온라인 플랫폼의 분류 프레임워크 : 국내 플랫폼 사례연구를 중심으로 (An Innovative Framework to Classify Online Platforms)

  • Purpose This paper presents a new method of classifying online platforms. It also explains how to apply the framework using case studies and generate new insight about platform strategies and policy development. Design/methodology/approach This paper focuses on the relationship between platforms, especially the hierarchy and power relations, and broadly classifies platforms as follows: content/services, meta information, app stores, operating systems, and cloud. Both the content/service platform and the meta information platform have matching as their main function. However, most content/services tend to collect and access information through meta-information platforms, so meta-information platforms are closer to infrastructure than content/service platforms. App store, operating system, and cloud can be said to be platforms of platforms. A small number of companies in the US and China dominate platforms of platforms, and become the recent development and regulatory targets of their respective governments. Findings We should be wary of the attempts to regulate domestic platforms by importing foreign regulations that ignore the hierarchical structure that our framework highlights. We believe that Korea's strategy to become a true platform powerhouse is clear. As one of the few countries with significant companies in the area of meta information platforms, it will be necessary to fully utilize the position and advance into the strategically important area of platforms of platforms. Furthermore, it is necessary to encourage world-class companies to appear in Korea in the app store, operating system, and cloud. To do so, the government needs to introduce promotion policies to strategically nurture such platforms rather than to regulate them.

  • 최근 들어 SaaS기반 이동형 개인 맞춤 소프트웨어 플랫폼에 관한 연구 및 개발이 활발해지고 있다. 이러한 플랫폼들은 다양한 사용자의 OS를 만족시키기 위해 최적화된 가상머신이 필수적으로 요구된다. 또한 다양한 Host OS에서 내부, 외부 네트워크 간에 빠르고 안정적인 서비스를 지원 함으로서 사용자의 작업환경 이동성을 보장해야 한다. 이를 위해 가상머신은 다양한 관점에서의 성능 측정이 필요하다. 하지만 기존 연구에서 가상머신의 성능 측정은 Host 컴퓨터에 설치된 VM에 Guest OS를 설치하여 이를 하나의 컴퓨터로 간주하고, 외부의 클라이언트에서 네트워크 성능을 측정한다. 이는 이동형 개인 맞춤 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 위한 가상머신 성능 측정에 적합하지 않다. 본 논문은 SaaS기반 이동형 개인 맞춤 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 위한 최적화된 가상머신을 선정하기 위해서 네트워크 성능 측정 방법과 측정된 결과 분석을 통한 최적화된 가상머신을 제안한다.

ROS-based control for a robot manipulator with a demonstration of the ball-on-plate task

  • Robotics and automation are rapidly growing in the industries replacing human labor. The idea of robots replacing humans is positively influencing the business thereby increasing its scope of research. This paper discusses the development of an experimental platform controlled by a robotic arm through Robot Operating System (ROS). ROS is an open source platform over an existing operating system providing various types of robots with advanced capabilities from an operating system to low-level control. We aim in this work to control a 7-DOF manipulator arm (Robai Cyton Gamma 300) equipped with an external vision camera system through ROS and demonstrate the task of balancing a ball on a plate-type end effector. In order to perform feedback control of the balancing task, the ball is designed to be tracked using a camera (Sony PlayStation Eye) through a tracking algorithm written in C++ using OpenCV libraries. The joint actuators of the robot are servo motors (Dynamixel) and these motors are directly controlled through a low-level control algorithm. To simplify the control, the system is modeled such that the plate has two-axis linearized motion. The developed system along with the proposed approaches could be used for more complicated tasks requiring more number of joint control as well as for a testbed for students to learn ROS with control theories in robotics.

  • Human body sways continuously to maintain balance during upright stance. A computer-aided instrumentation system using a force platform has been developed to investigate the body balance. The Kistler force platform and amplifiers were only used to obtain the precise measurements, and the data acquisition and analysis software operating on an IBM PC with A/D converter was developed. This study presents methods for the display of platform center of pressure data on stability study. This system can be used as a tool in evaluating the man's ability to balance and disorders of the nervous system.

