수술에 사용하는 생리식염수의 오염수준 변화 (A Study on the Contamination of Saline Used in the Operation)

  • Post-operative wound infections have been the serious problems in nursing care in the operating room and appear to be strongly related to the infection occurring during the operation. The purpose of this study is to identify the level of contamination in saline used in the operation and also examine the correlation between the contaminated saline and the length of the operation, and unclean atmospheric factor. Subjects for this study include 13 cases of operation performed at the operative theatre of a hospital in Seoul area. Test samples and related data were collected from this medical facility between Oct. 6 through Dec. 10, 1994 by the author and anurse who worked in the operating room. For the study, multiple batches of saline sample were collected at the various time intervals duringthe operation and filtered through the membrane filters. Viable microorganisms retained on the filters were cultured on the appropriate culture media and the levels of existing cells in saline were enumerated according to Koch's method. In the analyses of the data, Pearson's correlation coefficient was obtained for the examination of relationship between the length of operation and numbers of microorganisms existing in saline and for the comparison of the differences in numbers if microrganisms in saline sample collected at the various operative stages, e. g. pre-incision, excision and skin suturing stages, ANOVA and Scheff Tests were performed. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) The lenth of the operation and numbers of microorganisms in the saline used in the operation appeared to be significantly correlated (r=0.5467, P<0,001). 2) In case of saline exposed to air, but not used in the operation, the length of exposure to the air and the numbers of microorganisms present in saline also showed an apparent correlation(r=0.5087, P<0. 001). 3) The frequencies of occurrence of microorganisms in saline used in the operation and in saline exposed only to the air in the given time showed significant differences(t=3.73, p=.0000). 4) In case of saline used in the operation, there is significant differences in its numbers of contained microorganisms between the operative stages ; pre-incision, excision, and skin suture (F=17.7500, p=.0000). 5) In case of saline exposed only to the air in the given time, there is significant differences in its numbers of contained microorganisms between the operative stages . pre-incision, excision, and skin suture(F=6.3807, p=.00031).

일부 전문대 학생들의 자아존중감, 의사소통능력, 공감능력에 관한 연구 (Study on Self-esteem, Communication Skills, and Empathy in Junior College Students)

  • 본 연구는 전문대 학생들의 자아존중감, 의사소통능력, 공감능력과 변수들 간의 상관관계 및 자아존중감과 의사소통능력이 공감능력에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 대상자는 일 전문대 학생 253명이었고, 설문지를 이용하여 2019년 3월 11일부터 3월 21일까지 자료를 수집하였다. SPSS/WIN 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 수집된 자료의 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson 상관계수, 다중회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 자아존중감은 계열(F=3.816, p<.05), 경제수준(F=7.960, p<.001), 가족관계(F=11.984, p<.001), 전공만족도(F=6.800, p<.001)에 따라, 의사소통능력은 계열(F=3.097, p<.05), 가족관계(F=13.642, p<.001), 전공만족도(F=3.323, p<.05)에 따라, 공감능력은 성별(t=4.130, p<.001), 학년(t=2.049, p<.05), 계열(F=7.392, p<.001) 종교(t=2.507, p<.05)에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 대상자의 자아존중감과 의사소통능력(r=.422, p<.001), 자아존중감과 공감능력(r=.159, p<.05), 의사소통능력과 공감능력(r=.430, p<.001) 간에는 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 공감능력에 영향을 미치는 변수는 의사소통능력(${\beta}=.39$, p<.001)과 성별(${\beta}=.18$, p<.01)로서 공감능력을 27.1% 설명하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 전문대 학생들의 공감능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 성별에 따라 의사소통능력 배양에 효과적인 프로그램을 개발하여 이를 지속적으로 적용해 나가야 할 것이다.

