Participation in and perceptions of antibiotic stewardship behaviors among nurses at a children's hospital in South Korea: a descriptive study

  • Purpose: This study investigated participation in and perceptions of antibiotic stewardship among nurses at a children's hospital. Methods: This descriptive study included 125 nurses working in the inpatient ward, intensive care unit and emergency room of a single tertiary children's hospital. The study measured 14 factors influencing antibiotic stewardship behaviors using the theoretical domains framework. Each factor was analyzed by categorizing it into components (capability, opportunity, and motivation) that have been proposed as influencing factors in the COM-B model of behavior. One-way analysis of variance and Pearson correlation coefficients were used to explore differences in antibiotic stewardship behaviors and influencing factors according to general characteristics and the correlation between antibiotic stewardship behaviors and COM-B components. Results: No statistically significant difference in antibiotic stewardship behaviors was found based on the experience of antibiotic stewardship education or the nursing department. However, significant differences were observed in the perception levels of factors related to antibiotic stewardship behaviors according to the experience of antibiotic stewardship education in skill (physical) (p=.042), knowledge (p=.027), intentions (p=.028), and social influences (p=.010). Additionally, significant differences were observed in perception levels according to the sub-components of the COM-B model, specifically physical capability (p=.042), psychological capability (p=.027), and social opportunity (p=.010). Conclusion: To expand nurses' involvement and roles in antibiotic stewardship, nurses should acknowledge the significance of appropriate antibiotic use, aiming to enhance the quality of medical care and ensure patient safety. In pursuit of this objective, tailored education aligning with the specific needs and practices of nurses is essential.

창업지원제도가 1인창업자의 행동특성에 따라 창업기업 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Influence of Entrepreneur Behavior Characteristics on Business Performance According to the Entrepreneurial Support System)

  • 본 연구는 창업기업의 성공률 제고를 위한 정부 및 지자체의 창업지원제도가 창업자의 행동특성에 따라 기업의 경영성과에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지를 알고자 하였다. 이에 창업지원제도를 창업교육, 멘토링, 컨설팅 등의 창업정책지원과 정책자금, R&D자금 등의 창업자금지원으로 구분하고 창업자의 행동도 창업기회발견을 위한 행동특성과 창업기회활용을 위한 행동특성으로 구분하여 기업경영성과에 영향을 주는 지를 분석하기 위해 선행연구를 기반으로 연구모형을 만들고 가설을 설정하여 1인 창업기업의 대표들을 대상으로 설문조사를 하여 이것을 근거로 가설을 검증하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론으로, 첫째, 창업정책지원은 창업자의 기회발견을 위한 행동특성에는 영향을 주지 못했지만 창업자의 기회활용을 위한 행동특성에는 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 창업자금지원은 창업자의 기회발견을 위한 행동특성에는 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났지만 기회활용을 위한 행동특성에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 창업자의 창업기회발견과 창업기회활용을 위한 행동특성은 기업의 경영성과에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 따라 본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 시사점을 말하고 있는데, 첫째, 창업지원제도는 창업기업의 성장단계에 따라 차등적인 정책이 적용되어야 하겠으며 둘째, 창업기업은 새로운 기술 및 아이디어의 개발단계, 사업화 단계, 마케팅의 단계를 거치면서 성장하는데 각 단계에서 자금조달을 필요로 하는 이른바 죽음의 계곡을 극복해야 하겠다는 것이다.

창업교육이 기회인식 및 평가에 미치는 영향: 소상공인을 중심으로 (The Effect of Entrepreneurship Education on Opportunity Recognition and Evaluation: A Focus on Small Business Entrepreneurs)

