수도권 중소규모 종합병원 간호사 이직의도 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Nurse Turnover Intention in Small and Medium Sized Hospitals in the Metropolitan Area)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors influencing nurse turnover intention in small and medium sized hospitals in the metropolitan area. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. A questionnaire was distributed to the nurses in small and medium sized hospitals. The data of 209 nurses was analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression. Results: Organizational commitment and age were identified as factors influencing turnover intention. These factors explained 56.8% of variance of turnover intention. Conclusion: Results suggest that establishment of organizational commitment needs to be discussed and continuously developed. Further study is also necessary to identify the key mechanism in nurse turnover intention.

서번트 리더십이 병원종사자 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effects of Servant Leadership on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Hospital Employees)

  • The purpose of this research is to empirically study the effects of servant leadership on in job satisfaction and organizational commitment in hospital setting. The results show that servant leadership is affecting job satisfaction. As to emotional commitment, servant leadership is positively related as predicted. On the contrary to the prediction, continuance commitment is also turned out to be related positively with servant leadership. Further research needs to be done with this finding.

  • This study aims to review the reality of local educational officials in technical post, to investigate their needs and awareness for newly changing social environment, and to inspire them with alternatives and strategies for reforming and restructuring their organization. It examines and analyses the strong points and weak points of the organization, the methods for improving the operation systems and organizational structures and the problems in the personnel management in officialdom, especially unfairness between the executive and the technical officials through a questionnaire and interview. This study ascertains that most of the technical officials consider expert knowledge and experience as their strong point and think the negative image against its group as their weak point for the organizational development. Specially this article indicates that they are not satisfied with the job conditions and want to shift to the official in executive post.

병원 내 응급구조사의 직무만족도가 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Job Satisfaction in Emergency Medical Technician within Hospital upon Organizational Commitment)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to offer basic data in arranging the improved working environment to Emergency Medical Technicians, by analyzing the influence of job satisfaction in Emergency Medical Technician within hospital upon organizational commitment. Method : This study was carried out targeting 203 Emergency Medical Technicians who are working at hospitals in B Metropolitan City, U Metropolitan City, D Metropolitan City, an d G Province. The data collection was performed from April 1, 2009 to June 10. The statistical processing was used a program of SPSS WIN 12.0 Version. The statistical significance was set to p<.05. Results : 1. In the descriptive statistics of the job satisfaction and the organizational commitment. the whole average for job satisfaction was 3.06 points. The whole average for organizational commitment was 3.05 points. 2. In the difference between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, the group for job satisfaction was indicated to be statistically significant in job-choice motive(F=2.710, p<.05) and turnover propensity(t=.662, p<.001). The group for organizational commitment was indicated to be statistically significant in working department(F=2.871, p<.05), job-choice motive(F=2.944, p<.05), turnover propensity(t=.903, p<.001), and turnover reason(F=3.415, p<.01). 3. In the correlation between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, the job satisfaction showed positive correlation(r=.736, p<.01) with organizational commitment. 4. As for the influence of job-satisfaction factor upon organizational commitment, salary(${\beta}$=.162, t=2.739, p<.01), autonomy(${\beta}$=.372, t=4.633, p<.001), working environment(${\beta}$=.139, t=1.968, p<.05), and organizational needs(${\beta}$=.172, t=2.291, p<.05) were indicated to have significant effect on organizational commitment. Conclusion : The institutional arrangement is considered to be likely to be necessarily made highly for improving social image and enhancing salary and working environment so that Emergency Medical Technician within hospital can be enhanced job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

  • In general, members of an organization want their own growth and development. As these members grow or develop, they feel satisfied and fulfilled in the process. Growth or development can motivate members to become more involved in their jobs. Therefore, these concepts are very important for organizations as well as individual members. Various elements of the organization affect the growth of its members. Leaders influence members to achieve organizational goals. Leaders can therefore be an important variable influencing the growth of members. Specific leadership informally develops the potential to identify and satisfy members' personal needs and to achieve higher performance. These leader behaviors motivate members and drive their growth. Thus, this leadership will have a significant impact on the growth of members. In addition, in this relationship, if members have perceived organizational support, they can further improve their expectations for growth. Therefore, support from leaders and organizations will have a positive impact on employee growth. This study highlights the importance of the growth of members of the organization. It demonstrates the moderating effects of leader's individualized consideration and perceived organizational support necessary elements for member growth. Through this process, the purpose and significance of the study are to identify the variables that affect the personal growth of members and explain how they can grow.