초등수학영재의 수학 창의적 문제해결력과 메타인지와의 관계 (The Relationship between Mathematically Gifted Elementary Students' Math Creative Problem Solving Ability and Metacognition)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 초등수학영재의 수학 창의적 문제해결력과 메타인지와의 관계, 수학 창의적 문제해결력에 대한 메타인지 구성 요소별 영향력을 밝혀 수학 창의적 문제해결력을 향상시키기 위한 교수 방법으로서 메타인지적 접근에 대한 기초 정보를 제공하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 광역시 소재 대학교 영재교육원의 5학년 초등수학영재 40명과 초등학교 영재학급의 5학년 초등수학영재 40명으로 총 80명이다. 연구결과 초등수학영재 집단 안에서도 수학 창의적 문제해결력과 메타인지의 개인차가 크게 나타났으며 수학 창의적 문제해결력과 메타인지는 유의미한 상관 관계를 보였다. 또한 수학 창의적 문제해결력 전체에 상대적으로 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 메타인지 구성요소는 메타 인지적 지식으로 나타났고, 수학 창의적 문제해결력 중 유창성과 독창성 요소에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 메타인지 구성요소는 메타인지적 지식이며, 융통성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 메타인지적 구성요소는 메타인지적 자기조정으로 나타났다. 메타인지적 경험은 상대적으로 적은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 수학 창의적 문제해결력과 메타인지와의 관련성을 고려하여 초등수학영재의 창의적 문제해결력을 높일 수 있는 메타인지적 접근을 기반으로 한 구체적인 교육과정과 수학영재 교육 프로그램이 개발되어야 함을 시사하는 것이라 볼 수 있다.

치과위생사의 감정노동이 직무스트레스와 불안, 수면에 미치는 영향 (The effects of emotional labor of dental hygienist on the job stress, anxiety and sleep)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to identify the relationship between emotional labor and occupational stress of the dental hygienists, and the effects of emotional labor on their occupational stress and health problems including depression, anxiety and sleep. Methods: The survey was conducted using the questionnaires about dental hygienists' working in medical institutions in Busan, Gyeongsangnam-do from August 19th and October 7th, 2016. Total of 225 participants were selected for data analyses. Frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis, and regression analysis were conducted using SPSS Windows ver. 21.0 program(SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL. USA). Results: The analysis of the factors affecting emotional labor, occupational stress, anxiety, and sleep by participants' characteristics showed that those with higher education level, work position and annual salary had higher emotional labor. In addition, participants who worked 5 days every other week and were responsible for patient consultation had higher emotional labor. The analysis of correlations among emotional labor occupational stress, anxiety, and sleep showed positive correlations between emotional experience and emotional expression, occupational stress and emotional expression, and anxiety and emotional expression. On the other hand, negative correlation was found between anxiety and emotional experience. Regression analysis was conducted to examine the effect of emotional labor on job stress. Emotional labor was a factor affecting job stress and anxiety. Conclusions: In order to improve emotional control and vulnerability to stress among dental hygienists, intra-organizational training opportunities and mental health care strategies are needed. Additional broad-based studies are required to identify the factors affecting the occupational stress and emotional labor and to develop relevant intervention measures.

임상간호사의 인성, 회복탄력성이 행복지수에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Clinical Nurses' Personality and Resilience on Happiness Index)

  • 본 연구는 간호사의 인성, 회복탄력성, 행복지수 간의 관계를 분석하고 일반적 특성과 인성, 회복탄력성 정도가 간호사의 행복지수에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 실시되었다. 2019년 5월 1일부터 15일까지 P-광역시와 K-지역에 위치한 10개 병원의 임상 간호사 307명에게 자기보고 설문지를 배부하여 수집하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS Statistics 24.0 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관관계, 다중회귀분석을 하였다. 연구결과 간호사의 인성정도는 3.67, 회복탄력성 3.28점, 행복지수 3.28점이었다. 일반적 특성에 따른 행복지수 정도는 실무경력이 높을수록, 근무형태, 여가활동에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 행복지수는 인성과 회복탄력성간에 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 특히 행복지수에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변수는 실무경력 '1-5년 미만'(${\beta}=-.41$), '10년 이상'(${\beta}=-.39$) '5-10년 미만'(${\beta}=-.34$), 회복탄력성(${\beta}=.35$), 인성(${\beta}=.29$), 교대근무(${\beta}=.12$), 여가활동(${\beta}=.10$) 순이었고, 설명력은 41%였다. 결론적으로 간호사의 행복지수를 올리기 위해 간호사 경력관리 및 근무형태관리, 인성함량 교육, 회복탄력성 증진 프로그램과 여가활동을 즐길 수 있는 지원 정책이 요구된다.

