Brand Image : Analysis of Domestic Jeans Market through Benefit Segmentation and Perceptual Mapping (I) (혜택세분화와 인식도에 의한 진의류 브랜드 이미지 연구(I) -진의류에 대한 추구혜택을 기준으로한 소비자 세분화-)

  • The purpose of this study was 1) to find out the benefits sought factors of jeans and to segment the consumer market 2) to analyze Purchase behavior, brand loyalty, and demo- graphic characteristics of benefit segments. The subjects were 350 male and female university students who have purchased at least one of the nine jeans brands selected for this study. For statistical analysis, reliability test, percentage, factor analysis, cluster analysis, x2-test, and analysis of variance were used. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Benefits sought by consumer were found to include four different factors-brand value, individuality, fashionability, and practicality. 2. As a result of subdividing the consumers, three distinctive groups were formed on the basis of benefit factors-individuality.fashion oriented group, brand value oriented group, and practicality oriented group. 3. Brand value oriented group rated the highest in all of following variables number of jeans possessed and purchased annually, brand loyalty, average household income, average monthly allowences, and amount of money spent in purchasing clothes in each season. Individuality - fashion oriented group rated the second.

  • The Purpose of this study is to offer basic data for Whitening Cosmetics by investigating the Purchasing condition and Satisfaction in the Use of Whitening Cosmetics. The questionnaire was administered to 350 women in the Daejeon, Chungnam-do, Chungbuk-do and Daegu areas. The date was analysed by percentage, $X^2-test$ and frequency. The result of the survey can be summarized as follows: the importance of the development of functional cosmetics has increased, and among these it is possible to reaffirm the importance of whitening cosmetics. Furthermore, it can be seen that functional cosmetics are being used as a means of increasing opportunities for personal expression as a result of improved confidence and satisfaction.

  • This study intended to analyse the factors of brand image and brand image positioning of domestic 20’s female apparel(formal wear) among the consumer groups segmented by benefits sought in apparel and to provide marketing strategy of brand image. The subject of this study were 605 working women in their 20’s living in seoul, and the model sampling was done by convenienced sampling method based on the subjects age and occupation. Survey based on references and former studies was used. and statistical methods such as frequency, percentage, mean, factor analysis, preference regression were applied. The results of this study were as follows. 1. The factor structures of brand image were classified into symbolism/aesthetics, and practicality. 2. Perception, ideal preference vector, and brand preference of brand image were proven to be significantly different among the four segmented consumer groups.

  • The purpose of this research is to offer basic data for Jean Pants by investigating the wearing conditions and behavior of female university students in Shanghai of China. The questionnaire was administered to 426 female university students in Shanghai of China. The data was analysed by percentage, mean and frequency. The result of the survey can be summarized as follows: First, The university students women is found to be wearing the blue jean three to four days weekly and the best perferred blue jean is of the straight style with the tight covering the foot bottom. Second, when they purchase their jean pants, the factor of decision was fit and design style.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the utilization of Fashion Brands Web-site. This analysis was done by 6C Concept(Contents, Community, Commerce, Connection, Customizing, Communication) which was Internet Marketing Strategy. The review of previous studies and empirical investigations through the Internet were processed for this study. 151 fashion brands in department stores in Daegu, Korea were surveyed from January to February 2004. Data were analyzed by using frequency and percentage. Total 105 brands established their Web-Sites of Internet out of 151(69.5%) fashion brands. There were four characters on Contents, six characters on Connection and five characters on Communication. And there were a establishing rate of 38.1 percent on Online Community and 30.5 percent on Online Shopping Mall. On Customizing, 73.3 percent of brands had e-CRM systems.

  • The purpose of this was to investigate the differences in recognition of brand and advertisement image according to the life style segments of adolescents. The subjects selected for the final analysis were 613 female high school students whoe were residents in Seoul Pusan and Taejeon. The statistics used for data analysis were factor analysis one-way ANOVA Duncan's multiple range test paired t-test frequency distribution and percentage by the SPSS program The results of this study were as follows : 1. The life style of adolescents wee classified into five groups : Sports Uninterest group Friend Preference/Fashion Uninterest group Sports Preference/Home Oriented group Fashion Interest group and Confidence group. 2, The brand image and advertisement image recognition didn's correspond in general 3. The brand image and advertisement image recognition were significantly different among five groups of life style. The Confidence group and Friend Preference/ Fashion Uninterest group recognized brand image and advertisement image lower than the other groups.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the service and product perceptions' dimensions for fashion retail sites and to identify the service and product perceptions' dimensions influencing consumers' satisfaction and purchasing behavioral intentions for fashion retail sites. A set of self-administered questionnaires were e-mailed to an internet Research Panel consisting of members who had purchased fashion products or visited fashion retail sites. 799 questionnaires were analysed using frequency, percentage, exploratory factor analysis. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, stepwise regression analysis utilizing SPSS 10.0. The service perception dimensions of fashion retail sites had reliability, convenience, incentive, responsiveness and tangibility. Online fashion product perception dimensions were product variety and product value. Consumer satisfaction was influenced by reliability, product variety, product value, convenience, incentive and responsiveness. Consumer satisfaction had a direct impact on purchasing behavioral intentions of fashion retail sites.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide for the basic data useful to the knitwear size standards for the effective production. For this purpose, knit promotions that product knitwear for 20 age $\sim$ 30 middle age women were sampled to survey their condition of the size designation and basic product size of knitwear, and their directors were surveyed through direct interviews. Data is processed by a computer(SPSS) and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean and mode. The results of this study are as follows. 1. Size designation and bodysize of knitwear are not standardized. 2. Knit promotions that don't mark bodysize on the size designation label are not a few. 3. Cardigan's sizes except for a few part are equal to round/pola T-shirt's sizes or are large more than those.

  • Eldery generation is a strategic purchasing consumer group in domestic fashion market for the future. The thesis of this study is that identifies needs and desires of eldery women by researching clothes purchasing behaviors and clothes selection standards. For the study, a questionnaire was used as a method of mearsurement and the eldery women in Seoul and Kyonggi were selected as a sample. Data was processed by SPSS $PC^+$ program and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, $x^2$-test and t-test. As a result of this study, clothes purchasing behaviors and clothes selection standards of eldery women can be recognized in related to age and others. A based on the results, this study is expected to assist that marketers can establish effective marketing strategy for the silver fashion business.

The Influence of the Benefits Sought of Herbal Cosmetics on Brand Choice (한방화장품 추구혜택이 브랜드 선택에 미치는 영향)

  • The aims of this study were to identify benefits sought for herbal cosmetics and its significance in influencing consumers' attitude and brand choice. A questionnaire was distributed to 900 women between 20 and 50 years old who had purchased herbal cosmetics from Nov. 6, 2006 to Dec. 15, 2006. SPSS 12.0 package was used for data analysis. Factor analysis, $X^2$-test, frequency, percentage, multiple regression analysis were utilized. The results were as follows: 1. The benefits that consumer was seeking from herbal cosmetics could be classified into 9 dimensions; special function, brand, nutritional reinforcement, economy, scarcity, feeling, fragrance, fashion and skin fitness. 2. All of the above benefits sought except economy and fashion had positive impact on consumers' attitude of herbal cosmetics. 3. There was a correlation between types of benefits sought by consumers and their brand selection.
