The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of the reading guidance for the youth among personality types. This presented the desirable way of the reading guidance through the differences. For this study, the data was collected through observation and focus group interview while reading guidance was implemented among senior year elementary school students and middle school students. This study revealed the possibility of the reading guidance based on personality type. As a result of the reading guidance, this showed the differences between personality type and reading attitude; and between reading tendency and product writing of the youth.
Objectives : The study aims to verify the relationship between personality type and sense of vocation of the clinical dental hygienist. Methods : The study data was collected from 221 dental hygienists working in the City of Changwon(unified), Busan Gyeongsangnam-do. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0 program. Results : The relationship between the general characteristics of the study population and a sense of vocation was higher for the dental hygienists with a higher level of education attainment, higher monthly salary, higher job satisfaction level, extroverted personality, and the dental hygienists in a low neurotic group(p<0.001). According to the correlation results among job satisfaction, personality type and the sense of vocation, a sense of vocation and job satisfaction have a positive correlation while the sense of vocation and neurotic tendency have a negative correlation(p<0.01). The results of logistic-regression analysis on the factors influencing the sense of vocation are as follows: education attainment(p<0.001), salary(p<0.05), extroversion(p<0.001) and neurotic tendency(p<0.05). Conclusions : Nature of consciousness, depending on the type of professional vocation was to determine the difference.
The main purpose of this study are as follows ; 1) To examine closely the effect of personality dimension on brand image. 2) To investigate the difference of variables about brand image according to the characteristics of the population statistics and draw the strategies of marketing for our wear enterprises. A 300 Samples were selected from female in Seoul and the investigation was conducted during 21 days, from 1998. 9. 21 to 1988. 10. 11. As for survey methozs, the personality dimension test developed by Eysenk was adopted. To measure the brand image, the adjectives of the semantic differentia scale developed by Malhotra and adjective that has been used in various were image analysis were adopted. The data were analysed using the statistical technic of Correlation Coefficient, F-test, and X2 test. The Results obtained from this study were as follows. 1. There were partially significant relationships between adult female's four subordinate variables of the personality dimension and preferred brand image on Women's ready-made wear. 1) The people having a high Psychoticism tendency preferred "individual" image and less preferred "practical" image than the people of low Psychoticism. 2) The people having a high extraversion tendency preferred "bold", "aged" image and less preferred "feminine", "practical" image. 3) The unstable female having a high neuroticism tendency preferred "abscure" image and less preferred "Practical" "gaudy", "Open hearted" image. 4) The people having a high lie tendency perferred "intricate", "classical" image and less preferred "bold", "citified", "incongruous" image. 2. There were partially significant differences in adult female's preferred brand image on women's ready made wear according to the characteristics of the population statistics.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of providing books to elementary school students that match their personality type on their reading attitude. For this purpose, this study investigated among the 226 elementary school students that are enrolled in fourth, fifth, and sixth grade classes at the elementary schools located in Gyeonggido, South Korea. The personality type of the students was determined by the Enneagram test. In this study, students were given with books that match their personality type and the effect of the provision was investigated. Main results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the fact that books that match their own personality type made the children curious about the books, evoking their interest in reading. Second, the children exchanged their books with those who have similar personality type after they finish reading. As a result, the children could be exposed to more diverse books. Third, the students were curious about what kind of books were given to those with different personality type. The students responded that they want to read all of the different types of books too.
This study is aimed at verifying the effect of scratch programming education for middle school students on their information science creative personality and technological problem solving tendency. The results of such study can be used as basic data for raising 'future creative talents' armed with problem-solving capability they honed in software education. The results of this research are as follows. First, a statistically significant difference was confirmed between ex ante and ex post samples in a t-test which was performed to verify information science creative personality of the middle school students (t(37)=4.305, p<.01). Their information science creative personality was high in the average score as it dropped from 3.00 in the ex-ante test to 2.51 in the ex post test. It was confirmed that the education of scratch programming influences information science creative personality for middle school students positively, suggesting that middle school students are interested in new problematic situations they found in information science and discover new problem-solving methods in the programming education, thereby showing positive feedback in the education performance. However, it was revealed that the middle school students were unable to immerse themselves in the scratch programming course completely and change their psychological states. Second, a statistically significant difference was confirmed between ex ante and ex post samples in a t-test which was performed to verify their technological problem solving tendency (t(37)=3.074, p<.01). Their technological problem solving tendency was high in the average score as it dropped from 4.06 in the ex-ante test to 3.55 in the ex post test. It was confirmed that the education of scratch programming influences technological problem solving tendency for middle school students positively: they understood problems associated with technology, explored diverse breakthroughs for the identified problems and assessed and improved resolutions. Third, a moderate correlation was confirmed between their information science creative personality and technological problem solving tendency (r=.343, p<.05). Therefore, it is judged that the middle school students who took scratch programming education demonstrated its influence in the correlation between the imagination for problem solving, positivity in the information science creative personality and the confidence for problem solving in the technological problem solving tendency.

