In this paper, for the application of ultrasonic cleaners for cleaning dentures and transparent braces, Pb(Mn1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Ni1/3 Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 [PMN-PNN-PZT] system ceramics were manufactured and their dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. Overall the best properties suitable for the device applications such as ultrasonic cleaner were obtained from the ceramics sintered at 920℃: bulk density of 7.8 g/cm3, the dielectric constant (εr) of 1,689, piezoelectric charge constant (d33) of 433 pC/N, planar electromechanical coupling factor (kp) of 0.64, mechanical quality factor (Qm) of 835, S11E of 13.37 (10-12 N/m2), and Curie temperature of 315℃ By using the physical properties of this composition, the ultrasonic cleaner was designed and simulated using the commercial ATILA software. For the three-layered ceramics with the dimension of 25 mm × 25 mm × 2.5mm, an excellent displacement of 8.998 10-3 m) and the sound pressure of 147.68 dB were recorded.

As energy harvesting technology becomes important in relation to environmental issues, piezoelectric materials that convert mechanical energy into electrical energy are attracting attention. However, PZT, a representative material for piezoelectricity, is becoming difficult to use due to the problem that its components can cause environmental pollution. For this reason, recent research suggests a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) that generates energy through the combined effect of triboelectricity and electric induction for alternative piezoelectric devices. In TENG, electrical power is determined by the dielectric constant, thickness, and grain generation of the charged material. Therefore, in this study, a Rutile phase TiO2 thin film with high dielectric constant was formed using the spin-coating process and the effect of annealing was investigated. For electrical analysis, a TENG device was fabricated using PTFE as a material with an opposite charge, and electrical output according to film thickness and grain formation was comparatively analyzed.

Perovskite $Pb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3[PNN-PZT]$ ceramics were synthesized by conventional ceramic processing technique. In order to modify piezoelectric properties for sensor application in this system, NiO addition was considered to provide $Ni^{+2}$ as an acceptor, which was known to occupy with B site in the structure. The effect of NiO addition up to $8\;mol\%$ on the following piezoelectric properties as well as sintering properties was investigated. When NiO added more than $1\;mol\%$, average grain size was decreased and second phase was found to form. Moreover, the second phase caused decrease in relative dielectric constant $(\varepsilon_{33}T/\varepsilon0)$, electro-mechanical coupling factor $(k_p)$, and piezoelectric charge constant $(d_{33})$, while increasing mechanical quality factor $(Q_m)$. When $1\;mol\%$ NiO was added, density, dielectric properties and piezoelectric properties were abruptly increased.
In this study, PZT-5A green sheet were prepared by using tape casting technique, and the piezoelectric properties of PZT-5A by variation of sintering temperature was investigated. After, design and piezoelectric properties of 2-2 piezocomposite ultrasonic transducers by menas of the FEA. The acoustic impedance and piezoelectric charge constant of the 2-2 type piezocomposite transducer decreased proportionally due to the density decrease caused by the PZT volume fraction decrease. The piezocomposite acoustic impedance were 7~3 MRayl between 0.6 and 0.2 allowing it to be used for a ultrasonic transducer. The resonance characteristics and the electro-mechanical coupling factor were the best when the volume fraction PZT was 0.6. The PZT volume fraction shows the fixed value, 0.6~0.65, approximately within the range between 0.2 and 0.6 while it is increased to decreased over the range. The result of the experiment above confirmed that the 2-2 piezoelectric composites could be used as the ultrasonic transducers.
Effect of NiO and $MnO_2$ addtivies on the dielectric piezoelectrics and polarization-reversal properties of $(Pb_{0.936} La_{0.064})$$(Zr_{0.60}Ti_{0.40})O_3$ ceramics have been investigated. The specimens were prepared by the mixed oxide techni-que and atmosphere sintering method. The room temperature X-ray diffraction studies show that perfect perovskite solution with tetragonal structure was obtained from PLZT and its additives. The dielectric constant and dissipation factor decreased with the addition of both NiO and $MnO_2$ The Curie of Curie temperature was not observed but they displayed broadened maxima. The planar coupling factor was improved by addition of NiO and also increased with increasing sintering time carried out at 105$0^{\circ}C$ Addition of $MnO_2$ yielded a markedly high mechanical quality factor. The space-charge field decreased with the addition of NiO but increased with the addition of $MnO_2$ The planar coupling factor and space-charge field showed same dependence on the additivies. The tetragonality Curie temperature and planar coupling factor of $(Pb_{0.936} La_{0.064})$$(Zr_{0.60}Ti_{0.40})O_3$ were higher than those of $(Pb_{0.936} La_{0.064})$$(Zr_{0.568}NU_{0.032}Ti_{0.40})_{0.984}O_3$ but the grain size lattic parameter dielectric constant dissipation factor mechanical quality factor and space-charge field of the former were lower than those of the latter.

The $(Na_{0.52}K_{0.44})(Nb_{0.9}Sb_{0.06})O_3-0.04dLiTaO_3$ (NKNS-LT) ceramics with various $Cu_2O$ concentration were prepared by the conventional solid state reaction method. The $Cu_2O$ content was varied in the range of 0.1~0.4 wt%. The effects of Cu on microstructure, crystallographic phase transition, and piezoelectric properties were investigated. The material with perovskite structure had a tetragonal phase (T1) when $Cu_2O$ concentration was less than 0.3 wt% and it transformed to another tetragonal phase (T2) when the $Cu_2O$ amount was greater than 0.3 wt%. The phase boundary between T1 and T2 phases appeared at around 0.3 wt% of $Cu_2O$ concentration. The piezoelectric properties were shown the maximum values at the composition of the phase boundary. The electro-mechanical coupling factor ($k_p$) was 0.42 and the piezoelectric charge constant ($d_{33}$) was 245 pC/N at the 0.3 wt% of $Cu_2O$ concentration.

