Analysis of the operation status of the AI convergence education major in the Graduate School of Education (교육대학원 AI융합교육전공 운영 현황 분석)

  • In this study, in order to analyze the AI convergence education courses of 38 graduate schools of education, the analysis frame was constructed in terms of basic subject classification, content field of subject, and detailed subject composition by field. And as a result of analysis through this frame, it was found that the number of subjects currently operated by these graduate schools of education is very different from 14 subjects to 48 subjects. Therefore, it was judged that it was urgent to develop a standard curriculum for the AI convergence education major operated by each graduate school of education for the same purpose. The AI Convergence Education Major, which was established for the same purpose and operated in different forms, will eventually produce teachers with different competencies, so there is a risk of bringing confusion to the direction of AI Convergence Education in the school field.

  • The function of the black box can be combined with a car to check the video through a cloud server, reduce the hassle of checking the video through a memory card, check the black box image in real time through a PC and smartphone, and check the user's Excel, brake operation status, and handle control record at the time of the accident. In addition, the goal was to accurately identify vehicle accidents and simplify accident handling through artificial intelligence object recognition of black box images using cloud services. Measures can be prepared to preserve images even if the black box itself loses, such as fire, flooding, or damage that occurs in an accident. It has been confirmed that the exact situation before and after the accident can be grasped immediately by providing object recognition and log recording functions under actual driving experimental conditions.

  • The electric propulsion development is underway to minimize pollutants and greenhous gas emissions during the operation of ships / offshore installation vessels. The importance of the use and efficient management of batteries, which is an ESS system in ships / offshore installation vessels, is increasing. Generally, in ESS where battery is applied, cell balancing and life span are monitored in real time by BMS. Ships / offshore installation vessel are equipped with several ESS rooms, and ESS rooms with ESS systems of the same specification are being constructed due to the recent demand for electric propulsion development. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to additionally predict and diagnose battery pack and cell balancing failures by comparing BMS data for each rooms. The proposed algorithm compares the BMS data of each ESS Room according to the environmental change of the ship / offshore installation vessels, measures accurate status information, and reliably monitors it to prevent accidents in advance.

A Study on the Significance of Unit Capacity Factor (Utilization Rate) of Nuclear Power Plants and Measures for Increasing (원전 이용률의 의의 및 증진방안 고찰)

  • Unit capacity factor (utilization rate) of nuclear power plants (NPPs) is an important performance indicator. Since the first commercial operation of Kori Unit 1 began in April 1978, the utilization rate of domestic NPPs has gradually increased, reaching 90% from the end of the 1990s. However, due to various issues such as the Fukushima accident in 2011, corrosion of the CLP, the utilization rate dropped to 65~80%. In the early 1980s, the utilization rate of the U.S. NPPs was around 60%. However, since 2004, it has been consistently maintained above 90%. Therefore, in this study, we first examined the causes of declining the utilization rate in domestic NPPs. Next, the significances of the utilization rates are reviewed in five aspects: investment capability, electricity rate, safety and export, etc., with discussion on the current status of the utilization rates in the U.S. Based on this, three key factors are derived as the reasons of the increasing: equipment reliability program, on-line maintenance and the pursuit of institutional rationality. And finally, by synthesizing above results, the measures for increasing the utilization rate of domestic NPPs are proposed in terms of equipment management, institutional improvements, and personnel resources.

Feasibility and Clinical Outcomes of Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta in Patients with Traumatic Shock: A Single-Center 5-Year Experience

  • Background: Resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) has recently gained popularity as an adjunct to resuscitation of patients with traumatic shock. However, the effectiveness of REBOA is still debated because of inconsistent indications across centers and the lack of medical records. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness and feasibility of REBOA by analyzing clinical results from a single center. Methods: This study included 96 patients who underwent REBOA between August 2016 and September 2021 at a regional trauma center according to the center's treatment algorithm for traumatic shock. Medical records, including the time of the decision to conduct the REBOA procedure, time of operation, type of aortic occlusion, and clinical outcomes, were collected prospectively and analyzed retrospectively. Patients were classified by REBOA protocol (group 1, 2, or 3) and survival status (survivor or non-survivor) for analysis. Results: The overall success rate of the procedure was 97.9%, and the survival rate was 32.6%. In survivors, blood pressure was higher than in non-survivors both before the REBOA procedure (p=0.002) and after aortic occlusion (p=0.03). The total aortic occlusion time was significantly shorter (p=0.001) and the proportion of partial aortic occlusion was significantly higher (p=0.014) among the survivors. The non-survivors had more acidosis (p<0.001) and higher lactate concentrations (p<0.001) than the survivors. Conclusion: REBOA may be a feasible bridge therapy for resuscitation of patients with traumatic shock. Prompt and accurate decision-making to perform REBOA followed by damage control surgery could improve survival rates and clinical outcomes.

