It is well known as the role of ion exchange membrane with functional group in membrane matrix. Recently, we were reported that the charged mosaic membrane within parallel array of negative and positive charge groups. In this study we are reported the properties for the various transport coefficients of metal and heavy metal ions across charged mosaic membrane based on non-equilibrium thermodynamics is not based on equilibrium state.

The methanol and benzene extracts of the leaves of 55 higher plants in Korea were tested for their antibacterial activity against three Gram positive bacteria, Streptococcus mutans, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis, and one Gram negative bacterium Escherichia coli. Among them, the methanol extract of the leaves of Liriodendron tulipifera showed remarkably potent antibacterial activity against both Gram positive and negative bacteria.

This paper addresses a task of opinion extraction from given documents and its positive/negative classification. We propose a sentence classification method using a notion of syntactic piece. Syntactic piece is a minimum unit of structure, and is used as an alternative processing unit of n-gram and whole tree structure. We compute its semantic orientation, and classify opinion sentences into positive or negative. We have conducted an experiment on more than 5000 opinion sentences of multiple domains, and have proven that our approach attains high performance at 91% precision.

The direct impacts of individual materialism on price perceptions and price perceptions on patronage behavior have been limited in previous research. This study examined the impact of materialism on consumer perceptions of clothing price and the influence that price perceptions have on store patronage by consumers. Using factor analysis and stepwise regression analysis, results indicated that materialistic values revealed four factors (pursuit of happiness, acquisition centrality, success, and practical-consuming). Materialistic four values influence consumer attitudes toward the positive and negative roles of price. In turn, patronage is predicted by positive and negative price-perception. Implications and future research directions are also discussed.

An algorithm-based fault tolerant scheme for the vector convolution is proposed employing the positive and negative checksum vectors that are defined in this paper based on the encoder vector. The proposed scheme is implemented on the aray processor, and then the amount of redundancy is examined thrugh the complexity analysis.

Facial expression is innate communication skill of human. Human can recognize theri psychological state by facial parameters which contain surface movement, color, humidity and etc. This study is to quantify or qualify human emotion by measurement of facial electromyography (EMG) and facial movement. The measurement is taken at the facial area of frontalis and zygomaticus The results is indicative to discriminate the positive and negative respond of emotion and to extract the parameter sensitive to positive and negative facial-expression. The facial movement according to EMG shows the possibility of non-invasive technique of human emotion.

In this paper, we have systematically investigated the variation of electrical characteristics with back-gate bias of n-channel SOI MOSFET\\`s. When positive bias is applied back-gate surface is inverted and back channel current is increased. When negative bias is applied back-gate surface is accumulated but it does not affect to the electrical characteristics.

Using the results in the paper [12], we give an estimate for the first positive and negative Dirac eigenvalue on a 7-dimensional Sasakian spin manifold. The limiting case of this estimate can be attained if the manifold under consideration admits a Sasakian Killing spinor. By imposing the eta-Einstein condition on Sasakian manifolds of higher dimensions 2m + 1 ≥ 9, we derive some new Dirac eigenvalue inequalities that improve the recent results in [12, 13].

In this analysis of relationships among parent-child communication style, child's sense of identity, and their effects on child's peer relationships, a survey was conducted of 506 6th grade students in 3 elementary schools of Incheon City. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analyses. Results showed that : girls had higher scores in academic identity and more positive factors in peer relationships than boys; when communications between parents and children were more open, peer relationships were more positive and less negative; children with a stronger sense of identity had more positive factors in peer relationships; social identity was the most influential factor in positive and general identity was the most influential factor in negative peer relationships, respectively.