  • 가치 있는 기회를 기반으로 한 창업은 국가 경제의 장기적인 성장에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 서민경제의 근간을 이루는 소상공인들의 기회형 창업에 대한 정부의 교육적 지원의 개선점과 방향성을 제언하기 위해 현재 소상공인들에게 제공되는 창업교육을 기회형 창업의 관점에서 검증하였다. 본 연구를 위해 정부의 소상공인 창업교육을 수료한 전국의 소상공인들을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시하고, 345명의 온라인 설문 데이터를 실증분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과 소상공인들을 위한 창업교육과 지원제도는 창업효능감에 모두 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 창업효능감은 기회인식과 기회평가 역량은 물론 향상초점과 예방초점에도 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이론과 실습교육이 포함된 소상공인 창업교육은 향상초점과 예방초점에 모두 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 소상공인들의 향상초점은 기회인식에는 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만 기회평가에는 유의한 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났으며 소상공인들의 예방초점은 기회인식과 기회평가에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과에 의하면 현 소상공인 창업교육은 소상공인들의 기회인식과 기회평가 역량에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타나 소상공인들의 기회형 창업율을 높이기 위해 현 창업교육에 개선이 필요함을 시사한다.

  • The purpose of this research is to identify new service opportunities for enhancing driving safety of intra-city buses based on driving behavior analysis. Service opportunity identification involves finding target customers of service (to whom), motivations for service (why), service contents (what), and service delivery process (when, where). This paper presents an analysis of driving behaviors using the operational data of intra-city buses in conjunction with traffic accident data and drivers' driving history data. This paper also presents four identified service opportunities based on the data analysis results. This research would contribute to enhancing driving safety of intra-city buses in Korea and serve as a basis for developing new services for driving safety enhancement.

유아의 인터넷 게임 중독 경향성에 따른 유아의 공격성과 사회적 기술, 어머니의 또래관계 관리전략과 양육행동의 차이 (Preschoolers' Inclination Toward Internet-game Addictive Based on Aggression and Social Skills, Maternal Management Strategies for Peer Relations and Parenting Behaviors)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore relationships between preschooler's aggression and social skills, maternal management strategies of peer relations and parenting behaviors and preschoolers' internet-game addictive inclination. Participants included seventy-seven (77) 5 to 6-year-old preschoolers (44 boys, 33 girls) and their mothers. The Aggressive Behavior Scale (Lee & Choi, 2001), the Social Skill Rating Scale (Suh, 2004), the Maternal Parenting Behaviors Scale (Rhu & Lee, 2007) and the Parental Involvement Checklist (Park, 2001) were used in this study. The Internet Game Addiction Scale (Korea Agency for Digital Opportunity and Promotion, 2006) was used to identify higher and lower addictive level of internet-game inclination. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and t-test. Major findings revealed that preschooler's social skills, maternal management strategies of peer relations and parenting behaviors showed a predictable correlation to preschooler's internet-game addictive inclination.

산모의 신생아에 대한 애착행위에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Maternal Attachment Behavior During Early Postpartum Period)

  • The purpose of this study was to observe and describe the maternal attachment behavior during the mother's first interactions with her newborn and define the factors contributing to differences in maternal attachment behavior. Observations of the mother's first interaction with her newborn can offer valuable information about the mother-infant relationship, and it provides an opportunity for planning individulized care for them. Data was collected from Sep. 1, 1950 to Oct.30, 1980 at Ewha Womans University Hospital. Maternal attachment behaviors of healthy full-term infants were observed and recorded on the .maternal attachment tool and analysed by the use of means, standard deviations and ANEVA test. The following trends of maternal behaviors were observed: 1. Identifying behaviors was the predominant mode and all of the mothers inspects baby's body features. 2. Modalities of interaction, that is, touching was initiated on the babies extremities and heads (57.3%) rather than the trunks (8.7%) and mothers touched their infants with their fingertips (58.2%) more than palm touching (14.6%) 3. Care-taking activities performed by the mother were negligible at the first interaction. 4. Parity of mother, sex of infant, age of mother, planned pregnancy, length of visits by mother to infant appeared to have significant influence on the maternal attachment behaviors.

