The purpose of this study was to develop fashion designs using masks on the basis of plasticity of masks. This study was conducted both theoretically and empirically. In a theoretical study, mask-related research and fashion-related literature were examined. In an empirical study, masks used in collections since the 1990's were analyzed through fashion magazines and fashion web sites. Based on such theoretical researches, masks used in modern fashion collections were divided into accessories and clothing to analyze and three fashion designs were developed on the basis of results described above. This study intended to express a romantic look with primitive mood that added formative elements of a mask to the design concept of "Romantic-Primitive". First, forms of masks were simplified and deconstructed and then some methods such as textile printing, leather handicraft, or applique were expressed.

GF(2m) 이론은 switching 이론과 컴퓨터 연산, 오류 정정 부호(error correcting codes), 암호학(cryptography) 등에 대한 폭넓은 응용 때문에 주목을 받아 왔다. 특히 유한체에서의 이산 대수(discrete logarithm)는 one-way 함수의 대표적인 예로서 Massey-Omura Scheme을 비롯한 여러 암호에서 사용하고 있다. 이러한 암호 system에서는 암호화 시간을 동일하게 두면 고속 연산은 유한체의 크기를 크게 할 수 있어 비도(crypto-degree)를 향상시킨다. 따라서 고속 연산의 필요성이 요구된다. 1981년 Massey와 Omura가 정규기저(normal basis)를 이용한 고속 연산 방법을 제시한 이래 Wang, Troung 둥 여러 사람이 이 방법의 구현(implementation) 및 곱셈기(Multiplier)의 설계에 힘써왔다. 1988년 Itoh와 Tsujii는 국제 정보 학회에서 유한체의 역원을 구하는 획기적인 방법을 제시했다. 1987년에 H, W. Lenstra와 Schoof는 유한체의 임의의 확대체는 원시정규기저(primitive normal basis)를 갖는다는 것을 증명하였다. 1991년 Stepanov와 Shparlinskiy는 유한체에서의 원시원소(primitive element), 정규기저를 찾는 고속 연산 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 이 논문에서는 원시 정규기저를 찾는 Algorithm을 구현(Implementation)하고 이것이 응용되는 문제들에 관해서 연구했다.

The use of primitive cell volume and zero order Laue (ZOLZ) pattern is proposed to identify phase in a complex microstructure. Single convergent beam electron pattern containing higher order Laue zone ring from a nanosized region is sufficient to calculate the primitive cell volume of the phase, while ZOLZ pattern is used to determine the zone axis of the crystal. A computer program is used to screen out possible phases from the value of measured cell volume from convergent beam electron diffraction (CBED) pattern. Indexing of ZOLZ pattern follows in the program to find the zone axis of the identification from a single CBED pattern. An example of the analysis is given from the rapidly solidified $Al-Al_3Ti$ system.

A 66-year-old man presented with typical trigeminal neuralgia (TN). Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) revealed a primitive trigeminal artery (PTA) that came into contact with the trigeminal nerve. Based on MRA, we performed microvascular decompression (MVD). In the operational field, we confirmed the PTA location and performed MVD successfully. Postoperatively, the patient's pain subsided without any complications.

Let the circle act on a compact almost complex manifold M with a non-empty discrete fixed point set. To each fixed point, there are associated non-zero integers called weights. A positive weight w is called primitive if it cannot be written as the sum of positive weights, other than w itself. In this paper, we show that if every weight is primitive, then the Todd genus Todd(M) of M is positive and there are $Todd(M){\cdot}2^n$ fixed points, where dim M = 2n. This generalizes the result for symplectic semi-free actions by Tolman and Weitsman [8], the result for semi-free actions on almost complex manifolds by the author [6], and the result for certain symplectic actions by Godinho [1].

Primitive neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) arising primarily in the lung is an extremely rare and aggressive malignancy with poor chances of patient survival. We present a case of long-term survival by a 29-year-old woman with PNET diagnosed after a hertological and immunohertochemical examination of a biopsy specimen obtained by performing video-assisted thoracic surgery. The patient underwent a left lower lung lobe lobectomy and 6 cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy. The patient has been free of any symptoms of the recurrence of the disease for 6 years after treatment completion.

Let ${\mathcal{G}}$ be an ultragraph and let $C^*({\mathcal{G}})$ be the associated $C^*$-algebra introduced by Tomforde. For any gauge invariant ideal $I_{(H,B)}$ of $C^*({\mathcal{G}})$, we approach the quotient $C^*$-algebra $C^*({\mathcal{G}})/I_{(H,B)}$ by the $C^*$-algebra of finite graphs and prove versions of gauge invariant and Cuntz-Krieger uniqueness theorems for it. We then describe primitive gauge invariant ideals and determine purely infinite ultragraph $C^*$-algebras (in the sense of Kirchberg-Rørdam) via Fell bundles.

Northeast Asia comprises many characteristic cultural areas including China, Mongolia, Korea and Japan. These areas have their own traditional food cultures, and Korea is known as the home of fermented foods in this region. The origin of Northeast Asian fermented foods, cereal alcoholic beverages, fermented vegetables(kimchi), fermented fish and fermented soybean products were investigated in relation to the primitive earthen vessels developed in this region. The geographical and environmental background of the appearance of primitive pottery culture in the Korea Strait region, and its influence on the development of fermentation technology in Northeast Asia were reviewed focusing on Korean dietary culture.

We present a patient with a primitive neuroectodermal tumor arising from the right atrium who experienced multiple syncope episodes daily, which had first appeared 1 month after surgery. The symptoms continued to worsen over the course of chemotherapy, and the autonomic function test (AFT) was performed after the 14th chemotherapy cycle. The AFT revealed orthostatic hypotension and reduced baroreflex-dependent sympathetic reactivity. Physical counterpressure techniques were applied with a visual biofeedback intervention, and were found to be effective in reducing the syncope episodes.

It is proved that there is a one to one correspondence between representations of C^*-ternary ring M and C^*-algebra 𝒜(M). We discuss primitive and modular ideals of a C^*-ternary ring and prove that a closed ideal I is primitive or modular if and only if so is the ideal 𝒜(I) of 𝒜(M). We also show that a closed ideal in M is primitive if and only if it is the kernel of some irreducible representation of M. Lastly, we obtain approximate identity characterization of strongly quasi-central C^*-ternary ring and the ideal structure of the TRO V ⊗^tmin B for a C^*-algebra B.