Analysis of Ecological Data Repository Operation Status and EcoBank Service Proposal (생태 분야 데이터 리포지터리 운영 현황 분석 및 EcoBank 서비스 제안)

  • Sharing and reusing data has become essential. Data repositories are a key tool for sharing and reusing this data. The purpose of this study is to propose the service of EcoBank, which is being built and operated by the National Institute of Ecology. To achieve the research purpose, 10 out of 123 foreign data repositories in the field of ecology registered on re3data.org were selected, investigated, and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, three services were derived in common. The three services consist of first, research data policy, second, research data quality review, and research data management training and workshops. Here, in order to share EcoBank's global data, it is necessary to register with a data repository registry such as re3data.org, and it is proposed that certification be promoted to ensure the reliability and quality of the repository.

  • With the full-fledged start of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the quality of administrative services through intelligent information technology and demand increased rapidly. Accordingly, the government is in full swing to establish a "digital platform government" through digital innovation in existing e-government operations such as organizational operations and administrative services. As local governments also promoted the establishment of a digital-based Agile government as a key strategy, this study investigated and analyzed the operation of informatization experts in metropolitan and basic local governments to support digital transformation policies and projects through intelligent informatization. Through this, the necessity and implications of expanding the size of human resources for successful digital transformation were derived, and two measures were proposed to enhance capabilities and expertise in the process of securing new manpower.

  • Aircraft midair collisions are dangerous events that can cause massive casualties. To prevent this, civil aviation has mandated the installation of TCAS (ACAS), which is becoming more sophisticated with the help of new technologies. However, there are institutional problems in collecting data for TCAS research in Korea, limiting the ability to obtain data for personal research. ADS-B and Mode-S automatic broadcast various information about the flight status of the aircraft. This data also contains information about TCAS RA, which can be used by anyone to find examples of TCAS RA operation. We used the databases of ADS-B Exchange and Opensky-Network to acquire data and visually represent three TCAS RA cases through Python coding. We also identified domestic TCAS cases in the first half of 2023 and analyzed their characteristics to confirm the usefulness of the data.

Analysis of the effect of improving access to wide-area public transportation on the Regional Economic Revitalization (광역 대중교통 접근성 향상이 관광 및 지역경제 활성화에 미치는 효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose ways to revitalize the local economy by analyzing the index changes and tourism big data before and after the opining of the KTX on the Gangneung Line in Gangneung City, where the population continues to decline. For This, the main current status of Gangneung-si and internal operation record data(DTG) of Gangneung-si were analyzed. After that, changes in the movement behavior of public transportation users before and after the opening of the KTX Gangneung Line were compared. As a result, it was possible to observe changes in tourist transportation preferences, demographic shifts, alterations in small-scale business sectors and in the travel patterns of tourists within the city of Gangneung. In particular, changes in the small business sector have shown an increase in general restaurants, leisure food establishments(cafes, etc.), and accommodation facilities following the opening of the KTX Gangneung Line. All three sectors have experienced growth concentrated in the vicinity of Gangneung Station, indicating the influence of Gangneung Station, which opened in the central part of Gangneung city, following the inauguration of the KTX Gangneung Line.

  • As the technology and level of autonomous vehicles advance and they drive in more diverse road environments, an intuitive and efficient interaction system is needed to resolve and respond to the situations the vehicle faces. The development of driving technology from the perspective of autonomous driving has the ultimate goal of responding to situations involving humans or more. In particular, in complex road environments where mutual concessions must be made, the role of a system that can respond flexibly through efficient communication methods to understand each other's situation between vehicles or between pedestrians and vehicles is important. In order to resolve the status of the vehicle or the situation being faced, the provision and method of information must be intuitive and the efficient operation of an autonomous vehicle through interaction with intention is required. In this paper, we explain the vehicle structure and functions that can display information about the situation in which the autonomous vehicle driving in a living lab can drive stably and efficiently in a diverse and complex environment.
