The Effect of Korean Adults' Perception of Parent-Child Relation on Self-Efficacy, Child Rearing Practices, Elderly Parent Care Practices, and Happiness (중년 성인 원가족의 부모자녀관계가 자기효능감, 자녀양육과 노부모부양 및 행복에 미치는 영향)

  • The main purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of Korean adults' perception of parent-child relation on their self-efficacy, child rearing practices, elderly parent care practices, and happiness. In this study the parent-child relation is a relationship between the adults' parents and the adults. The participants in the study were adults (2,632; male=1,275, female=1,357) with children in primary, secondary, and/or university, with an average age of 45.44-years-old (male=46.96-years-old, female=44.10-years-old). The results showed a direct influence of the adults' perception of parent-child relation on their self-efficacy and their child rearing practices, and an indirect influence on their happiness. This indicates that a more positive adult's perception of parent-child relation leads to higher self-efficacy and greater devotion to their child rearing practices. And furthermore, an elevated self-efficacy enhanced their happiness. Gender differences were found for the influence of adults' perception of parent-child relation on elderly parent care practices. For Korean male adults, a more positive perception of parent-child relation lead to a more active participation in elderly parent care practices. However, for Korean female adults no direct influence was found. Based on these results, a discussion of the influence of adults' perception of parent-child relation on the adults' psychological characteristics and family-members relationships is provided.

Effects of Emotional Labor of Flight Attendants on Their Organization Commitment: Mediated Effects on Supports from Peers, Families, and Team Leaders (항공승무원의 감정노동이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향: 동료지지, 가족지지, 팀장지지에 대한 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study sought to investigate the relationship between emotional labor and commitment to organization of flight attendants as a way to identify solutions for service quality issues attributed to reduced commitment. It was also intended to determine the relational routes in terms of the effects of social support as a supplementary factor in reduced air service quality. A survey was conducted from January 2020 for about one month and a total of 426 copies were used in the final analysis. SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 23.0 statistical programs were used for the data analysis. The results are as follows. First, the emotional labor of flight attendants showed a negative impact on the social support including support from peers, families, and team leaders. Second, support from peers and team leaders had a positive impact on commitment to organization. Third, the emotional labor of flight attendants showed a negative impact on their commitment to organization. Fourth, support from peers and team leaders were found to have a mediated effect on the relationship between emotional labor and commitment to organization.

A Study on the Factors Affecting on Worker's Quality of Life (근로자의 삶의 질 영향요인 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm the effect of the marital satisfaction, depression, and self-esteem on the quality of life. 131 workers in K area were used for the final analysis. The data collection was conducted from March 15nd, 2017 to April 10th, 2017. The quality of life was measured by means of Korean version of life scale abbreviated version, WHOQOL-BREF. Descriptive statics, t-test, two-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and step wise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 18.0 were used to analyze the data. As a result of study, it was confirmed that regular workers were higher than irregular workers in the quality of life, marital satisfaction, depression, and self-esteem all. The quality of life was explained by the martial satisfaction, depression, averagely monthly pay, and spouse relationship as 34.3%. It is necessary to essentially implement the government's support and the corporate cooperation for the improvement of working condition in order to enhance the life quality of workers. Also, workers need to give value to themselves leading their life and form a positive relationship with people around them not to let their family life be negatively affected due to the employment stress.

The Relationship between Attachment to Parents and Adaptation to School Life of Children (아동의 부모에 대한 애착과 학교생활적응과의 관계)

  • Social area of children moves to school from family. Attachment to parents of children influences Adaptation of new environment. Development and adaptation of whole life are based on attachment that was formed the early days period of life. This study aims at finding out how are the factors like Relationship between Attachment to parents and Adaptation to school life of children. The targets of the study are 260 kids of the 1st grade and the 2nd grade that are collected at primary school of K city in Jeonlabuk-Do. As for measurement tool that was used for this study, it used the questionnaire for parents Attachment which OK Jeong(1997) adopted from IPPA-R that was manufactured by Armsden & Greenberg(1987), and the questionnaire on adaptation to the school life made by Byung soo, Min(1991), and it found means(M), standard deviation(SD) as for the collected data, and it practiced three way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and Multiple regression. The result of this study was as follows. First, the girls were more attached to father than Boys. According to the contents, alienation to father of boys is higher than that of girls. Also, grade of children and employment or unemployment of mothers factors mutuality effect had significant differences in the area of alienation. Second, the children's attachment to mother that the Kids perceived in total has significant differences statistically according to gender of children and employment or unemployment of mothers factors mutuality effect. Boys of unemployment of mothers and girls of employment of mothers are more attached to mother. Third, the children's attachment to parents showed significant positive correlation in the area of the adaptation to school life. The dimension of communicate, by fathers were shown to affect largely to the adaptation to school life of the kids and among the sub-areas of attachment to fathers, the dimension of confidence by parents were shown to affect largely to the adaptation to school life of the kids. As we saw the study result above, we could confirm that children's attachment to parents had significant relations with the adaptation to school life of the kid, and furthermore, those were affecting importantly to the adaptation to school life the kid. So, we could know that it is important for parents and children to attach mighty so that can be increased adaptation to school life of the kids.