간호생산성에 관한 연구: 관련변수의 검증을 중심으로 (A Study of variables Related to Nursing Productivity)

  • The objective of the study is to explore the relationships between the variables of nursing productivity on the framework of system del in the tertiary university based care hospital in Korea. Productivity is basically defined as the relation-ship between inputs and outputs. Under the proposition that the nursing unit is a system that produces nursing care output using personal and material resources through the nursing intervention and nursing care management. And this major conception of nursing productivity system comproises input, process and output and feed-back. These categorized variables are essential parts to produce desirable and meaningful out-put. While nursing personnel from head nurse to staff nurses cooperate with each other, the head nurse directs her subordinates to achieve the goal of nursing care unit. In this procedure, the head nurse uses the leadership of authority and benevolence. Meantime nursing productivity will be greatly influenced by environment and surrounding organizational structures, and by also the operational objectives, the policy and standards of procedures. For the study of nursing productivity one sample hospital with 15 general nursing care units was selected. Research data were collected for 3 weeks from May 31 to June 20 in 1993. Input variables were measured in terms of both the served and the server. And patient classification scores were measured drily by degree of nursing care needs that indicated patent case-mix. And also nurses' educational period for profession and clinical experience and the score of nurses' personality were measured as producer input variables by the questionnaires. The process varialbes act necessarily on leading input resources and result in desirable nursing outputs. Thus the head nurse's leadership perceived by her followers is defined as process variable. The output variables were defined as length of stay, average nursing care hours per patient a day the score of quality of nursing care, the score of patient satisfaction, the score of nurse's job satis-faction. The nursing unit was the basis of analysis, and various statistical analyses were used : Reliability analysis(Cronbach's alpha) for 5 measurement tools and Pearson-correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and canonical correlation analysis for the test of the relationship among the variables. The results were as follows : 1. Significant positive relationship between the score of patient classification and length of stay was found(r=.6095, p.008). 2. Regression coefficient between the score of patient classification and length of stay was significant (β=.6245, p=.0128), and variance explained was 39%. 3. Significant positive relationship between nurses’ educational period and length of stay was found(r=-.4546, p=.044). 5. Regression coefficient between nurses' educational period and the score of quality of nursing care was significant (β=.5600, p=.029), and variance explained was 31.4%. 6. Significant positive relationship between the score of head nurse's leadership of authoritic characteristics and the length of stay was found (r=.5869, p=.011). 7. Significant negative relationship between the score of head nurse's leadership of benevolent characteristics and average nursing care hours was found(r=-.4578, p=.043). 8. Regression coefficient between the score of head nurse's leadership of benevolent characteristics and average nursing care hours was significant(β=-.6912, p=.0043), variance explained was 47.8%. 9. Significant positive relationship between the score of the head nurse's leadership of benevolent characteristics and the score of nurses' job satis-faction was found(r=.4499, p=050). 10. A significant canonical correlation was found between the group of the independent variables consisted of the score of the nurses' personality, the score of the head nurse's leadership of authoritic characteristics and the group of the dependent variables consisted of the length of stay, average nursing care hours(Rc²=.4771, p=.041). Through these results, the assumed relationships between input variables, process variable, output variables were partly supported. In addition it is also considered necessary that-further study on the relationships between nurses' personality and nurses' educational period, between nurses' clinical experience including skill level and output variables in many research samples should be made.

