This paper is concerned with the development of remote vibration measurement system using the internet. Recently, various techniques are developed based on the advance of the internet environment. In this study, we developed the remote vibration measurement system using the internet server programming technique, the client programming technique, the GPIB programming, and the A/D, D/A programming techniques. Hence, we can control the measurement devices remotely. The feasibility of the system is validated using the experimental setup. The output of the D/A is connected to the small exciter and the piezoceramic sensor is connected to the A/D port. By sending out the exciting signal to the structure, we can collect the response. The experiment shows that the proposed idea works well. Another experiment consists of the function generator and the low-pass filter circuit. The wave form, amplitude, and the frequency of the function generator is controlled by the GPIB program and the output of the circuit is collected by the A/D port. The output is then displayed in HTML format.

In this paper, a new method of statistically evaluating an output response probability distribution of a memory type non-linear system is practically derived based on a zero-memory type non-linear equivalent system. That is, first, the objective system is approximately and functionally separated into two functional parts, i.e., a zero-memory type non-linear part and a memory type linear part according to the well-known Wiener's idea. A whole mathematical frame of the output probability distribution is evaluated in an approximate but generalized form, based on the equivalent zero-memory type non-linear part. The memory effects between the input and the output of the system are reflected in the statistical parameters and the expansion coefficients.
In this paper a neural network controller for achieving maximum power tracking as well as output voltage regulation, for a wind energy conversion system(WECS) employing a permanent magnet synchronous generator, is proposed. The permanent magnet generator (PMG) supplies a dc load via a bridge rectifier and two buck-boost converters. Adjusting the switching frequency of the first buck-boost converter achieves maximum power tracking. Adjusting the switching frequency of the second buck-boost converter allows output voltage regulation. The on-times of the switching devices of the two converters are supplied by the developed neural network(NN). The effect of sudden changes in wind speed ,and/or in reference voltage on the performance of the NN controller are explored. Simulation results showed the possibility of achieving maximum power tracking and output voltage regulation simultaneously with the developed neural network controller. The results proved also the fast response and robustness of the proposed control system.

Grinding process has unique characteristics compared with other machining processes. The cutting edges of the grinding wheel don't have uniformity and act differently on the workpiece at each grinding. The response surface analysis is one of various methods for optimizing and evaluating the process parameters to achieve the desired output. In this study, the effect of the grinding parameters on outcomes of the surface grinding was analyzed experimently. To predict the grinding outcomes and to select the grinding conditions before grinding, the second-order response surface models for the grinding force and the surface roughness were developed.

In this paper, SOA Current and Temperature Driver which consisted of LabVIEW programming part capable of current and temperature transient response pattern design, DAQ module for analog voltage in&out, and voltage to current converting chips has realized. The output current(possible to 3A) from the Driver to SOA was clearly constant without ripple and also showed no variance until 1mA unit for a long time operation. The temperature of TEC took several seconds to reach a set temperature, and were maintained stably within ${\pm}^0.1{\circ}C$ for several hours. The proposed Driver can replace the previous high cost SOA Drivers for wavelength swept lasers fully and provides the convenience of transient response design capability for current and temperature.
A portion of duodenum laid pancreatic duct opening were perfused continuously with physiological saline under urethane anesthesia in rats. The pancreatic amylase secretory response to caerulein was studied with autonomic blockers, such as phenoxybenzamine, dibenamine, phentolamine, hexamethonium, propranolol, atropine, and cyproheptadine. The pancreatic amylase output to caerulein, 7.5ng/kg i.v., was markedly increased and the value was approximately three times greater than control. The caerulein-stimulated pancreatic amylase secretion was significantly decreased by i.v. phenoxybenzamine and propranolol treatment, but not by phentolamine or dibenamine. Secretory response of pancreatic amylase to caerulein was not affected by i.v. atropine, hexamethonium or cyproheptadine. These result lead to the conclusion that phenoxybenzamine may inherently inhibit the secretory response of pancreatic amylase to caerulein, and this effect was not related with ${\alpha}-adrenergic$ receptor blocking action.

This paper provides an identification method for three-parameter models i.e. first order with dead time models and second order with dead time models. The proposed identification method is based on step response and can be easily implemented using digital microprocessors. The proposed method first identifies the order of the plant i.e. first order or second order from the behavior of the plant with constant input. After the order of the plant is determined, a test step input is applied to the system and the three parameters of the plant are obtained from the corresponding response of the plant. The output of the plant need not to be zero when the test signal is applied. The efficacy of proposed algorithms is verified through simulation and experiment.
As a method of obtaining pulse transfer function. transfer function of discrete-time from input-output data, there are method of obtaining unknown parameter of pulse transfer function from estimated impulse response before(1-3). There is no need to approximate to several meanings because of not being established algebraical relations between impulse response for estimation error and parameter of transfer function exactly. In this paper, I inquire the method[4] of obtaining the optimal pulse transfer function as a meaning of Hankel norm approximation from impulse response data and examine estimated property as computer simulation from this method.

This paper deals with the relationship between zeros and step response of the second and third order LTI (Linear Time Invariant) SISO (Single-Input and Single-Output) systems with complex poles. Although it has been known that the maximum number of local extrema is less than the number of zeros in the system with only real poles[8], some cases with complex poles are shown in this paper to have many local extrema. This paper proposes monotone nondecreasing conditions and describes the relationship between the transient response and the number of local extrema in step response with each region of zeros.
This paper deals with design method of the model following servo system in which optimal regulator probelm is used to design the controllers that make the step/ramp response of the plant be keptclose to a specified ideal step/ramp response of the model. The characteristics of this system is robust in the presence of the specified disturbances or the partameter perturbations of the plant. Especially, by direct feedforward compensator from the reference input the steady state offset of plant output response is excluded and the transient response is improved. Examples are give and the results of the design of the model follwing servo systems are verified by the computer simulation.