The Relationship of Psychosocial Factors to Blood Pressure (사회심리학적인 요인과 혈압의 관계)

  • Questionnaires and blood pressure measurements were administered to 279 medical school undergraduates in 1987 to investigate the relationship between psychosocial factors and blood pressure as well as reliability and validity of the Framingham Type A Behavior Scale(FTA). The reliability coefficients of SCL-90-R and nh measured by Spearman-Brown haves split test were $0.57{\sim}0.91$. The factors of FTA extracted by principal component analysis were hard-driving competitiveness factor and impatience factor(2-factor solution) . The total score of nh was positively correlated with relative weight and place raised but the correlations were insignificant, and had significantly positive but weak correlations with depression, anxiety, hostility, paranoid, and psychoticism subscales of SCL-90-R. In the univariate analysis of blood pressures, relative weight and family history were significant in systolic pressure in males and economic status was significant in blood pressures in both sexes. For diastolic pressure, relative weight and frequency of alcohol intake were significant in males and relative weight was in females. After controlling relative weight, the frequency of alcohol intake for diastolic pressure and economic status for systolic pressure were significant in males. The important variables selected by stepwise regression analysis were relative weight and economic status for systolic pressure of males and relative weight and the frequency of alcohol intake for diastolic pressure. At the level of alpha 0.1, depression subscale was added to the model, changing coefficient of determination 0.206 to 0.217. In females, economic status and relative weight were selected for systolic pressure and for diastolic pressure body mass index alone, but the model of blood pressure for females was considered to be unstable due to small sample size(56). FTA was unrelated to the blood pressures in both sexes.

Changes of Soil Physical Properties by Glomalin Concentration and Rice Yield using Different Green Manure Crops in Paddy (녹비작물 환원 시 Glomalin 함량에 따른 토양물리성 및 벼 수량 변화)

  • This experiment was conducted at Sinheung series (fine loamy, mixed, nonacid, mesic family of Fluvaquentic Endoaquepts) in 2007 to 2008 at the National Institute of Crop Science (NICS), RDA, Suwon, Gyeonggi province, Korea. Three kinds of green manure crops (hairy vetch, barley, rye) incorporated in soil for rice cultivation. 6.3 kg N $10a^{-1}$, and3.2 kg $P_2O_5$ $10a^{-1}$ were applied to rye and barley plot before rice transplanting. Chemical fertilizers had not been applied to hairy vetch plot. Glomalin concentration, soil bulk density, and porosity were measured in soil from different green manure crops incorporation after rice harvesting in paddy. Soil bulk density and porosity after rice harvesting improved at surface soil of hairy vetch incorporation plot. Degree of water stable aggregates increased all green manure incorporation plots. Glomalin concentrations significantly increased at hairy vetch incorporation treatment. In barley plot, the concentration of glomalin increased at 10-20 soil depth. There were no differences relationship between soil carbon, and glomalin concentration, but relationship between soil aggregate stability, and glomalin concentration significantly positive under green manure crop-rice cropping system. Rice yield decreased at hairy vetch incorporation plot because of field lodging. We suggested that hairy vetch incorporation should be considered about application amount, and water management using rice cultivation because of soil properties changes.

The Relationship of urban Homemaker's Stress and Home Management Behavioral patterns (도시주부의 스트레스와 가정관리 행동유형과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between the homemaker's stress and their home management behavioral patterns in Money and Time focusing on the Morphogenic & Morphostatic. This research aimed to ' 1) Identify the overall tendency of homemaker's stress & home management behavioral patterns 2) Find out if socio-demographic variables(ie. age of homemakers, level of education, duration of marriage, umber of children, homemaker's employment, socioeconomic status) have significant effects on homemaker's stress and their home management behavioral patterns, 3)Identify the correlation between homemakers' stress and home management behavioral patterns. 4) Find out variables which have independently significant effect on home management behavioral patterns. For these purpose, this research conducted a survey by using questionnaire developed by former researchers. The subjects of this study are 500 homemakers living in Kwangju who have at least one child. The data analyzed occording to frequency, percentage, mean , one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test. Pearson's correlation and multiple regression. The main findings are as follows; 1) General tendency of the stress level percepted by the homemakers is relatively low 2) socio-demographic variables have significant effects on the stress of homemakers. Among them only homemaker's age. the number of children and socio-economic status have influe d on the stress of urban homemakers. In each area, there are differences among groups; homemaker's age, durations of marriage, number of children in the area of family; age, number of children, socio-economic status in th area of health; age. durations of marriage. number of children, socio-economic status in the area of finance; socio-economic status in the area of household work. 3) General tendency of homemakers behavioral patterns is some what morphostatic. 4)socio-demographic variables have significant effects on the behavioral patterns of home management, a)Homemaker's age, the level of education, socio-economic status is a variable to have influences on home management behavioral patterns of the Money. b)The age homemakers is a variable to have influences on home management behavioral patterns of the time. c)The age of homemakers, duration of marriage is a variable to have influences on the home management behavioral patters of the resources. 5)There are positive relationship between homemaker's stress and home management behavioral patterns . The higher level of stress , the more morphogenic home management behavioral patterns . 6)Influential variables related to management behavioral patterns are homemaker's age, the level of stress, socio-economic status.