식물군락구조와 사회연결망분석을 통한 식물사회네트워크 분석 - 무등산국립공원을 대상으로 - (The Plants Social Network through the Analysis of the Plant Community Structure and the Social Network - Conducted in Mudeungsan National Park -)

  • 환경과 식물, 식물과 식물 간의 관계에 초점을 맞추어 식물사회를 이해하기 위해 식물사회학적 방법과 사회연결망 분석을 결합한 식물사회네트워크 분석이 연구되고 있다. 식물사회네트워크는 다양한 환경에서의 식물사회 분석과 기존의 종간결합분석 방법과 비교가 필요하다. 본 연구는 무등산국립공원을 대상으로 식생구조분석을 실시하고 기존의 종간결합분석과 식물사회네트워크를 비교 하였다. 식생조사를 위해 옛길 2구간을 대상으로 60개 조사구를 설치하여 매목조사를 실시하였다. TWINSPAN과 DCA 분석결과 60개 조사구는 해발고 800m를 기준으로 졸참나무-소나무군락(군락 I), 신갈나무군락(군락 II)으로 나누어졌다. 출현빈도 30%이상인 수종 간 상관관계분석과 DCA분석을 실시한 후 각 군락별 주요수종을 중심으로 결과를 비교하였는데, 졸참나무와 소나무, 신갈나무는 각각 -0.450**, -0.375**로 높은 부(-)의 상관관계를 가지고 있었으며, DCA에서도 1축을 따라 졸참나무와 소나무는 가까이, 신갈나무와는 멀리 배치된 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 식물사회네트워크분석을 위해 40개 조사구를 추가하여 100개 조사구에 출현수종을 조사하였다. 네트워크 구조 분석결과, 378개의 연결선이 나타났고, 한 수종 당 평균 6종과 결합을 가졌다. 밀도는 0.097, 지름은 7, 평균 경로거리는 2.788로 나타났다. 식물사회네트워크 분석은 기존 종간결합분석과 비교하였을 때 결과가 유사하게 나타났으며, 기존의 분석법보다 많은 양의 데이터 분석이 가능하고 식물사회 구조 관찰에 용이했다.

보건교사의 소명의식이 학교조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Calling on School Organizational Commitment of School Health Nurses)

  • 최근 신종감염병의 등장 및 교육환경의 변화 등으로 학령기 학생들의 건강문제가 다양해지면서 보건교사의 역할은 더욱 확대되고 중요해지고 있다. 본 연구는 보건교사의 소명의식이 학교조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 파악함으로서 보건교사의 학교조직몰입을 증진시키기 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위함이다. 연구의 대상자는 경기지역에 근무하고 있는 초등학교, 중학교, 고등학교 보건교사로서 본 연구의 목적을 이해하고 연구참여에 자발적으로 동의한 143명이다. 자료수집은 보건교사 대상 직무연수를 진행하는 한국교총 종합연수원에 연구자가 직접 방문하여 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 23.0 통계프로그램을 통해 백분율, 평균 및 표준편차, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient와 simple regression analysis로 분석하였다. 분석결과 보건교사의 직무몰입에 영향을 미치는 요인은 소명의식의 하위요인 중 목적·의미(β=.28, p=.011)가 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 학급수(β=-.20, p=.006)의 경우 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 요인들의 설명력은 30.7%였다. 이에 보건교사의 학교조직몰입을 증진시키기 위해서는 목적·의미 증진시키고 학급수를 낮추는 중재방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

산욕기 초산모의 어머니 역할획득에 관한 연구 (Maternal Role Attainment of Primiparous During the Postpartum Period)

