Crack-Healing Behavior of SiC with Additive SiO2 Colloid

  • This study focuses on the crack-healing behavior and bending strength of SiC ceramics with sintering additives of $SiO_2$colloid. Optimized crack-healing condition was found to be 1hr at an atmosphere of 1373 K. The maximum crack size that can be healed at the optimized condition was a semi-elliptical surface crack of $450{\mu}m$ in diameter. After heat treatment at the optimum temperature in air, the crack morphology almost entirely disappeared and the strength recovered to the value of the smooth specimens at room temperature for the investigated crack sizes up to $450{\mu}m$. The crack with width $1.4{\mu}m$ can be completely heal the surface crack.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish the optimum fabricating condition of specimens using silk screen printing, and to develop humidity sensor which has good humidity sensing properties. The specimens are fabricated under the condition of 90[wt%] $SnO_2$-10[wt%] $TiO_2$, and their microstructure, crystalline structure, humidity sensing properties are examined. From the microstructure analyses, porosity is best at 700[$^{\circ}C$]. From the crystalline structure analyses, intensity of peak becomes strong according to increasing heat treatment temperature. From the humidity sensing properties analyses, an overall results of capacitance changes, linearity and hysteresis for the specimens is best at 600[$^{\circ}C$] and 700[$^{\circ}C$]. Capacitance of specimens increases according to decreasing measurement frequency, and to increasing relative humidity.

  • Biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate copolymer(BO - PET)film laminated aluminiums have been applied for chip condenser case. The BO PET film is characterized by high molecular which gives high corrosion resistance, good adhesion and high heat resistance. The higher orientation lowers formability of the film. So, optimum orientation has to be controlled during the laminating process. And to confirm the adhesion between BO PET and aluminium and to guarantee the formability of PET laminated aluminums, we have controlled the chromium oxides weight on the aluminium and laminating condition ( laminating temperature, soaking temperature and lag time after nip roll and quenching conditions) This paper discusses the effect of the laminating conditions on the formability of laminated aluminums. As results, it is clear that the orientation of the BO PET film decreased with an increase in the strip temperature. When the film temperature is over the melting point of the film, its orientation drastically decreased.

실온 펄스도금법을 이용한 STS 316L 표면의 Ni 도금 저가형욕 연구 (Study of Ni-coating on 316L Stainless Steel by Pulse Electroplating in Various Bath Conditions at Room Temperature)

  • Ni coating was carried out by pulse plating at room temperature. So, experimental conditions for Ni-coating were based on Watt's bath, and new additives(propionic acid) were introduced in the Watt's bath electrolyte as $H_3$$BO_3$ alternatives. By adding propionic acid, coating layer demonstrated a good adhesion and uniformity without special pre-treatment of the 316L stainless steel at room temperature. With a decrease of amount of propionic acid and applied average current density, cathode current efficiency increased. Also, edge effect was decreased with decreasing a peak current and increasing a pulse frequency in the same bath condition. It was found that the optimum condition for Ni coating was a current density of 10~20mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at below 500 mA peak current in the $5m\ell/\ell$ propionic acid solution.

예비열처리(豫備熱處理)에 의한 무우김치의 연화방지(軟化防止) (Pre-heating treatment for Prevention of Tissue Softening of Radish Root Kimchi)

  • 숙성중 무우 김치 조직의 연부현상을 방지하기 위하여 예비열처리와 $CaCl_2$의 효과를 조사하고 이를 이용하여 무우조직의 경도가 높은 김치를 제조하였다. 무우조직중의 펙틴분해효소인 폴리갈락투로나제(PG)는 펙틴에스테라제(PE)보다 더 낮은 농도의 $CaCl_2$에서 저해되었고, PE의 최적온도는 $50{\sim}55^{\circ}C,$ PG는 $45^{\circ}C$이었다. 따라서 0.05M $CaCl_2$용액에서 $55^{\circ}C$로 2시간동안 열처리 하여 PE는 활성화 시키고 PG는 억제시킬 수 있었다. 최적조건하에서 예비열처리를 하여 김치를 제조한 후 냉장고($4{\sim}10^{\circ}C$에서 저장하려면 pH, 환원당, 경도, 펙틴분해효소의 역가 그리고 펙틴물질의 변화를 측정하였다. 처리구의 무우김치는 비교구보다 숙성중 계속해서 높은 경도를 유지하였고 조직내에 있는 PE는 숙성중 계속 감소하였으며 PG는 초기에는 감소하다가 저장 말기에 가서는 증가하였다. 저장중 펙틴물질 조성의 변화는 비교구가 처리구에 비해 열수가용 펙틴질이 더 많이 증가하였으며 Sodium hexa meta phosphate soluble 펙틴은 더 많이 감소하였다.

