고압전동기 고정자 권선의 운전중 부분방전 패턴 분석 (Analysis of On-Line Partial Discharge Patterns in High Voltage Motor Stator Windings)

  • During normal machine operation, partial discharge(PD) measurements were performed with turbine generator analyzer(TGA) in two high voltage motors. Two 6.6kV motors were installed with 80pF capacitive couplers at the terminal box. The PD patterns were displayed two dimensional and three dimensional. TGA summarizes each plot with two quantifies such as the normalized quantity number(NQN) and the peak PD magnitude(Qm). Off-line PD measurements were conducted on one 4.16kV motor. The motor was energized to 2.4kV, 3.0kV, 3.5kV and 4.16kV, respectively. The PD levels in pC were measured with a conventional digital PD detector. The comparison of positive to negative PD indicates whether the defect elements of PD are within the insulation or on the insulation surface. Discharge at conductor surface was discovered in No. 1 motor. Internal discharges were generated in phase A, B and C of No. 2 motor, Slot discharges occurred in three phases of No. 3 motor.

  • The problem being considered here is the determination of optimal guidance laws for a launch vehicle for scientific missions. The optimal guidance commands are determined in the sense that the least amount of fuel is used. A numerical solution was obtained for the case where the position and velocity state variables satisfy a specified constraint at the time of thrust cutoff. The method used here is based on the Pontryagin's maximum principle. This is the method of solving a problem in the calculus of variations. In particular, it applies to the problem considered here where the magnitude of the control is bounded. Simulations for the optimal guidance algorithm, during the 2nd and the 3rd-stage flight of the Japanese rocket M-3H-3, are carried out. The results show that the guided trajectory that satisfying the terminal constraints is optimal, and the guidance algorithm works well in the presence of some errors during the 1st-stage pre-programmed guidance phase.

간섭무늬의 변화갯수 측정을 이용한 광섬유 교류전압센서 (Fiber Optic AC Voltage Sensor Using Fringe Counting)

  • 감지부의 PZT tube를 이용한 위상변조기를 연결한 광섬유 Mach-Zehnder 간섭계를 구성하고, 새로운 신호처리 장치를 도입하여 인가교류전압의 주파수에 상관없이 전압의 크기 및 인가전압의 파형을 측정할 수 있는 광섬유 전압센서를 구성하였다. 이 센서에서 전압변화에 따른 간섭무늬 변화갯수의 관계는 선형적 비례관계를 가짐을 관측하였으며, 온도변화에 따른 간섭무늬의 변화갯수를 측정했다. 또한, 간섭계 출력에서 편광변조에 의해 생길 수 있는 간섭무늬의 visibility의 변화를 없애기 위해 편광유지 광섬유를 이용한 간섭계 또는 광섬유 반파장판을 이용할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • 동계 동해와 황해 표층 수십 메터에서 불안정 성층을 수반한 해양 온도 역전 현상이 종종 발생한다. 수온 역전층 발생의 원인으로서는 (1) 해면으로부터의 열손실을 보상하기 위한 해양 내부의 대류에 기인한 수온 역전, (2) 계절적 수온 변화가 하방으로 전달되면서 진폭과 위상이 바뀜에 따른 동계의 수온 역전, 그리고 (3) 냉수역에서 온수역으로 취송류가 이동함에 따른 수온 역전 등을 들 수 있는 바, 이 논문에서는 위의 세가지 수온 역전 발생 원인에 대하여 해석적인 모델을 제시한다.

Development of the Microfluidic Device to Regulate Shear Stress Gradients

  • Shear stress occurs in flowing liquids, especially at the interface of a flowing liquid and a stationary solid phase. Thus, it occurs inside the artery system of the human body, where it is responsible for a number of biological functions. The shear stress level generally remains less than $70dyne/cm^2$ in the whole circulatory system, but in the stenotic arteries, which are constricted by 95%, a shear stress greater than $1,000dyne/cm^2$ can be reached. Methods of researching the effects of shear stress on cells are of large interest to understand these processes. Here, we show the development of a microfluidic device for generating shear stress gradients. The performance of the shear stress gradient generator was theoretically simulated prior to experiments. Through simple manipulations of the liquid flow, the shape and magnitude of the shear stress gradients can be manipulated. Our microfluidic device consisted of five portions divided by arrays of micropillars. The generated shear stress gradient has five distinct levels at 8.38, 6.55, 4.42, 2.97, and $2.24dyne/cm^2$. Thereafter, an application of the microfluidic device was demonstrated testing the effect of shear stress on human umbilical vein endothelial cells.

  • The MSC is a high resolution multi-spectral camera system which is mounted on the KOMPSAT-II satellite. The electro-optic camera system has a refocusing mechanism which can be used in-orbit by ground commands. By adjusting locations of some elements in optics, the system can be focused precisely. The focus mechanism in MSC is implemented with stepper motor and potentiometer. By reading the value of the potentiometer, rough position of the motor can be understood. The exact location of the motor can not be acquired because the information from the potentiometer can not be so accurate. However, before and after certain events of the satellite, like a satellite launch, the direction of the movement or order of the magnitude of the movement can be understood. In this paper, the trend analysis of the focus motor position during the ground test phase is introduced. This result can be used as basic information for the focus calibration after launch. By studying the long term trend, deviation from the best focal point can be understood. The positions of the focus motors after launch are also compared.