  • 수학 교실에서 가치 있는 수학적 과제는 학생들에게 수학적 아이디어를 제공하고 지적으로 흥미를 갖고 도전해 보게 한다. 최근 수학적 과제에 대한 중요성은 여러 측면에서 강조되고 있다. 특히 과제에 따라 학생들의 수업 참여도가 달라지고 수업 시간의 활동이 결정된다는 연구 결과와 학습 기회는 학생들이 참여하는 과제의 사고 수준과 사고 종류에 의해 결정된다는 주장은 교수 학습 과정에서의 과제의 중요성을 한층 더 부각시키고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 다양하고 실제적인 과제 제시 및 해결 활동에 대한 구체적인 이해를 위하여 연구자의 개입이 없는 자연스러운 교실 상황 내에서 교수 학습 활동을 관찰하고자 한다. 교수 학습 활동에서 나타나는 교사의 과제 제시 방법, 과제 해결을 위한 기회 제공 방법, 과제 해결 시 나타나는 교사의 행동을 분석하여 각 관점에 따른 교사의 행동 유형을 분류해 보고, 이를 통해 수학적 소양과 수학적 힘을 신장시킬 수 있는 학생 중심의 개혁적인 수학 교실 수업 실현을 위한 기초적인 정보를 제공하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다.

Single Nanoparticle Photoluminescence Studies of Visible Light-Sensitive TiO2 and ZnO Nanostructures

  • Visible light-sensitive $TiO_2$ and ZnO nanostructure materials have attracted great attention as the promising material for solar energy conversion systems such as photocatalysts for water splitting and environmental purification as well as nano-biosensors. Success of their applications relies on how to control their surface state behaviors related to the exciton dynamics and optoelectronic properties. In this paper, we briefly review some recent works on single nanoparticle photoluminescence (PL) technique and its application to observation of their surface state behaviors which are raveled by the conventional ensemble-averaged spectroscopic techniques. This review provides an opportunity to understand the temporal and spatial heterogeneities within an individual nanostructure, allowing for the potential use of single-nanoparticle approaches in studies of their photoenergy conversion and nano-scale optical biosensing.

팀 내·외부 관계망이 지식 중개자 활동에 미치는 영향 (Influences of intra- and inter-team networks on knowledge brokerage behavior)

  • Knowledge transfer among employees integrates individual knowledge scattered within a firm, thus increases organizational effectiveness. In particular, the role of knowledge broker, which enables knowledge sharing across multiple teams or subunits, is critical for the success of knowledge management. This study classified the types of knowledge broker that facilitates knowledge flows among team, and examined the influences of various intra- and inter-team social networks. Survey responses from 128 employees of four R&D teams were gathered and analyzed using partial least square structural equation modeling. The results of analysis showed that all types of inter-team networks(i.e., emotional closeness network, frequency of interaction network, and perceived expertise network) had significant influences on related knowledge brokerage behaviors. In case of intra-team networks, only the emotional closeness network showed significant influence. These results proved the necessity of managing various types of intra- and inter-team networks to encourage knowledge brokerage behaviors within a firm.

상호작용성 영향요인이 적용된 공간디자인 프로세스에 관한 연구 - 상호작용 행태지원 프로그래밍 프로세스를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Design Process of Interactive Space with the Influential Factors on the Interactivity - Focus on Programming Process for Supporting Interactive Behaviors -)

  • Starting with 21st Century, the role of the design has been widened and designers began to regard the psychological and behavioral factors as main design considerations. These factors are the core elements especially in designing interactive space. This research proposed the user-centered design methodology for interactive space. It developed Programming Process for Supporting Interactive Behaviors. To compose the process, this research analyzed the influential factors on the interactivity and the results were applied on the process. This newly proposed Programming Process contains four basic stages which are 'Opportunity Identification Cell', 'Intersubject Cell', 'Interaction & Interface Cell', and 'Programming Solution Cell'. More detailed tasks are also specified for each stage. This research asserts that the design process for Interactive space should differ from the past design processes in the fact that it puts much more attention on systemizing the psychological and behavioral elements than before. Therefore the design process for Interactive space should be reinforced with the data related to these psychological and behavioral understandings. The Programming Process of this paper is an attempt to enlarge the roles of these data in designing interactive space, and thus it is an attempt to accommodate the contemporary user-centered design paradigm.