The Effects of Service Worker's Customer Orientation on Organizational Citizenship Behavior

  • Every organization needs to maintain its long-term effectiveness through the positive perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors of its members. Customer orientation, job satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) are the important functioning aspects for the long-term organizational effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of service-worker's customer orientation on OCB within Korean bank and insurance sector by analyzing the relationship of constructs in the conceptual model. To achieve research objectives, survey method is employed. Findings of this research reveal that both need and enjoyment dimension of CO are very important in predicting OCB. We sent 220 questionnaires to service workers of the bank and insurance then received 200 valid responses. The research was conducted in bank and insurance agency in J city. The choice of these two types of organizations was dictated by the fact that they have large number of service worker with diverse background at multiple levels in these industries. Results also indicated that the moderating effect of pay satisfaction on the relationship between their OCB and CO had a weak effect.

Effect of Organizational Culture on Corporate Social Welfare Activities

  • Purpose - Stakeholders play a vital part in the company's CSR activities and they are part of the company's achievement and affect the company's achievement or business objectives. This study aims to add insight into the already existing knowledge how the organizational culture can promote corporate social welfare activities. Research design, Data, and methodology - The current authors obtained text data for the possible practical suggestions which might be used for the creation of coding method. That implies that the present author investigated only trustable textual sources to provide for the possible solutions such as peer-revied sources and published book. Result - Research results indicated that organizational culture promotes corporate social welfare activities by making people know their values and understand how they come about. Not every community knows what its members want and how to achieve its needs. Sometimes, a community can obtain the values and principles of an organization and incorporate them into community values. Conclusion - Executive leadership and customers are part of society. Any strategy that influences their operation and works ethic influences the contact of the community. This research found methods vital in setting up an excellent culture that enhances profitability and the corporate social welfare activities through motivation and communication.

  • This study examined the effect of railway traffic controllers' negative perception of organizational culture on their job demand and job satisfaction in relation to the moderating effect of self-efficacy. Results showed that the aggressive/defensive culture based on power and competition, had a positive (+) effect on job demand and job satisfaction. On the other hand, in the conditional process model in which self-efficacy affects the relationship between organizational culture, job demand, and job satisfaction, self-efficacy played a significant role in lowering the level of job demand, and it contributed to the increase of job satisfaction through a mediating effect. This results suggest the needs for lowering the level of job demand by changing the present aggressive/defensive organizational culture into the constructive one. And also, much consideration for maintaining the level of their self-efficacy should be spent.

조직지원인식이 주관적 경력성공에 미치는 영향: 경력계획의 매개효과 검증 (The Effect of Perceived Organizational Support on Subjective Career Success: The Mediating Effect of Career Planning)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to identify the relations among perceived organizational support, career planning, and subjective career success (career satisfaction and job satisfaction). In particular, this study focuses on the mediating effect on the career planning between perceived organization and subjective career success. The target cases are employees of a Korean branch of a global company (A), which operates formal career program to support a career development for employees. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected from December, 2014 to March, 2015. 211 out of 300 questionnaires were returned (response rate 70.3%). After the data cleaning, 209 questionnaires were used for the data analysis. These data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM). The whole process of the data analysis was accomplished using the SPSS 21.0 for windows and the AMOS 21 program. Results - The findings of the study are as follows: First, the better the organizational support is perceived, the higher career satisfaction and job satisfaction is. That is, the employees' career and job satisfaction is higher, when they feel themselves received more supporting. Second, perceived organizational support has a positive impact on employees' career planning. This result means that it is important to support employees in their career development. Third, career planning has a positive impact on career satisfaction, but not on job satisfaction. Lastly, it is verified that career planning has a mediating effect between the perceived organizational support and career satisfaction. Not only has the perception of an organizational support a direct impact on career satisfaction, but also an indirect impact through career planning. However, there is not an indirect relationship through career planning, just an direct relationship between the perception of an organizational support and job satisfaction Conclusions - Based on the findings of this study, the major conclusion of the study was as follows: The study provides theoretical values and practical implications for the fact that the differences of the subjective perception about organizational support exist among employees, and the differences have an impact on their career planning as well as subjective career success. Furthermore, some recommendations for workplace were suggested: The companies should support the career development for employees in organization level. Even though employment instability makes individual workers themselves to be responsible for their own career development, it is an important issue in organizational level that employees' career success could have positive effects on organizational development and success, as well. However, there is a limit in the study that analyzing results cannot be generalized due to the data from a single company. Some recommendations for future research are suggested: First, a comparative study should be conducted with other various companies. Second, a hierarchical analyzing model needs to be applied to substantiate how organizational context influences on subjective career success of employees.