A preliminary study for the evaluation of the effects of sex education program on college students (대학생의 성교육 효과측정을 위한 기초 연구)

  • This study was performed to provide preliminary data for the development of a useful instrument to measure the effect of sex education. The study was conducted with the voluntary participation of 155 college students enrolled in the course "Sexuality and Relationship" at Y university in Seoul. At the end of that course, they were asked to write freely about the change they had experienced on sexuality. All meaningful statements were elicited and classified into 7 categories; "Change of Knowledge", "Enlightenment", "Change of Attitude on Sexuality", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of. Identity", "Change of Emotion", "Change of Behavior:' There were significant changes in the areas of knowledge(28. 6%), enlightenment(27.4%), and attitudes(20.3%) about sexuality among these 7 categories. The Change of Knowledge category consists of 3 areas: "concretion of knowledge", "increase of information", and "correction of misunderstanding." In the category of Enlightenment, total 12 areas are included: "sex role", "erception of lack of knowledge", "importance of family", "life plan", "parent role", "value of life", "equality", "sexual autonomy", "importance of sexuality", "freedom of sexuality", "perception of sexual problem", and "meaning of love." The Attitude Change category consists of 8 areas. These are "being natural", "being progressive", "being sensitive", "being truthful", "being expressive", "being cautious", "being responsible", and "being confident". The category of Buildup of Ability includes 4 areas: "problem solving", "sex education", "relationship", and "communication". The category of Buildup of Identity includes "sexual identity", and "value of sexuality". The Emotional Change category includes 3 areas: "positive feeling", "negative feeling", and "breaking from negative feeling on sexuality". The Behavior Change category includes "sex-related behavioral change". In conclusion, up to now most researches on sex education effect measures only changes of knowledge, attitude, and behavior. But we believe the changes in "Enlightenment", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of Identity", "Change of Emotion", should be included in addition to knowledge, attitude, and behavior in the development of an instrument to measure the sex education effects. And the effect of sex education should measure the degree of learning of autonomy, enlightenment, and ability of behavior and so on rather than studying the simple changes in sexuality.enment", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of Identity", "Change of Emotion", should be included in addition to knowledge, attitude, and behavior in the development of an instrument to measure the sex education effects.   • The Purpose of This study is amid competition, High-quality human resources in food service industry make a lot of efforts. Especially, Work and Life Balance(WLB) is a considerable factor when modern workers decide and maintain the workplace and also it could be supposed as one strategic method that corporations could attract and maintain talented people. This study built a exploratory model that there is causal relationship of WLB(work and life balance) to employee's organizational commitment. Additionally this study examine the Moderating Effect of perceived value of work between WLB(work and life balance) and organizational commitment. This study utilized total 217 responses from workers of food service industrial employees and as analysis methods, it used descriptive statistic analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical analysis. Results of analysis are as follows. First this study found that the work-life balance could give significant effects to the organizational commitment. work-growth balance and work-leisure balance has positive significance effect with the organizational commitment but work-family balance was not statistically significant. Second, The significance of this study indicates that perceived value of work plays a role as moderating variable influencing the relationship between work and growth balance and employee organizational commitment. Lastly, this study suggested the implication of the result, the limitation and the direction of future study. The results of this study provide suggestion to the company.

The Moderating Effects of Birth Rate Policies between Korean Women's Values of Children and Their Intentions for Subsequent Childbirth (기혼여성의 자녀가치관과 추가출산의향 간의 관계에서 출산장려정책의 조절효과 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze whether both childcare subsidy and childcare leave policies have moderating effects on the relationship between Korean women's value of children and their intentions for subsequent childbirth. The data are used from the 2015 National Survey on Fertility and Family Health and Welfare. Both hierarchical multiple regression analysis and moderated regression analysis are used for statistical analysis. The findings from the study are as follow. First, the ideal number of children, instrumental values, and emotional values have positive effects on the intentions for subsequent childbirth after controlling for background variables(level of education, income, age, and number of children). Second, childcare leave policy has no significant effect on the intentions for subsequent childbirth while childcare subsidy policy has the negative effect. Third, only childcare subsidy policy has moderating effects on the relationship between instrumental, emotional values, and the intentions for subsequent childbirth. These results suggest that policies enhancing the value of children should be implemented in addition to traditional birth rate policies. Furthermore, new birth rate polices are needed for those married women who have a high possibility of subsequent childbirth.
