This purpose of this study is to develop content that enables repetitive carving practice of the maxillary right central incisor (MRCI) based on augmented reality (AR). For a step-by-step practice of achieving the tooth shape, after creation of the storyboard from the square box shape in step 1 to the completed MRCI block in step 16, three-dimensional (3D) modeling data reflecting the characteristics of the mesial, distal, lingual, and labial surface of the MRCI were generated. An application was built in which 3D modeling data were output on the screen of the learner's mobile device, and image markers suitable for 3D modeling in steps 1 to 16 of the MRCI model were respectively generated. Using this information, the learner could carve a high-quality MRCI by repeatedly performing the tooth shape carving exercises. With AR, we intend to contribute to improved tooth morphology carving skills by linking the theory and practical techniques for a beginners in dentistry.

In the digital era, information is a source of value creation. However, the growing importance of knowledge and information also increases risks and threats. When information is leaked, full recovery is difficult, and additional spreading of risk is high because it is easy to accomplish. Especially personal information is the main target due to its availability. Although individuals normally have to consent to the use of their personal information, they often do not know the use of their information. In such a difficult situation, one must exercise self-determination and privacy. Therefore, the goal of this study is to development a privacy literacy level measurement model for the proper exercise of the right to informational self-determination. It will be presented with the concept of privacy literacy index in order to determine the level of knowledge and understanding and practical application skills for individual. Through the index, we going to enhance the selection ability of information subject, and to promote the judgement and the determination capability for the protection and utilization of personal information.

The purpose of this study is to develop competency model in preparation for training programs for CEO of vocational training institutes in terms of needs assessment. This study collected data from 230 public and designated vocational training institutes including commercial learning facilities and life-long training centers using questionnaire by web mail. The frame of assessing training needs of competency applied to this study was based on the model with three components, namely importance, proficiency and learning desires of job skill and task needed to CEO of vocational training institutes. The methodologies of this study used were survey, FGI and case study. The major results proved that the higher priorities of training needs for vocational training institute CEO competency were as followings: (1) Competency for attaining talent of training teachers (2) Needs assessing competency for labor market change and trainee (3) Problem solving competency (4) Leadership skills and so on.

This study tried to suggest the basic materials that can be efficiently applied in clinical cases by understanding problems through a content analysis of an adult nursing assessment tool and opinion agreement about nurse's practical usage presently used in the hospital. The study was carried out in 36 attached hospitals in nationwide universities from May to December, 1999, the two hundred and twenty five reports were for analysis. The contents of the collected nursing assessment tool were analyzed. It was found that the tool had been used with various names and content and there were instances of partial omission of a number of items, such as documentation and time records. Other results revealed that they mostly had a systematic classification of items, formation of details a form of a check list, and the effect of saving time. In spite of the adult nursing assessment tool, it was suggested that its style be subdivided according to the specialized of a department and that standardized style be amended and supplemented. The respondents also answered that there had to be education about continuous and sufficient health assessment skills on the physical examination record. The most frequently suggested items to be added were: past history, marital status, patient and caregiver's address and telephone number. It was found that a patient's education career, economic status, religion, hygienic practice, sexual life and hobby were the most frequently omitted items on record. The reason given wes because the items were associated with his/her privacy. These results highlight the importance of analyzing the content with an complete data collection, supplying basic content for a more accurate nursing record, computerization, sharing information and standardization of the form.

Competency, a frequently mentioned word in connection to the recent education reform, is often used in discussing a paradigm shift from the education focusing on knowledge to the one emphasizing students' adaptability to the real social life. In order to foster talents equipped with practical knowledge and skills geared to the requirements of the jobs, education at college level also need to be improved by reforming the current curricula. This paper aims to develop better ways for college education based on the scrutiny of the pros and cons of the current curricula of colleges. To this end, it reviews preceeding studies on this subject and examines the applicability of the model of competency-based education. We analyse whether this model can be applied to college education or not. By indicating specific ways to apply the standards of the basic-level job competency developed by Human Resources Development Service of Korea to job training courses, the study also aims to contribute to the improvement of education at college.

As animation industry continues to evolve in China, the demand for excellent manpower is on the increase. However, there is a difficulty in cultivating practical talents because many colleges and universities in China do not have the systematized animation education. This study compares the curriculum for animation major in Korea and China in order to find out the major problems and the improvement plans of animation education in China. It was shown that the curriculum in China mainly consisted of the subjects to learn technical skills and lacked the subjects to enhance students' creativity. Especially, universities in China did not offer the practice environment in which students apply and utilize what they learned. As a result, students had less opportunity to experience creative process of making animation. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to make the balanced basic curriculum, link the practice courses with the creativity courses, develop the specialized learning methods and provide the training opportunities through industry-university cooperation. The results of this study suggest that good quality animation education is an important element for universities and animation industry to continue to prosper together.

There have not been integrated courses for education of C and Java programming languages in most universities. Based on similarities and uniqueness and the previous lecturing of each language, we designed and made an integrated programming course. In this paper, we introduce the web-based contents which make the successful and effective application of the new course. The web-based contents consist of the main page, the course materials, the auxiliary materials, and the bulletin board, and supports a variety of practices with the examples. From the application of the web-based contents to the practical lectures, we notice that understandability, satisfaction, and the programming skills of students significantly increase comparing to that of the previous respective courses.

In this paper, we develop the thinking extension education program for the gifted students of information, and prove the validity and effectiveness of the proposed model by presenting the Tic-tac-toe problem as the practical example of the information-gifted students. This model consists of four phases which has the game tree as data structure and the search of game tree as control structure. And the search of game tree becomes the basis of the thinking extension education program. This model gives the help for students to learn representing the problem as tree structure and solving the problem of tree structure using the search method of game tree. The internal ability of the information-gifted for thinking extension of this education program contains the fluency, perceptiveness, originality, power of concentration, imaginative power, analyzing skills, pattern recognition, space sense, synthesizing, problem-solving.

This case study analyzed the effect of capstone design on students' competence and class satisfaction. Three subjects developed in S university were analyzed, and 92 students participated. Results show that the lesson structure of the capstone design was developed to provide students with problem solving competence and practical business skills through hands-on experience. In addition, the students' competence was enhanced, and their satisfaction in class was very high. Statistical results show that, compared to the existing classes, class satisfaction in capstone design improved significantly. Considering the foregoing results, this study suggested that for the capstone design, the lesson structure and method need to be diversified to provide more opportunities for students to participate and become active. The assessment procedure and method also have to be more objective to lessen subjectivity and to increase class satisfaction in capstone design.

Currently financial support for vocational skills development training is provided based on the NCS standard unit price set according to the NCS occupational classification. Such a standard unit price system has the advantage of reducing administrative burdens required in managing the training levy-grant system. In this paper, it is pointed out that current unit price system may distort the social integration function of vocational training policy as it is based on the tuition fees of training course. As a basis for finding a more appropriate financial support system, we analyzed what factors are influencing the training course fees set by training institutions. As a result, it was confirmed that the monopolistic nature of the training courses or the high level of willingness of pay of training participants influenced the training course fees. Therefore, the necessity of removing the influence of such factors from unit price system was suggested so as that the training policy contributes to the social integration. Furthermore, it is required to establish new support criteria centered on the government's policy judgment if the training costs of all training courses cannot be exactly estimated.