  • This study was undertaken to identify the levels and affecting factors of the maternal role attainment(MRA) in the primipara during the postpartum period. The healthy ninety primiparous from the one university hospital and two local clinics in KwangJu city were selected and two Semantic Differential Scales (SD-Myself as Mothers, SD-My Baby) and the Pharis Self Confidence Scale were used in this study. Questionnaires were distributed at the 3rd days and the 4-6 weeks of the primiparous not showing any complication after normal delivery. The data collected were analysed statistically using t-test, Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and ANOVA. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1) On the 3rd day after the delivery, the scores of SD-myself as mother, SD-baby and Pharis Self Confidence were 70.6 points, 73.6 points and 78.6 points, respectively, showing the low level of MRA. 2) On the 4-6 weeks after delivery, the score of SD-myself as mother, SD-baby and Pharis Self Confidence were 72.8 points, 77.9 points, and 86.9 points, respectively, indicating the moderate level of MRA. 3) The mean scores of the SD scale and the Pharis Self Confidence during the postpartum periods were higher than those of the 3rd days, showing the SD-myself as mother (t=-2.09, P<.05), SD-baby(t=-4.12, P<.001), Pharis Self Confidence(t=-6.59, P<.001), respectively. 4) Positive correlations (r=.24$\sim$.69) were shown in the concepts related to the MRA and the cognitive-motor skill components and cognitive-affective skill components of the MRA became harmonious over time. 5) The relationships between the score of the MRA and the demographic and obstetric variables were as follows ; a) the score of the MRA in the twenties was higher than those of the thirties. b) the group with higher educational background showed higher MRA socres than the group with lower one. c) those who wanted pregnancy sustenance had higher MRA scores than those who did not. d) the group that did think of festus-feature represented higher MRA scores than those who did not. e) the group of mothers who have the daughters showed higher MRA scores than those who have boys. It can be concluded from the results that the MRA in the primiparous increased gradually, and that the cognitive-motor skills and cognitive-affective skills became harmonious over time. The level of the MRA was affected partly by the mothers general, obstetrical variables. Following suggestion were made oil the basis of the present study ; a) The longitudinal study on the MRA is needed. b) Multivariate analyses should be done for the identification of the factors influcening on the MRA. c) Education program for primiparous mother should be designed and developed to improve the MRA.

Nutritional Quality and Variation of Meat and Bone Meal

  • Meat and bone meal is a valuable protein and mineral source in diets of production animals and contributes to the protein, energy and mineral component of diets. The aim of the present study was to more accurately characterise the apparent ileal amino acid digestibility of meat and bone meals produced in New Zealand and evaluate routine in vitro assays used in practise to measure meat and bone meal quality. A total of 94 commercial meat and bone meals from 25 New Zealand rendering plants over a two and a half year period were analysed for proximates, gross energy, gross amino acid content (incl. hydroxyproline, hydroxylysine and lanthionine), apparent ileal amino acid digestibility, pepsin nitrogen digestibility, protein solubility and bone content. The mean crude protein content of the 94 meat and bone meal samples was 56.8% with a range of >35% units and a coefficient of variation of 9.8%. The mean crude fat and ash content were 10.0 and 28.4% respectively. These latter components showed a large range (16 and 43%, respectively) with coefficients of variation above 22%. Amino acid digestibility between samples was highly variable with lysine and sulphur amino acids digestibility ranging between 45.8-89.0 and 38.2-85.5%, respectively. Pearson correlation coefficients are presented between crude protein content and individual gross amino acids, crude protein content and individual digestible amino acid content, and pepsin N digestibility and individual digestible amino acid content. There was a significant relationship between the digestible amino acid nitrogen content and the crude protein content while pepsin nitrogen digestibility was not correlated to ileal amino acid nitrogen digestibility (r=-0.06). Meat meals with a high protein content had relatively low hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine levels something that was attributed to the levels of collagen from bone. The data indicated that lanthionine (formed upon heat treatment of cysteine with a hydroprotein) is not a good indicator of the heat treatment employed to meat and bone meals. Step-wise multiple regression equations to predict the apparent digestible content of amino acids from rapid in vitro assays are presented. The most selected variables included ash and crude fat content. In general the equations derived for the essential amino acids had a higher degrees of fit (R2) compared to the non-essential amino acids. The R2 for the essential amino acids ranged from 0.43 for histidine and 0.68 for leucine. These equations provide a means of more rapidly estimating the apparent ileal digestible amino acid content (protein quality) of meat and bone meal using standard analyses.