This purpose of this study was to analyze the variables associated with the ethical consumption behavior of children consumers. This subjects were 431 elementary school students. PASW 18.0 was used for data processing to do frequency analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, children consumers tend to a little higher everyday ethical consumption behavior than others-oriented ethical consumption behavior. Second, as a result of analyzing ethical consumption behavior according to social economic variables, a high tendency of ethical consumption behavior was shown in groups that personality is extrovert and their household economic status is over upper middle class and father's age is higher. Third, the variables affecting ethical consumption behavior of children consumers were self-regulation ability, materialism, altruism, personality tendency, household economic status. Materialism had a negative effect but self-regulation ability, materialism, altruism, personality tendency, and household economic status had a positive effect.
Unlike traditional advertising practice, product placement(ppL) has several advantages such as avoiding zapping and working as celebrity endorsement. Previous research has been mainly focused on the presentation style of the PPL. However, to understand the effect of the PPL process properly, it is necessary to study the audience's personality. Therefore, this study attempted to investigate the relationship between audience's consumption tendency and the effect of the PPL. More specifically: the current study examined the influence of the brand consciousness and impulsive buying tendency on the attitude toward the PPL. The results showed that people considered to be highly brand conscious and impulsive buying tendency seem to have more favorable attitude toward the PPL. Indeed, self-esteem have a positive influence on the attitude toward the PPL. Therefore, consumer's personality is related to their response to the PPL.

The purpose of this study was to compare personality existed in the populations of the mentally retarded with and without Down syndrome. For this purpose, two research questions were proposed. (a) Is there any difference of personality existed between two groups? (b) Is there any difference of sub-personality existed between two groups by disability degree? Participants in this are 159 people with mental retardation(the mentally retarded with Down syndrom: 82, the mentally retarded without Down syndrom : 77) in P and S cities. First of all, the reliability in measurement instrument was verified through a pre-study. For the first research question, t-test was used. And two way ANOVA was used to investigate the second research question. The results of this study were as follows:First, according to the result of t-test, there were significant differences of personality scores between two groups. And there were significant differences between the mentally retarded with and without Down syndrome regard to expectation of success, outerdirectedness, positive or negative responding tendency, curiosity among sub-personality factors. Second, the result of the two way ANOVA analysis, no meaningful statistically difference in personality by degree of the impairment. But It showed difference regard to effectancy motivation, expectation of success, curiosity among sub-personality factors between the mentally retarded with and without Down syndrome by impairment degree.
This research tried to examine how the love style is changed as the psychological tendency specifying individual personality types that other domestic and foreign researches have overlooked all this while. The subjects of this study were the college students and white and blue-collar employees. The instruments used in this study were the Love Attitude Scale and the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator). When applying the MBTI and the Love Attitude Scale, 474 people were analyzed. To get the result, the data from the survey were processed by the statistical program, SPSS/PC$^+$. Specifically, the statistical methods employed in this study were frequency, percentile, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis and chi-square. The major findings are as follows: 1. The most frequent love style among single men and women in this study was the Eros (46.6%). The next frequent love style was the Storge (40.3%). The Ludus occupied the least portion (13.1%) among single men and women. 2. The personality types over 10% among 16 personality types of MBTI were ISTJ (Introverted Sensing Type) (19.4%), ESTJ (Extroverted Sensing Type) (13.1%), and ISTP (Introverted Thinking Type) (12.4%). 3. As a result of observing the relationship of the love stymie and the psychological tendency among single men and women, the love style was found to have relationship with TF preference (Judgement function) and JP preference (Life Style). However, there were no relationships with the love style and EI preference (focus of Energy), SN preference (Perception Function).

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore self-directed learning ability and its affecting factors among undergraduate students. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study design was used. Using a convenience sampling method, data were collected from 196 undergraduate students enrolled in one national university. Negative psychological tendency (i.e. Type D personality), academic engagement, and self-directed learning ability were assessed using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and analysis of covariance, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple linear regression, using SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results: The mean age of the students was $21.61{\pm}2.40years$ and 56.6% were male students. Approximately, one third (n=67, 34.2%) of the students had Type D personality. The average scores of academic engagement and self-directed learning ability were $3.01{\pm}1.14$ and $3.46{\pm}0.50$, respectively. After controlling for sociodemographic variables, the Type D personality and academic engagement were significant predictors of self-directed learning ability (${\beta}=.64$, p<.001; ${\beta}=-.13$, p=.021, respectively). This model explained 53.6% of the variance in self-directed learning ability. Conclusion: The study identified that Type D personality and academic engagement affect self-directed learning ability of undergraduate students, one in a negative way, the other in a positive way. Educators and educational policy makers need to make efforts to include interventions and strategies that increase academic engagement and change negative psychological dispositions such as D-type personality in the undergraduate education curriculum.
