파킨슨병의 중증도에 따른 수면 장애 (Sleep Disturbances in Patients with Parkinson's Disease according to Disease Severity)

  • Background: Sleep-related disturbances and sleep disorders are common in Parkinson's disease (PD) and have a great impact on daily life of PD patients. This study was done to find the sleep characteristics and sleep disturbing factors in PD patients according to disease severity through clinical interview and polysomnographic (PSG) study. Methods: Fifty patients with PD (22 males, age $60.6{\pm}6.4$, Hoehn and Yahr (HY) stage $2.7{\pm}1.0$) were recruited and thoroughly interviewed about their sleep. PSG was performed on the patients taking routine antiparkinsonian medications. Patients were grouped into mild and moderate/severe group according to HY stage, and the results were compared between each group. Results: Ninety-four percent of total patients had one or more sleep-related disturbances based on the interview or PSG. On interview, the moderate/severe group complained more insomnia and REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) than mild group. In PSG findings, the moderate/severe group showed lower sleep efficiency, longer sleep latency, REM sleep latency, waking time after sleep onset, and higher prevalence of RBD. Conclusions: In this study, most patients with PD had sleep disturbances. Clinical interview and PSG findings revealed deterioration of sleep quality along the disease severity. Our results suggest that sleep disturbances in PD patients are prevalent and warrant clinical attention, especially to the patients with advanced disease.

  • Designer must cope with frequent changes in geometric information of automobile suspension module in the early stage of the design process. The authors developed the PSG(Parametric Set Generator) to create parametric models and to change geometric information concerning the lower arm, which is one of the important parts of the automobile suspension module. CAD models provided from the PSG can be utilized to assess fatigue durability via the FE modeling support system. This system provides easy and fast FE-modeling for a static and durability analysis of the lower arm. The PSG and the FE modeling support system are integrated using the e-engineering framework based on the JADE platform. In this study, a durability analysis as a case study for the lower arm manufactured at H company is performed, and the efficiency obtained is discussed.

  • In this study, phosphosilicate glass(PSG) film was deposited by the oxidation of phosphine (PH3) and silane(SiH4) in nitrogen ambient with a conventional conveyerized Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition(APCVD)system and phosphorus concentration is measured by using FT-IR technique. The flow characteirstics and etch rate variations ofthe films, depending on phosphorus concentrations, are investigated. Special emphasis is focused on the yield variations of NMOS-based 256K DRAM with 1.2\ulcorner metallization spacing with increasing phosphorus concentrations. As a result, the data indicates that the fairly good yield can be obtained within the range of between 8 and 10wt% phosphorus concentration, which result in a slope of flow within 45\ulcorner10\ulcorner The analysi of failure mechanism is also accompanied.

  • A chromogenic mimic of phenlyalanyl-dipeptide, L-phenylalanyl-L-2-sulfanilylglycine (PSG), was synthesized and examined for its usability in leucine aminopeptidase (LAP) assay. The enzyme activity was easily determined by measuring the amount of diazotized adduct of sulfanilic acid released upon hydrolysis of PSG ($\varepsilon^{420}$=18,000/M/cm). Under the experimental conditions employed, PSG showed a Km of 0.063 mM and a Kcat of 1683/min, assessable less than 0.1 $\mu$ g of LAP per milliliter. And the presence of aminopeptidase M (APM) was suggested to be negligible in LAP assay. This novel assay can circumvent the occasional yellow background in biological systems, i.e., serums, etc..

  • Phase-locked loops (PLLs) are among the most important mixed-signal building blocks of modern communication and control circuits, where they are used for frequency and phase synchronization, modulation, and demodulation as well as frequency synthesis. The growing popularity of PLLs has increased the need to test these devices during prototyping and production. The problem of distinguishing and classifying the responses of analog integrated circuits containing catastrophic faults has aroused recent interest. This is because most analog and mixed signal circuits are tested by their functionality, which is both time consuming and expensive. The problem is made more difficult when parametric variations are taken into account. Hence, statistical methods and techniques can be employed to automate fault classification. As a possible solution, we use the back propagation neural network (BPNN) to classify the faults in the designed charge-pump PLL. In order to classify the faults, the BPNN was trained with various training algorithms and their performance for the test structure was analyzed. The proposed method of fault classification gave fault coverage of 99.58%.

