On the other hand, there were regional variations. The physical therapists in this field were likely to have limitations or restrictions of professional aquatic therapy education. The subjects showed a tendency for a career interruption during their fifth working year. The overall job satisfaction on aquatic therapy of physical therapists was high (managers: 94.3%, staff: 95.3%, p=0.276), but the work intensity was higher than the other parts of physical therapy and the relative reward was comparatively low (managers: 60.3%, staff: 66.3%, p=0.865). Conclusion: Based on this study, the current working conditions regarding aquatic therapy by physical therapists were assessed. These results will help enhance aquatic therapy and/or in aquatic therapy facilitation.

Methods : The model contains seven job relating determinants and two intervening variables as follows: i) job relating variables of professional status, task requirements, pay, physician-nurse interaction, nurse-nurse interaction, organizational policies, and autonomy, ii) intervening variables of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Data were collected from 205 nurses in two general hospitals owned by one foundation located in Pusan, Korea, using a structured and self-administered questionnaire. Results : The major results were as follows: First, the results of ANOVA on WPS by personal characteristics showed a statistically significant relationships between WPS and hierarchical orders(p<.01) ana tenure(p<.10). Comparing with the lower orders and shorter tenure, the higher orders and the longer tenure showed better WPS. Second, the results of simple correlation analysis between WPS and determinants and intervening variables showed the following variables, in order of importance, were statistically significant(p<.01): work satisfaction(+), organizational commitment(+), task requirements(+), nurse-interaction(+), professional status(+), physician-nurse interaction(+). Third, the results of path analysis showed that two intervening variables of job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and three determinants of task requirements, professional status, and nurse-nurse interaction had a positively significant direct effect to WPS. Conclusion : The results suggest that nurses who are more satisfied with task requirements, status, nurse-nurse interaction, overall job satisfaction, and organizational commitment, will behave in ways that patients find more satisfied.

  • This study investigated the differences in emotional labor, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment by job type, and the effect of emotional labor on job satisfaction and organizational commitment for public library employees. Using SPSS 27.0, the survey contents were performed frequency analysis, factor analysis, validity analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the study, it was found that the librarianship experienced more emotional labor than non-librarians, and the frequency of emotional labor increased depending on whether or not the civil service was included, and had a negative effect on overall job satisfaction and job condition satisfaction. However, in the case of psychological response to job satisfaction, library data work was found to be high. In terms of user service, emotional labor that occurs in librarians' work has two sides, which can have both positive and negative effects on the librarian's job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Therefore, practical measures to reduce the frequency and emotional dissonance of emotional labor and increase the diversity of emotional labor should be included in the user response manual and future mental health promotion program development.

  • Objectives : Psychiatric staffs may experience excessive work stress, burnout, and reduced job satisfaction in clinical settings. This can increase chances of diminishing their overall working efficiency or having difficulty managing their own mental health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of group mindfulness-based cognitive therapy(MBCT) on job stress, burnout, self-efficacy, resilience, and job satisfaction. Methods : Twenty eight psychiatric staffs who agreed to participate in the study were included. Self-report questionnaires were used to measure job stress, burnout, resilience, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction. To examine the effects of group MBCT, the scores were compared before and after MBCT. Results : Work stress and burnout scale scores were significantly decreased after group MBCT. Resilience, job satisfaction, and self-efficacy scale scores were significantly increased after group MBCT. Conclusions : In the current study, group MBCT for psychiatric staffs helped to reduce their work stress and burnout, and, as well, helped to improve resilience, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction. This suggests that, in mental health treatment settings, psychiatric staffs can improve their mental health through group MBCT. Improving mental health of psychiatric staff may also have a positive impact on their patients.

Methods: The participants in this study were 218 nurses from two university hospitals. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires and were analyzed using SPSS Statistics/WIN 21.0, including descriptive statistics, x2 test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffeé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: For comprehensive nursing care service ward nurses, the significant influencing factors on job satisfaction were age (β=-.37, p=.041), marital status (β=.35, p=.001), critical thinking disposition (β=.29, p=.003), and communicative competence (β=.28, p=.002) with the explanatory power was 39.0% (F=12.00, p<.001). On the other hand, for general ward nurses, the significant influencing factors on job satisfaction were advanced degree (β=.29, p=.047), critical thinking disposition (β=.23, p=.040), and communicative competence (β=.42, p<.001) with the explanatory power was 33.0% (F=11.78, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest the importance of developing and applying education programs to improve critical thinking disposition and communicative competence of nurses. This would enhance the comprehensive nursing service and increase overall nursing manpower resources. In addition, further studies are needed to improve nursing work environments and to develop strategies for enhancing preparedness towards delegation, which would increase the job satisfaction of nurses in the comprehensive nursing care service wards.

The subjects were 162 clinical nurses at 2 small and medium-sized hospitals in K and B cities. The data were collected from February 1st throughout 28th, 2013. The collected data were analyzed using the SAS program through $x^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. There was a negative correlation between high fatigue level and job satisfaction and colleagues of its subgroups (r=-0.29, p=.0214; r=-0.29, p=.0239), positive correlation it and turnover intention(r=0.33, p=.0089). Also there was a negative correlation between promotion and overall job satisfaction subgroup of job satisfaction and turnover intention(r=-0.17, p=.0268; r=-0.19, p=.0144). Therefore nurse managers are in need of applying the organizational management system which is considered the relationship with my colleagues at work, promotion and overall job satisfaction etc. to prevent and decrease fatigue induced factors and turnover intentions.