The figures of merit in the on-resonance and off-resonance conditions ($FOM_{on}$ and $FOM_{off}$) for the piezoelectric energy harvester (PEH) were measured and compared in $[(K_{0.485}Na_{0.515})_{1-X}Li_X](Nb_{0.99}Ta_{0.01})O_3$ (x = 0.04 ~ 0.09) (KNLNT) ceramics with various Li contents. The crystal structure of CuO-doped KNLNT ceramics changes from orthorhombic to tetragonal around the Li fraction of 0.065. The stable temperature range for the tetragonal phase widens to both higher and lower temperatures as Li is substituted. The piezoelectric charge constant ($d_{33}$), electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$) and mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$) have maximum values at the Li fraction between 0.055 and 0.065 where the phase boundary lies between the orthorhombic and tetragonal phases. Both $FOM_{on}$ and $FOM_{off}$ have peak values around the phase boundary but the peak compositions are not exactly coincided. The optimal Li fraction in the KNLNT ceramic for a PEH application was found to be between 0.055 and 0.065.
This paper was studied on the effects of Ca-La-Nb substitution and Zr/Ti ratio variation to Pb(Zr, Ti)$O_3$ system on structural, electrical, optical and sound level characteristics in order to develope the piezoelectric and electrooptic ceramic devices. Also the specimens were prepared by the two stage sintering technique. The molecular formular was X($CaO{\cdot}1/4La_{2}O_{3}{\cdot}1/4Nb_{2}O_{5}){\cdot}(1-X)Pb(Zr_{Y}Ti_{1-Y})O_{3}$(x=100X, y=100Y), and the variation of x was $6{\sim}12$, y was 60${\sim}$49 and second stage sintering time was 20${\sim}$40 hours. The experimental results obtained from this study are as follows : 1. The density was decreased, the grain size was increased according to increase of Ca-La-Nb substitution. 2. The crystal structure was rhombohedral in composition 6/60/40, and the crystal structure was tetragonal and cubic according to increase of Ca-La-Nb substitution. 3. The Ca substitution of PZT system enhanced the sintering property. The Pb site vacancy resulting from the substitution of La-Nb increased the dielectrical constant, the piezoelectric charge constant, the dielectric loss and decreased the coercive field. 4. The resistivity of PZT system which has the P type conduction mechanism increased according to substitution of La-Nb because of the substituent acting as donor. 5. The PZT ceramics varied from ferroelectric substance according to increase of Ca-La-Nb substituent. The coercive field and saturation remanent polarization decreased, and at last straight line according to increase of La-Nb substitution. 6. The amount of Ca-La-Nb substitution to improve the light transmittance of speciment was 10 mol%, the Zr/Ti ratio was 49/51, and the second stage sintering time was 40 hours. 7. According to Ca-La-Nb substitution, the specimens was to be transparent. The 7.5/51/49 specimen was suitable for transparent sound vibrator because it had 58% light transmittance (thick 0.2[mm], wave length 700[mm]) and 48% electromechanical coupling factor.

A piezoelectric cantilever energy harvester (PCEH) driven in longitudinal (3-3) vibration mode was fabricated, and its electrical properties were evaluated by varying the resistive load. A commercial PZT piezoelectric ceramic with a high piezoelectric charge constant ($d_{33}$) of 520 pC/N and the interdigitated (IDT) electrode pattern was used to fabricate the PCEH driven in longitudinal vibration. The IDT Ag electrode embedded piezoelectric laminates were co-fired at $850^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. The 3-3 mode PCEH was successfully fabricated by attaching the piezoelectric laminates to a SUS304 elastic substrate. The PCEH exhibited a high output power of 3.8 mW across the resistive load of $100k{\Omega}$ at 100 Hz and 1.5 G. This corresponds to a power density of $10.3mW/cm^3$ and a normalized global power factor of $4.56mW/g^2{\cdot}cm^3$. Given the other PCEH driven in transverse (3-1) vibration mode, the 3-3 mode PCEH could be better for vibration energy harvesting applications.

KNN-based ceramics modified with small amounts of $Bi_4Zr_3O_{12}$ (BiZ) has been synthesized using high-throughput experimentation (HTE). The results from X-ray diffraction show that for samples with base composition $(K_{0.5}Na_{0.5})NbO_3$ (KNN), the phase present changes from orthorhombic to pseudo-cubic with more than 0.2 mol% BiZ addition; for samples with base composition $(K_{0.48}Na_{0.48}Li_{0.04})(Nb_{0.9}Ta_{0.1})O_3$ (KNNLT), the phase present changes from a mixture of orthorhombic and tetragonal symmetry to pseudo-cubic with more than 0.4 mol % while for samples with base composition $(K_{0.48}Na_{0.48}Li_{0.04})(Nb_{0.86}Ta_{0.1}Sb_{0.04})O_3$ (KNNLST), the phase present is tetragonal with <0.3 mol% BiZ addition and transforms to pseudo-cubic with more dopant addition. The microstructures of the samples show that addition of BiZ decreases the average grain size and increases the volume of pores at the grain boundaries. The values of dielectric constant for KNN and KNNLT compositions increase slightly with BiZ addition while that for KNNLST decreases gradually with BiZ addition. The dielectric loss values are between 0.02 and 0.04 for KNNLT and KNNLST compositions while they are ~ 0.05 for KNN samples. The resistivity values increases with BiZ addition and values in the range of $10^{10}{\Omega}cm$ and $10^{12}{\Omega}cm$ are obtained. The piezoelectric charge coefficient ($d{^*}_{33}$) is highest for KNNLST samples and decreases gradually from ~400 pm/V to ~100 pm/V with BiZ addition.