Electromigration Characteristics in PSG/SiO$_2$ Passivated Al-l%Si Thin Film Interconnections

  • Recent ULSI and multilevel structure trends in microelectronic devices minimize the line width down to a quarter micron and below, which results in the high current densities in thin film interconnections. Under high current densities, an EM(electromigration) induced failure becomes one of the critical problems in a microelectronic device. This study is to improve thin film interconnection materials by investigating the EM characteristics in PSG(phosphosilicate glass)/SiO$_2$ passivated Al-l%Si thin film interconnections. Straight line patterns, wide and narrow link type patterns, and meander type patterns, etc. were fabricated by a standard photholithography process. The main results are as follows. The current crowding effects result in the decrease of the lifetime in thin film interconnections. The electric field effects accelerate the decrease of lifetime in the double-layered thin film interconnections. The lifetime of interconnections also depends upon the current conditions of P.D.C.(pulsed direct current) frequencies applied at the same duty factor.

  • Apart from strength properties, durability, toughness and workability are also important criteria in defining the performance of a concrete structure. Hence "High Performance Concrete (HPC)" is introduced. It is different from high strength concrete and can have various applications. In this paper, the properties (Mechanical and Durability) of High Performance Concrete blended with bagasse ash at 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% are studied. However, it is difficult to analyze the performance based on different properties obtained from different experiments. Hence it is necessary to combine all the criteria/properties into a single value to obtain a result by a technique called Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).It is an effective tool for dealing with complex decision making, and may aid the decision maker to set priorities and make the best decision. In addition, the AHP incorporates a useful technique for checking the consistency of the decision maker?s evaluations, thus reducing the bias in the decision making process.

  • This paper is concerned by the controllability results of impulsive neutral stochastic functional integrodifferential equations (INSFIDEs) driven by fractional Brownian motion with infinite delay in a real separable Hilbert space. The controllability results are obtained using stochastic analysis, Krasnoselkii fixed point method and the theory of resolvent operator in the sense of Grimmer. A practical example is provided to illustrate the viability of the abstract result of this work.

MEMS 공정을 위한 여러 종류의 산화막의 잔류응력 제거 공정 (Reduction of the residual stress of various oxide films for MEMS structure fabrication)

  • 본 논문에서는 MEMS 공정에 많이 사용되는 tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) 산화막, low temperature oxide (LTO), 7 wt%, 10 wt% phosphosilicate glass (PSG)의 잔류응력을 Euler beam과 bent-beam strain sensor를 제작하여 측정하였다. 이러한 산화막 잔류응력 측정 구조물을 만들기 위해 다결정실리콘을 희생층으로 사용하였으며 $XeF_2$를 이용하여 희생층 식각을 하였다. 먼저 각 산화막의 증착 당시 잔류응력을 측정한 후 $500^{\circ}C$에서 $800^{\circ}C$까지 질소분위기에서 1 시간 동안 열처리하였다. 또 표면미세가공에서 가장 많이 사용되는 $585^{\circ}C$, $625^{\circ}C$ 다결정실리콘 증착 조건에서 열처리하여 산화막의 잔류응력 변화를 측정하였다. 측정 결과 TEOS와 LTO, 7 wt% PSG는 $600^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 압축잔류응력이 줄어들다가 그 이상에서 다시 커지는 반면에 phosphorus 농도가 높은 10 wt% PSG의 경우는 $500^{\circ}C$이상에서 압축잔류응력이 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 또 7 wt% PSG가 $585^{\circ}C$ 다결정실리콘 증착 시 가장 작은 잔류응력을 나타내었다.

  • This presentation highlights work from the authors' laboratories on the various kinds of oxide optical materials, mainly luminescence and pigment materials with different forms (powder, core-shell structures, thin film and patterning) prepared by the Pechini-type sol-gel (PSG) process. The PSG process which uses the common metal salts (nitrates, acetates, chlorides etc) as precursors and citric acid (CA) as chelating ligands of metal ions and polyhydroxy alcohol (such as ethylene glycol or poly ethylene glycol) as cross-linking agent to form a polymeric resin on molecular level, allowing the preparation of many forms of luminescent materials.
