The Purpose of this study is to exmaine fundamental problems of Gwangyang Port and draw up plans of its Hub Port. Gwangyang Port has been gradually reduced container cargo increase rate. on account of large development of Chinese Port, undevelopment of Hinterland, Port facilities of Gwangyang Port. We should develop hinterland to be closely connected with Port Cluster, Business City, Free Economic Zone to increase cargo volume. and in order to increase transshipment cargo volume, We should prepare diverse plans that can induce Chinese and Japanese transshipment cargo. Gwangyang Port and Busan Port should be managed united one port system by a Port Authority to strengthen international competitiveness. Activation of new ports for the most part call for full support by Government at the beginning. Gwangyang Port's future it can be if Government has strong will.

A Numerical model is developed in order to predict cross-shore beach profile change. In this model it is assumed that sediment transport is generated by waves(bed load transport suspended load transport) and undertow which is defined as offshore directional steady flow in the surf zone. In addition wave tank experiments which reproduce storm-surge were performed. By comparing resulting profile of calculation with experiments, the applicability of this method is verified.

Evaluation of the quantitative risk of collision plays a key role in developing the expert system of navigation and collision avoidance. This study analysed thoroughly how to determine the threshold of avoidance sector as described in the new evaluation of collision risk, and suggested the collision risk obtained by the alteration of course and/or speed in order to pass clear qf each danger zone as the threshold of avoidance sector.

The purpose of this study is to propose the need of Masan Free Trade Zone and the strategy of successful implementation. MFTZ was established as a center of general free trade and global distribution by means the promotion of foreign investment in 1970s. To promote the development of MFTZ, it can be proposed a) successful technology innovation, b) reforming of related laws and regulations, c) the care of local government, d) strengthening of marketing activities, e) deeping of comparative advantage of investment, f) encouraging of strategic industries.

This paper addresses the operation, problems, and development policy of Gwangyang Port, Korea. This paper aims to analyze the operation condition and problems of Gwangyang Port and suggest long-term policies for developing Gwangyang Port as a logistic hub in northeast period. It is made up of three main sections: the operation, problems, and forecast of freight volumes; analysis of operational results of Gwangyang Port; development strategies of Gwangyang Port as a Logistics Hub. This paper was mainly based on a review of current papers/reports, an analysis of secondary data, and questionnaire survey. The major development strategies identified consisted of expansion regular service sea-route, formation of inter-modal transportation system, strengthening of port sales for Gwangyang port's recognition, securing operation-profits by fixed cargo volume, and promotion of free tread zone.

The purpose of this study is to consolidate the position of Kunsan Port as a Hub-port in Northeast asian region with the development of Kunsan port's hinterland. To accomplish the purpose, this paper firstly reviews the concept and function of port's hinterland literally. Next, We attempt to grasps the trends of port logistics service in this region, and to cope with this trends, study the previous researches of logistics platform(LP). Based upon the study, We find out the main factors of improving efficiency in port logistics, and build the model of logistics strategy with such factors as (1) Environment (2) Marketing (3) Logistics Chain and (4) Logistics community. And in order to applicate the model, we analyze the current situation of Kunsan port and port's hinterland. Finally, we provide the logistics strategies in Kunsan port's hinterland.

Due to have been more keen in East-North Asia Hub Port competition, to be accelerated Busan New Port development, and to result to supply excess position, Busan port has been confronted by many problems. Also, as facilities of North Port is old, it is impossible to secure 16m depth of water at North Port, and North Port redevelopment is being, container traffic of North Port is accelerated to shift at New Port. Therefore, it. is time to seek for connection growth plan of succeeding together-Busan North & New Port as soon as possible. Connection growth plan of succeeding together-Busan North & New Port is focused, as follows. First, it is required to set up model for connection growth plan of succeeding together-Busan North & New Port. It is valid to specialize for ULCC, to promote to global port at New Port, and it is effective to focus on feeder service and general cargo handling, and to include most space to North Port redevelopment. Second, through port function reorganization, it is required to create a synergy by port function clustering. Third, through effective connection traffic network expansion for moving T/S cargo effectively, it is required to develop Busan Port for T/S cargo-focused port. Fourth, it is required to develop port hinterland logistics zone for creating container traffic through connection development of New Port-BJFEZ. Finally, it is required to build SCM system for creating container traffic among shipper, carrier, freight forwarder and related institution.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the free economic zone policy from the viewpoint of Policy Science. because of insufficiency on policy science of the previous researches for the free economic zone. So Trying on free economic zone policy from the viewpoint of policy science, the paper is shown the new proposal for free economic zone policy. For this trying, this paper used to the viewpoint of policy science; (1) the system of policy(policy process, policy content(pattern)), (2) the policy implementation(local government-central intergovernmental management). In the end, beyond the previous research on the free economic zone policy, shown on not only new viewpoints on the free economic zone, but also, the solutions of practical implementation for free economic zone on the free economic zone.

This study was carried out for verification of efficiency of seawater exchange breakwater which was installed in joomoongin harbor for the first time in our country. The joomoongin harbor, where seawater exchange breakwater has been constructed, shows typical for fishery and tourist port city specifics of greatest pollutants discharge volume in spring and summer, when tourist inflow and fishery activity is most vigorous. On the East Sea seawater flux through seawater exchange breakwater for the smallest waves (up to 0.5 m) was found out to be $1,526-3,052m^3/day$. After construction of seawater exchange breakwater, Zone 1 and Zone 2 of stagnant water inside the port were found to be a lot improved. Zone 3, adjacent to outport area, was found to be lower comparing with Zone 1 and Zone 2. The results of statistical analysis show that comparing with water quality improvement effect before and after seawater exchange, water quality after installation of seawater exchange breakwater became much better, primarily because of physical change around the harbour.