  • 본 연구는 폐플라스틱용기 미디어 산화공법을 이용하여 유체 및 산소전달 효율 향상을 위한 개조 방법과 미생물 부착특성을 향상시키는 방법을 통하여 오수고도처리 함을 목적으로 하고 있다. 또한 실험실 규모의 실험에서 최적의 담체 층진율과 충진 방법을 도출함으로써, 실 규모 설비를 위한 최적 설계 인자와 운전인자를 확보하고, 오수의 고도처리를 위한 다양한 운전조건을 제공하여 폐플라스틱 용기를 미생물 담체로 사용할 경우 생물학적 반응에 의해서 분해 될 때 소비되는 산소량과 오수중에 현탁되어 있는 유, 무기성 부유물과 질소 제거가 이루어지는 메카니즘을 규명하고 오수 처리 효율 향상을 위한 운전인자 도출을 목표로 한다.

상압건조 나노다공성 실리카 에어로젤에 대한 용매의 영향 (Influence of solvent on the nano porous silica aerogels prepared by ambient drying process)

  • Nano porous, transparent silica aerogels monoliths were prepared under ambient drying (1 atm, $270^{\circ}C$) condition by the combination of sol-gel process and surface modification with subsequent heat treatment. Three kinds of solvent, n-hexane, n-heptane and xylene, were selected in the point view of low surface tension and vapor pressure in order to restrain a formation of cracks during drying. Crack-free silica aerogels with over 93 % of porosity and below $0.14g/cm^3$ of density were obtained by solvent exchange and surface modification under atmosphere condition. Optimum solvent was confirmed n-heptane among these solvents through estimation of FT-IR, TGA, BET and SEM. Modified silica aerogel exhibited a higher porosity and pore size compare to unmodified aerogels. Hydrophobicity was also controled by C-H and H-OH bonding state in the gel structure and heat treatment over $400^{\circ}C$ effects to the hydrophobicity due to oxidation of C-H radicals.

PAC-A/O 공정을 이용한 안료폐수의 질소 제거 특성 (Nitrogen removal characteristics of pigment wastewater using PAC-A/O process)

  • The objectives of this study were to evaluate the removal characteristics of total nitrogen, the influence factor of denitrification and the optimum operating condition in the pigment wastewater treatment using PAC-A/O process. The operating conditions of PAC-A/O process were mean BOD volumetric loading $0.86kgBOD/m^3/day$, mean F/M ratio 0.072~0.13 kgBOD/kgMLVSS/day and mean C/N ratio 3.47, respectively. The conditions of anoxic process in the field plant test were mean pH 8.3~8.7 and mean temperature $34.1{\sim}44.0^{\circ}C$. The ORP bending point knee was eventually appeared in the ORP -107 mV and $NO_3{^-}-N$ removal efficiency was increased according to the ORP decrease. In the ORP -107 mV below condition, the removal efficiency of T-N and $NO_3{^-}-N$ was 92.3~95.0% and 98.5~99.7%. Denitrification rate was calculated to be 1.581~1.791 mg $NO_3{^-}-N/gMLSS/hr$. The experimental results showed that the ORP control in the PAC-A/O process could be an effective method for treatment of pigment wastewater.

토양미생물을 이용한 축산폐수 처리공정의 적정부하율과 질산화공정의 특성 (Optimum loading capacity and nitrification characteristics of the swine wastewater treatment process using soil microbe)

  • 고농도 축산폐수의 과부하 고도처리를 위한 토양미생물을 이용한 공정개발 연구결과 질소${\cdot}$제거율은 97% 이었다. 질산화를 위한 최소 HRT는 11일 이었으며 이때의 SRT는 25일 이었다. HRT 5일에서 11일 사이에 도 질산화는 있었으나 이 때는 $NO_2-N$이 대부분으로 완전질산화를 달성하지는 못했다. pH와 $NO_2\;^--N$, $NH_3\;^--N$ 의 관계로부터 반응조는 nitrosomonas 저해영역에 속해 있었으나 약간의 pH 조절로 충분한 질산화를 달성할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

  • This paper deals with investigating experimentally the effects of PWHT on the weld quality such as strength, toughness, hardness and micro-structure of the welded joints in friction welding of torsion bar material SUP9A bar to bar. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1) It was certified that the condition of the post-weld heat treatment(PWHT) for the friction welded joints was very satisfactory because both strength and toughness of the joints were improved as almost same as those of the base metal or better by the PWHT. 2) The peak of hardness distribution of the friction welded joints can be eliminated by PWHT, resulting in being almost equalized at the weld interface, the HAZ(heat affected zone) and the base metal. 3) The micro-structure of the base meta., HAZ and weld interface(WI) of friction welded joints welded at the optimum welding condition consists of the same sorbite structure obtained by PWHT and fined sorbite at WI, resulting in increasing toughness as well as strength, and no micro structural defect has been found at the friction welded zone.