  • In this paper, we present mSROS(Micro-Scalable Realtime Operating System) to be applied commonly to the device controller systems in the HANbit ACE256 system. The device controller systems in HANbit ACE256 system are organized as many kinds of device controller. Applying modified PPOS(Peripheral Processor Operating System)which is an operating system for devices of the TDX-10 switching system to the firmwares for them, the inefficiency in development and maintenance exists inherently. To remove the inefficiency nd to improve the performqance of firmwares, we build a common operating system platform that including multi-tasking microkernel so that the firmwares among devices can acquire convenient development and cheap cost of maintencance. Especially, building a virtual machine as a development methodology, it is possible to remove dependency from the kernel so that any kinds of commercial real-time kernels can be used in mSROS as a basic kernel. The virtual machine in mSROS is compatible with the API of SROS(Scalable Realtime Operating System), PPOS, and CROS(Concurrent Realtime Operating System).

전동차 화재시 승강장 및 터널 환기실의 팬 작동에 따른 열 및 연기 배출 특성 연구 (Study on Heat and Smoke Exhaust Characteristics for Different Operating Modes of Platform and Tunnel Fans during a Passenger Train Fire)

  • 본 연구에서는 화재가 발생한 전동차가 지하철 역사에 정차된 상황에서 승강장과 터널에 설치된 환기팬 작동 유무 및 전환 시간에 따른 열 및 연기 배출 특성 예측을 위하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 환기팬 작동 방식에 따른 온도, 일산화탄소 및 가시거리 분포를 피난자의 호흡높이를 1.7m로 고려하여 비교 분석하였다. 수치해석 결과 터널 환기팬 작동으로 인하여 승강장 내의 열 및 연기가 신속히 터널부로 배출되었다. 또한 피난 진행 중에는 승강장 환기팬을 작동하고 피난이 완전히 완료된 후 터널에 설치된 환기팬을 작동하는 것이 효과적인 배연방법임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This paper describes the operating software of a motion system developed for a driving simulator, consisting of a six degree of freedom Stewart platform driven hydraulically. The drive logic, consisting of an washout algorithm, inverse kinematic analysis, and a control algorithm, has been developed and applied for creating high fidelity motion cues. The basic environment of the operating software is based on LabVIEW 4.0 and DLL modules compiled by Fortran.

  • Passenger safety is a primary concern of the railway system. However, dozens of people are killed every year when they accidently fall on to the track from the boarding platform. This is one of the most urgent issues to solve regarding the railway platform. The installation environment, and the blind area problems as well as maintenance and operating costs which are not efficient have to be looked at. To solve these problems, we propose a 3D laser radar sensor based monitoring system for the railway platform. This paper introduces an overview, the detecting method, and the interface with the signalling system in detecting a fallen passenger from the platform using the 3D laser radar sensor.

Development of Operating Program for EECU Test Bench

  • This study presents technical description of the operating program development that operates the test bench for functional test of EECU. The test bench is capable of testing, simulation and adjustment of the EECU software using the operating program. The test bench is for the Development Project of the EECU platform for FADEC system. The operating program is consists of 3 modules which are the test bench operating module, cockpit simulator module and SILS module. The operating module mainly carries out the EECU test with manual operation and operating scenarios. Also that record and process the test data. The cockpit simulator module is capable of implementation of virtual cockpit control input and engine status display. The SILS module can simulate engine and EECU operation in software environment.

  • 본 연구에서는 안드로이드 플랫폼을 탑재한 스마트 온도 제어기의 사용자 인터페이스(MMI)시스템에 대한 개발 방법을 나타낸다. 개발하는 스마트 온도제어기의 MMI 시스템은 온도 그래프 및 데이터를 원거리에서 모바일장치를 통하여 확인할 수 있도록 무선 WiFI 기능과 연동되는 시스템을 개발한다. 먼저, 스마트 온도제어기의 사용자 인터페이스(MMI)시스템의 하드웨어 인터페이스 회로설계방법을 나타내고, MMI 시스템의 운영 소프트웨어 개발 방법을 나타낸다. 스마트 온도제어기는 실시간 온도제어기 기능과 MMI 시스템 기능을 수행하는 이중 프로세서를 사용한다. 이어서 개발된 스마트 온도제어기의 MMI시스템의 실제 작동 시험을 통한 동작 성능을 평가한다. 안드로이드 플랫폼을 탑재함으로서 스마트온도제어기의 개발 기간을 줄일 수 있다.
