This paper presents incentive application strategies and delay prevention strategies as schematic approaches to improve time performance of highway construction contracts. This research recognizes the importance of improving time performance during highway construction. Strategic solutions of the most core issues on time performance incentive contracting are identified. The suggested incentive application strategies develop criteria for applying time classification to projects, for assigning project time classifications to contractors and designers, and for determining appropriate incentive values in A (cost) + B (time cost) and other performance incentive contracts. The suggested delay prevention strategies develop criteria for determining the appropriate subsurface utility engineering (SUE) level and to develop best practices for avoiding utility relocation delays. A schematic approach for each strategy is developed. This paper also introduces current incentive contracting practices in Florida. The researchers obtained the information from experienced persons in the highway construction industry, including key highway contractors, designers, and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) personnel. The major focus of this research is to develop strategies and suggest approaches to improve time performance of highway construction contracts. For future study, practical tools to facilitate implementation of the suggested strategies should be developed, so that the criteria, implementation processes, and best practices developed may contribute to the current industry-wide effort to improve time performance.

Purpose: This study empirically studied the effects of the perceived value of education and training on SME cooperative on job performance. Research design, data and methodology: From November 7 to 9, 2022, a survey was conducted targeting members and executives of SME cooperatives in their 20s and 60s across the country, and a total of 217 people were used for the final analysis. Verification of the research model was performed using SPSS & AMOS. Frequency analysis was conducted to examine the sample characteristics. Results: First, perceived value (functional value, service performance value, emotional value, convenience value) did not have a significant effect on organizational commitment. Second, perceived value (functional value, service performance value, emotional value, convenience value) were found to have a significant positive (+) effect on job satisfaction. Third, job satisfaction was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on organizational commitment. Fourth, organizational commitment was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on job performance. Fifth, job satisfaction was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on job performance. Conclusions: These results suggest that the perceived value of SME cooperative education and training can affect organizational commitment and job performance through job satisfaction, so it is necessary to strengthen online education and training to meet the emotional response of training subjects along.

This study was carried out to investigate the feasibility of the used frying oil as a bin-oil which was one of the alternative fuel for diesel engine. From tests of engine performance, it was shown that the bio-oil and blends and the sufficient potential as alternative fuels of diesel engine except NOx and Smoke emission.

Crosslinked corn starches were prepared to increase their molecular weights and their performance as a component of Compozil system was evaluated and compared with that of potato starches. It was shown that greater improvements in retention and strength properties could be achieved when crosslinded cationic corn starches rather than conventional cationic potato starches were used especially at high conductivity because of their molecular rigidity.

This study was carried out to investigate blowing performance for blowing type in space heater. This paper present that power requirement, static pressure, total pressure and static pressure efficiency were increased in proportion to air flow rate. And in the Korean space heater, side ward blowing type was effected than downward blowing type.

Airlines service is very important so as to overcome the rapid environmental changes of the air transportation market at home and abroad. Author investigates the impact of Determinants on the performance of airlines in all the world. Three variables of performance measurement were used : revenue, net profit, and passengers. Data analyses were based on service ranking, financial and passenger information of the world's top 50 Airlines collected from Business Traveller, World Air Transport Statistics and Airline Business. The findings of this study could be summarized as follows : Service ranking was not related to the airlines performances such as revenue, net profit, passengers and so fourth. But airlines size(employees, fleet size) was related to the airlines performances such as passengers and revenue passenger.

This paper describes how industry has responded to the environmental challenge. Benefits include compliance with environmental legislation; genuine reductions to environmental impact; sustainable improvements to profitability in the face of increased competitive pressure. National and international Standards for environmental management offer security and direction for a company wishing to improve environmental performance and coupled with a waste minimisation strategy many financial and environmental benefits can be achieved. Introduction of new technical skills, techniques and worker understanding to aid motivation is an essential component of such a strategy. Monitoring and targeting has a key role to play in the establishment of improved environmental performance.
