진동하는 NACA 4412 에어포일 근접후류에서의 레이놀즈수 효과 1: 평균속도장 (Reynolds Number Effects on the Near-Wake of an Oscillating Naca 4412 Airfoil, Part 1 : Mean Velocity Field)

  • 진동하는 에어포일의 근접후류 특성을 조사하기 위한 실험적 연구가 수행되었다. NACA 4412에어포일은 1/4 시위 지점을 중심으로 조화적으로 피칭운동을 하고, 순간받음각이 +6$^{\circ}$에서 -6$^{\circ}$까지 진동하도록 하였다. 진동하는 에어포일의 근접후류에서의 평균속도를 측정하기 위하여 열선풍속계를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 자유류의 속도는 3.4, 12.4, 26.2 m/s이다. 이러한 자유류 속도에 따른 시위 레이놀즈수는 $R_N$=5.3${\times}10^4$, 1.9${\times}10^5$, 4.1${\times}10^5$이고, 무차원 진동수는 K=0.1이다. 레이놀즈수가 진동하는 에어포일의 근접후류에 미치는 영향을 나타내기 위하여 축방향 위상평균 속도분포를 제시하였다. 본 측정에서 모든 경우에 속도결손은 $R_N$=5.3${\times}10^4$인 경우에 아주 크고, $R_N$=1.9${\times}10^5$과 4.1${\times}10^5$인 경우에는 작다는 것을 관찰 할 수 있었다. 이와 같이 위상평균속도의 커다란 차이는 $R_N$=5.3${\times}10^4$과 1.9${\times}10^5$ 사이에 있다는 것을 관찰하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 진동하는 에어포일의 근접후류에서의 레이놀즈수의 임계값이 5.3${\times}10^4$에서 1.9${\times}10^5$ 범위에 존재한다는 것을 보여준다.

  • The flow induced by the oscillatory motion of a solid body is important in a number of practical problems. As the solid boundary oscillates harmonically, there is steady streaming motion invoked by the Reynolds stresses, which could cause extensive migration of the fluid during a period of fluid motion. We here analyzed the flow in a square cavity with an oscillating top wall for the parameters which make the time derivatives and the convective terms equally important in the entire cavity flow. The full Navier-Stokes equations are solved by the second-order time accurate Momentum Coupling Method which is devised by the authors. The particular numerical scheme does not need subiteration at each time step which is usually a required process to calculate the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. The effect of two parameters, the Reynolds number and the frequency parameter, on the oscillatory flow has been investigated.

부유기 OWC 챔버의 파중 운동해석 (A Study on the Floating OWC Chamber Motion in Waves)

  • The motion of a floating OWC chamber in waves is studied taking account of fluctuating air pressure in the air chamber. An atmospheric pressure drop occurs across the upper opening of the chamber which causes not only hydrodynamic but also pneumatic added mass and damping forces to the floating chamber. A velocity potential in the water due to the free surface oscillating pressure patch is added to the conventional radiation-diffraction potential problem. the potential problem inside the chamber is formulated by making use of the Green integral equation associated with the Rankine Green function wile the outer problem with the Kelvin Green function. The two integral equations are solved simultaneously by making use of a matching boundary condition at the lower opening of the chamber to the outer water region. The chamber motion in the frequency domain is calculated for various values of parameters related to the atmospheric pressure drop. The present methods can also be sued for the analysis of air-cushion vehicle motion as well as for the design of a floating OWC wave energy absorber.

Study on the Evaluation of Stability of Gel Structured Cosmetics

  • The stability of gel structured emulsion and the effect of polyols on it have been studied by rheological property and interfacial tension. In this paper, three types of gel structured emulsions were prepared by using three polyols respectively(glycerine for sample 1, 1.3 BG for sample 2, PG for sample 3). And both complex modulus($G^*$) and loss angle[$\delta$ = tan-1(G"/G')] of samples were investigated against oscillating shear stress and frequency($\omega$). The results show sample 1 is most highly consistent with oscillating shear stress. And the results were compared with those of accelerated tests concerning storage stability of gel structured emulsion. To correlate consistency of rheological property with storage stability, interfacial tension from which adsorption efficiency of surfactant(Octyldodecyl Ether) could be known was measured. Sample 1 showed the largest value of [$d{\gamma}/dIn_{Cconc. of surfactant}$] in Gibbs equation. In summary, the prediction of stability could be correctly made by the consistency of rheological property(G*,$\gamma$) of gel structured emulsion against oscillating shear stress and it could be supported by measuring interfacial tension. And polyol affected the value of [$d{\gamma}/dIn_{Cconc. of surfactant}$], consequently affected the stability.lity.

전기유변유체의 점탄성 특성에 관한연구 (Viscoelastic properties of electrorheological fluids)

  • 전기유변유체(electrorheological fluid : ERF)는 크기가 $10^{-6}m$정도를 가진 분극성이 강한 입자 분말을 유전유체속에 혼합하여 만든 콜로이드용액으로서 외부전기 장에 의하여 액체상태로부터 겔(gel)상태로 상태변환을 한다. 상태변환과정은 가역과정이며 $10^{-3}$초 정도의 빠른 시간내에 이루어진다. 본 논문에서는 주기적응력이나 주기적 변형이 가해지는 강제진동실험을 통하여 ERF의 점탄성 특성을 조사하였다. 점탄성은 복소수로서 실수부인 동적전단탄성율(storage shear modulus, G')과 허수부인 동적손실율(loss modulus, G")의 합으로 표현된다. 동적전단탄성율은 강제진동의 진폭과 주파수의 함수로 외부전기장에 의하여 크게 변화되었으나 손실계수(loss factor, ${\eta}=G"/G'$)는 진동의 진폭, 진동수 및 외부전기 장에 거의 독립적이었다. 실험(1)은 강제진동의 진폭을 고정하고 진동수를 변화하는 방법(frequency sweep)과 실험(2)는 진동 진폭을 변화시키는 방법(amplitude sweep)으로 실행했다. 본 실험에서는 cornstarch입자를 corn oil에 혼합한 것과 zeolite입자를 silicone oil에 흔합한 콜로이드 용액이 ERF로서 사용되었으며 인가된 전기장은 약$(1~3){\times}10^6V/m$의 직류전기장이 가하여졌다.기장이 가하여졌다.

