A Study on the Improvement of Spectrum Utilization Efficiency by Narrowing the Channel Spacing in Domestic FM Broadcasting (국내 FM 방송에서 채널 간격의 축소에 따른 스펙트럼 이용효율의 개선에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the efficiency of spectrum utilization has compared in case of channel spacking 100 KHz and 200 KHz by application of technical specifications of domestic FM broadcasting varing with effective radiated power, terrain irregularity factor and effective height of thrnsmit antenna. The results show that if arranging by 100 KHz channel total number of available channel will increase twice and the efficiency of spectrum unilization will be better 1.36 to 2.0 times than that of 200 KHz channel spacing.

  • To improve the current waveform of diode rectifiers, we propose a new operating principle for the voltage diode rectifiers. In the conventional voltage rectifier circuit, relatively large capacitors are used to boost the output voltage, while the proposed circuit uses smaller ones and a small reactor not to boost the output voltage but improve the input current waveform. A circuit design method is shown and confirmed simulation. It explained that compared conventional SPWM inverter with HPWM(Half Pulse-width modulated)Inverter. Proposed HPWM inverter eliminated dead-time by lowering switching loss and holding over-shooting. Output voltage and current of this paper were applied for real air-conditioner.

  • A new CMOS voltage-bias differential LC voltage-controlled oscillator (LC-VCO) with active source degeneration is proposed. The proposed degeneration technique preserves the quality factor of the LC-tank which leads to improvement in phase noise of VCO oscillators. The proposed VCO shows the high figure of merit (FOM) with large tuning range, low power, and small chip size compared to those of conventional voltage-bias differential LC-VCO. The proposed VCO implemented in 0.18-${\mu}m$ CMOS shows the phase noise of -118 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset oscillating at 5.03 GHz, tuning range of 12%, occupies 0.15 $mm^2$ of chip area while dissipating 1.44 mW from 0.8 V supply.

  • A numerical simulation was performed to investigate the internal flow characteristics in gas turbine nozzle by the variation of flow area of the nozzle. In general the area of turbine nozzle is chosen by the most substantial factor on performance improvement of turbine at the first stage. In the performances test through CFD analysis for three types of nozzle with conventional, enlarged and reduced area, reduced one with effective flow area (EFA) was the most efficient. That is the minimum effective value within EFA limit defined by the manual of technical order had a good performance. It is useful to avoid the low power problem in the test of performance after maintenance and overhaul of turbine engine.

  • The characteristics of fuel spray influence on the engine performances such as power, fuel economy and emissions. therefore, the measurement of fuel spray characteristics is very important for the improvement of heat engine. The factor which controls the fuel spray is injection pressure, ambient pressure, engine speed et al.. In :his study, We measured spray angle, spray penetration and spray tip velocity considering injection pressure(10,14㎫), ambient pressure(3,4,5㎫), fuel pump speed(500,700,900rpm) in the high temperature and pressure chamber. Experimental results are summarized as follows: 1) Injection pressure influence on the characteristics of spray namely As Injection pressure Is increased, spray angle is decreased but spray penetration and spray tip velocity is increased. 2) Spray angle, spray penetration is increased by increasing the fuel pump speed. 3) Ambient pressure plays an important role in spray characteristics.

  • In This Paper, at the PSPICE model is presented by Piezoelectric Transformer and CCFL and equivalent circuit of fluorescent light. Highly effective fluorescent light release for next generation is developed for 35W supremacy model three wave length T5 fluorescent lamps. Lighting a candle experiment of T5 fluorescent lamps is carried out by employing Piezoelectric Transformer power-factor improvement circuit and inverter. PLL method is used for supplying a correct frequency of Piezoelectric Transformer operating.

  • Catalytic combustion known as one of the traditional oxidation methods of VOC gas is restricted to its applicable fields because of its reaction characteristics. But recently innovative improvement of catalytic endurance makes its applicable range broader from MEMs to industrial power generation. Therefore, control technologies based on the catalytic combustion characteristics are researched and developed dynamically. Especially, the stable control of catalytic combustion is an essential factor in a view of maximizing its efficiency. In this research, the fuel equivalence ratio and the preheating temperature of mixture gas is controlled by catalytic combustion system enhanced in heat transfer with high temperature heat exchanger. As a result, the combustion characteristics of system was investigated, and both passive and active control type were compared and analyzed.

  • We propose a new method of generating client models for HMM based text-dependent speaker verification system with only a small amount of training data. To make a client model, statistical methods such as segmental K-means algorithm are widely used, but they do not guarantee the quality or reliability of a model when only limited data are avaliable. In this paper, we propose a blind speech segmentation based on level building DTW algorithm as an alternative method to make a client model with limited data. In addition, considering the fact that voiced sounds have much more speaker-specific information than unvoiced sounds and energy of the former is higher than that of the latter, we also propose a new score evaluation method using the observation probability raised to the power of weighting factor estimated from the normalized log energy. Our experiment shows that the proposed methods are superior to conventional HMM based speaker verification system.

  • PEB system is more economical when compared with structures commonly used Hot rolled and welded light H-beam was introduced in the Standard Livestock Housing. This study suggested more economical technology for structural design by the reduction of live load, relief of deflection limit and reduction of importance factor. And, when applying wind Load as a result of examination with Low Rise Building Systems Manual considering open model, we can know that when the wind load is big, enclosed model is more stable than open model. In short, Suggesting more economical model and providing the method to reduce natural disaster, by the application of PEB system and the development of technology for structural design, are considered to strengthen the competitive power of farmhouse.

  • This paper is studied on the improvement of an efficiency and power factor for the single-phase induction motor with non-symmetrical cores. Since the motor construction having non-symmetrical core has the effect of reluctance torque and the rearrangement of revolving field, if core and winding design were optimized, the simple and economical permanent-capacitor-motor will be design. The most significant design variables are the degree of dissymmetry, the location of windings, and the turn-ratio between the main and auxiliary winding.
