재학생과 일반학생의 학업스트레스는 학업적 자기효능감이 높을수록, 문제중심 대처방식을 많이 사용할수록 감소되었으며, 학업적 자기효능감과 문제중심 대처방식의 상호작용에 영향을 받았다. 상호작용효과를 살펴보면, 영재학생의 학업적 자기효능감이 학업스트레스를 감소시키는 효과는 문제중심 대처방식의 수준이 높을수록 커졌으며, 일반학생은 문제중심 대처방식의 수준이 높을 때에만 학업적 자기효능감이 유의하게 학업스트레스를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다.

일 간호대학생의 스트레스, 우울, 대처방법과 임상실습 만족도 (Stress, Depression, Coping Styles and Satisfaction of Clinical Practice in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among stress, depression, coping styles and satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students. Method: Two hundred fifty-eight nursing college students in 1 city were selected by convenient sample. A questionnaire measured the level of stress, depression, coping styles and satisfaction of clinical practice. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Result: The mean score of stress was 2.82 (${\pm}.39$), depression was 19.23 (${\pm}7.70$), coping styles was 2.42 (${\pm}.42$), and satisfaction of clinical practice was 2.81 (${\pm}.41$). There were significant differences on four variables according to the satisfaction of a nursing major. Stress had a significant positive correlation with depression, and a negative correlation with problem focused coping and satisfaction of clinical practice. Depression had a significant negative correlation with satisfaction of clinical practice. Emotional focused coping had a significant positive correlation with depression, and problem focused coping had a significant negative correlation with depression. Conclusion: From the studies reviewed, one can expect a positive effect on decreasing stress and depression among nursing students when the nursing educators use counseling and instruction for clinical practice.

사회적 지지, 스트레스 대처방식이 보육교사의 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향: 직장보육시설을 중심으로 (Effects of Social Support and Stress Coping Strategies on Teachers' Job Stress in Corporate-Sponsored Child Care Centers)

  • This study explored effects of social support and stress coping strategies on teachers' job stress in corporate-sponsored child care centers. Participants were 191 child care teachers from 19 corporate-sponsored child care centers. Data was analyzed using Pearson's productive correlation and hierarchical multiple regression tests. Important findings were as follows: First, the overload of task was the dominant factor in causing job stress. Secondly, social support correlated negatively with child care teachers' job stress. Thirdly, child care teachers' problem-focused coping strategy was also found to be related to their job stress. Finally, the effect of social support on child care teachers' job stress was partially mediated by their problem-focused coping strategy.

Effectiveness of Reality Therapy Program for Schizophrenic Patients

  • Purpose. The present study aims to verify the effectiveness of the reality therapy for patients with schizophrenia. Methods. It is designed as a quasi-experimental study by which a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest is conducted. The test was conducted with 30 patients with schizophrenia who were hospitalized at a mental hospital in South Korea. Fifteen of the patients participated in the reality therapy program while another 15 in the control group. The effects are measured by marking scores in the areas of the locus of control, self-esteem, and problem-focused stress coping of each participant. Results. The general characteristics and dependent variables related to outcome variables were controlled to be equal between the two groups. It turns out that the internal locus of control, self-esteem, and problem-focused stress coping are statistically significant. Conclusion. Findings show that the reality therapy caused positive changes in terms of the internal locus of control, self-esteem, and problem-focused stress coping of the observed schizophrenic patients.

감정 노동에서 표현 규칙의 공정성에 대한 지각과 문제 중심 스트레스 대처의 조절효과에 관한 연구 (The Moderating Effects of Display Rule Fairness Perception and Problem-Focused Stress Coping on Emotional Labor)

  • The moderators that relieve negative effects of emotional labor have been studied such as job characteristics and situational variables. But as reviewing these studies, they focused on the degree of emotional on certain condition, there's no distinction between that degree and moderating effects. So we should focus on the moderating variables as a organizational involvement. In this study, I hypnotized the mediating effect of job stress between emotional labor and organizational effectiveness. Then I explored moderating role of 'fairness perception of emotional labor' and 'problem-focused stress coping'. This study tested these relationships using data from 166 employees of domestic security service company. From this data, I found that emotional labor increases job stress and job stress fully mediates the relationship between individual attitude(job satisfaction, turnover intention). And one who perceives display rule fairer, feels less job stress than who is not. Lastly, one who copes more problem-focused when he/she experiences job stress, have less negative effect on turnover intention.

간호대학생의 감성지능 수준에 따른 스트레스 정도 및 스트레스 대처방식의 차이 (Differences in Stress and Stress Coping Strategies according to Emotional Intelligence in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify differences in stress levels and stress coping strategies according to the degree of emotional intelligence in nursing students. Method: Study participants included 367 nursing students from three universities in Gyeonggi and Chungnam provinces. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire in December 2012 and subsequently analyzed via the IBM SPSS 20.0 program with descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe tests. Results: The emotional intelligence of nursing students was slightly higher than average. Perceived stress and clinical practice stress among nursing students were high and nursing students used more problem-focused compared to emotion-focused coping strategies. Nursing students who had a higher level of emotional intelligence exhibited lower levels of perceived stress (t=2.26, p=.025) and clinical practice stress (t=9.37, p<.001) and more used problem-focused coping strategies (t=-7.56, p<.001) than those who had a lower level of emotional intelligence. Conclusion: These results suggest that nursing interventions to improve the emotional intelligence of nursing students are necessary to manage stress more effectively.

간호대학 신입생의 행동유형에 따른 스트레스, 스트레스 대처방식 및 대학생활적응과의 관계 (Stress, Stress Coping Methods, and College Adjustment according to Behavioral Styles in Freshman Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe stress levels, stress coping methods, and college adjustment according to behavior styles in freshman nursing students. Methods: Data were collected through a structured questionnaire targeting general characteristics, behavior styles, stress levels, stress coping methods, and college adjustment, and were analyzed with descriptive statistics, ANOVA, t-tests, and Pearson correlation using the SPSS program. Results: Stress was related to perceived physical health status, satisfaction with school life, and behavior style. Problem-focused coping was related to exercise, satisfaction with school life, and behavior style. College adjustment was related to place of residence, personality, perceived physical health status, motivation for entrance, and satisfaction with school life. College adjustment had significant positive correlations with stress and problem-focused coping. The relationship between college adjustment and hopeful-thought coping had a significantly negative correlation. Conclusion: These results suggest that identifying the effects of self-understanding programs on stress management and college adjustment is required.

일개 지역 대학생의 자살생각 경로모형 (Validation of a Path Model on the Suicide Ideation for University Students)

  • Purpose: In this study, the fitness of a path model on suicidal ideation in university students was examined including the relationship of the following stress perception, problem focused coping style, dysfunctional impulsivity, somatization, anger, and depression. Methods: The subjects consisted of 645 university students. Data was collected using questionnaires and analyses was performed using SPSS/WIN 12.0 and LISREL 8.30. Results: According to the modified model, depression was found to have the most significant direct effect on suicidal ideation. Stress perception and problem focused coping style were also found to have a significant direct effect on suicidal ideation. On the other hand the anger, somatization, and dysfunctional impulsivity were found to have a significant indirect effect mediated by depression on suicidal ideation. Conclusion: These results suggest that university students' suicidal ideation can be decreased by managing stress perception, dysfunctional impulsivity, depression, anger, and somatization and increasing problem focused coping style. Based on the outcomes of this study, it is necessary to develop stress management methods and positive coping styles.