Pseudo Relaxation-Oscillating 기법의 PWM 발생기를 이용한 저면적, 고효율 SMPS (A Low Area and High Efficiency SMPS with a PWM Generator Based on a Pseudo Relaxation-Oscillating Technique)

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 기법의 PWM 발생기를 이용한 저면적, 고효율 SMPS를 제안한다. 제안된 회로에서 PWM의 duty ratio는 pseudo relaxation-oscillation technique를 이용한 PWM 발생기의 내부 커패시터 전압 기울기를 제어하는 방식으로 결정된다. 기존의 SMPS들에 비해, 제안된 제어 방식은 loop bandwidth 보상을 위해 기존의 아날로그 제어방식의 SMPS에서 요구되는 필터회로나 디지털 제어방식의 SMPS에서 요구되는 디지털 compensator가 필요 없기 때문에 단순한 구조로 구성된다. 또한, 제안된 회로는 PWM 발생기의 내부 캐패시터 용량 변화를 통해 1MHz~10MHz까지 스위칭 주파수를 사용자가 선택할 수 있다. 시뮬레이션 수행결과 제안된 SMPS는 10MHz 스위칭 주파수를 선택했을 때 내부회로에서 소모되는 전류는 최대 2.7mA, 파워 Trail을 제외한 전체 시스템의 전류 소모는 15mA였다. 또한, 제안된 SMPS는 시뮬레이션으로 3.3V출력에서 9mV의 최대 리플 전압이 발생하였다. 본 논문에서는 동부하이텍 BCD $0.35{\mu}m$ 공정 파라미터를 이용한 시뮬레이션 및 칩 테스트를 통해 제안된 회로를 검증하였다.

진동경운(振動耕耘)에 관(關)한 기초연구(基礎硏究) -견인력(牽引力), 토오크, 소요동력(所要動力) 및 모멘트에 관(關)한 모형실험(模型實驗)- (Fundamental Study on Oscillating Tillage -Model Test on Draft Force, Torque, Power and Moment)

  • A laboratory model test was carried out with a newly designed model to figure out the vibration characteristics of the vibratory tillage tool according to the method of forced vibration, i.e., horizontally and vertically forced vibrations. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The reduction ratios of the draft force of the vibratory blade were 14.2-42.6% for the case where the vibration was forced parallel to the travelling direction of the blade, and 15-54.5% for the vertically forced vibration. And it was thought that the method of vertically forced vibration was preferable to the reduction of the draft force. 2. The ratio of the draft force of a vibratory blade to that of a static one could be represented as a function of V/At. It was found to be possible to reduce the draft force by taking a lower value of (V/Af) and this meant that the effictiveness of tillage practice using the vibratory system would be limited. 3. The torque to the main rotating shaft to vibrate the model blade increased frequency and amplitude. This tendency varied according to the physical properties of tested soil. In case of horizontally forced vibration, the torque was 8~34% less than in case of vertically forced vibration. 4. With the increase of frequency, the total power requirement increased linearly, and also the portion of oscillating power requirement in the total power tended to increase. The magnitude of the total power requirement was 1.4-13 times greater than that of a static one for the case of horizontal vibration, and 1.5-15 times greater for the case of vertical vibration. It was thought that the horizontal vibration of the blade was preferable to the vertical vibration in view of the power requirement. 5. A linearity was found between the amplitude of moment oscillogram and magnitude of oscillating acceleration. Only positive values of moment occurred when the blade was forced to vibrate vertically, but negative values occurred in rarity in the case of amplitude A3 when the blade was forced to vibrate horizontally.

상하동요하는 2차원 원주의 고유진동수 (Natural Frequency of 2-dimensional Heaving Circular Cylinder)

  • It is very well known that the natural frequency of an oscillating body on the free surface is determinable only after the added mass is given. However, it is hard to find analytical investigations in which actually the natural frequency is obtained. Difficulties arise from the fact that in order to determine the natural frequency we need to compute the added mass at least for a range of frequencies, and to solve an equation where the frequency is a variable. In this study, first, a formula is obtained for the added mass, and then an equation for finding the natural frequency is defined and solved by Newton's iteration. It is confirmed that the formula shows a good agreement with the results given by Ursell(1949), and the value of natural frequency is reduced by 21.5% compared to the pre-natural frequency, which is obtained without considering the effect of added mass.

공기유입이 화재강도에 미치는 영향에 대한 실험적인 연구 (An experimental investigation on the errect of air entrainment)

  • An experimental investigation has been made with the objcetive of studying the effects of air entrainment of fire strength. A rich jet flame is considered as an fire, and fire, and the air entrainment is controlled by introducing the tone excitation which is generated by means of a loudspeaker-driven cavity. The excitation frequency is chosen for the resonant frequency identified as a pipe resonance due to acoustic excitation. As the excitation intensity increases, the amplitude of oscillating velocity for inducing air entrainment is increased, the flame height decreased and the structure of diffusion flame gradually transformed to that of premixed flame.