  • 듀플렉스 스테인리스강은 일반 오스테나이트계 스테인리스강과는 다른 열적, 기계적 성질로 인하여 일반 스테인리스강과는 다른 잔류응력 크기와 분포를 가진다. 따라서 듀플렉스 스테인리스강을 강구조물에 적용시키기 위해서는 용접부의 잔류응력 특성에 대한 연구가 반드시 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 듀플렉스 스테인리스강 용접시 발생하는 잔류응력을 스트레인 게이지를 이용한 응력 이완법을 이용하여 실험적으로 측정하여 용접부의 잔류응력 특징을 조사하였다.

PIV 기법을 이용한 프로펠러 후류의 3차원 유동 특성 연구 (Study on the Three Dimensional Flow Characteristics of the Propeller Wake Using PIV Techniques)

  • A stereo-PIV (particle image velocimetry) technique is used to investigate the vortical structure of the wake behind a rotating propeller in the present study. A four bladed propeller is tested in a cavitaion tunnel without any wake screen. Hundreds of instantaneous velocity fields are phase-averaged to reveal the three dimensional spatial evolution of the flow behind the propeller. The results of conventional 2-D PIV are also compared with those of the stereo-PIV to understand the vortical structure of propeller wake deeply. The variations of radial and axial velocities in the 2-D PIV results seem to be affected by the out-of-plane motion. generating a little perspective error in the in-plane velocity components of the slipstream. The strong out-of-plane motion around the hub vortex also causes the perspective error to vary the axial velocity component a little at the near wake region. The out-of-plane velocity component had the maximum value of about 0.3U0 in the tip vortices and continued its magnitude in the wake region.

  • KAERIT 토카막 장치의 플라즈마 생성을 위한 수소기차 방전실험에 관해 기술하였다. 이 실험에서는 일주전압, 토로이달 자장, 충전기체 압력, 오차자장 및 예비전리 등이 방전시작에 미치는 영향이 연구되었다. 오차자장은 방전에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 인자로서 방전전압이 최소가 되는 것은 결국 오차자장 성분을 가장 잘 상쇄시켰을 때였다. 예비전리의 효과는 전반적으로 두드러지지는 않았지만 밀폐 성능이 나쁠수록 상대적으로 크게 나타났다. 실험적으로 구해진 방전시작조건은 이론적인 모델의 계산결과와 비교하였다. 실험에서의 방전영역이 이론적인 계산결과에 비해 줄어드는 경향을 보이고 있는 것은 고려되지 않은 다른 인자에 기인하는 것으로 판단되지만 토카막의 방전시작단계를 다루기에는 이 모델로도 충분하다.

Concentrations of Progesterone and Estradiol in Peripheral Plasma during the Estrous Cycle and after Ovariectomy in Huanghuai Goats of High or Poor Prolificacy

  • The objective of this study was to characterize the litter sizes in Huanghuai goats with high prolificacy (HP, five or more kids born per litter on at least one occasion), and to compare their peripheral blood concentrations of progesterone and estradiol with those of goats with poor prolificacy (PP, up to three kids born per litter on any occasion). The circulating concentrations of progesterone and estradiol were measured by radioimmunoassay from daily blood samples taken during natural estrus cycles and at 1-5 days after ovariectomy. Estrus was synchronized using two doses of a prostaglandin analog. Litter size for the HP goats increased up to a parity of five and decreased thereafter. The percentage of goats with litter sizes of $\geq$4 from parities 3 to 6 ranged from 44.5% to 58.3%. Although small differences in litter size were obtained for goats of parities three, four and six relative to five, parity five does had the highest mean litter size. Progesterone concentrations began to rise earlier and were higher in the HP than in the PP goats on most days of the luteal phase, but not during the follicular phase of the cycle or after ovariectomy. There was a significant difference between the two groups (p<0.05) in the magnitude of the progesterone plateau. Mean estradiol concentrations in the HP group remained significantly higher than in the PP group (p<0.05) during the estrus cycle. There were two estradiol peaks in the HP goats during the early luteal phase, but only one in the PP group. Measurements of individual corpora lutea (CL) in vitro showed that there was a greater prevalence of small CL (<6 mm in diameter) in the HP group than in the PP group (p<0.05). After ovariectomy, the estradiol level on day 1 was significantly higher than at the nadir during the estrus cycle in both the HP (p<0.01) and PP (p<0.05) goats, while levels decreased by 12.3% and 26.2% respectively compared with the mid-luteal period in HP and PP goats (p<0.05). The overall mean estradiol concentrations in HP goats were lower than in the PP group, but no significant differences were found between groups at 1-5 days after ovariectomy.
