As many Korean libraries has begun to be automated and become a part of the worldwide, open library system, they need a new management. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore the library management in automated libraries and to establish a theory of the library management in information society, The automated libraries could be well explained by the systems theory and the environment of the libraries could be well explained by the contingency theory, The following hypothesis were set to direct this research. 1. As the libraries are automated and become a part of one big, worldwide library system, the libraries interact closely with the environment so that the library and the environment become one. 2. As the libraries are automated and become a part of one big, worldwide library system, the librarians need to work in the environment for the library networks, standardization of cataloging, or government information policy making. 3. As the libraries are automated and become a part of one big, worldwide library system, the librarians only manage the library, The various other library staffs take over the traditional library services directly related to books. The data were gathered from the research done previously, Also the date were collected from the American and Japanese libraries. The findings were as follows: The environment of the library integrated all types of the library services such as school library, university library, etc. And it also integrated all the services of the media centers and the press centers, etc. to library services. And the new library services began in the environment. Librarians worked for these new services. In the library, the librarians distingushed the library system from the environment by planning : mission, goal, objectives, policy, procedures and rules. Library organization became temporary such as forming task forces or matrix or free form. The environment controlled the library. Staffs were controlled by plans or computers. And the professional librarians were controlled by their ability to solve problems raised outside the libraries. Library leaders brought in the technology to the library from its environment. The librarians led the formal and informal organizations so that the staffs cooperated well in their work. And librarians tought the library procedures to the partime workers or the temporary staffs. Participative management and management by objectives were the means of motivating staffs. Budget was based on the ever changing environment. The zero based budget method was applied. Therfore, in the information society, the professional librarians become the able managers in the library and global librarians in the environment.

본 논문은 가상현실의 한 분야인 VRML 저작도구의 설계와 구현에 고나하여 기술하였다. 가장 효과적인 장면생성과 Graphic Library (OpengL)와 VRML Noderks의 매칭 구현을 통하여 Objects 의 Rendering 수준을 한 차원 높이고, COM 기반의 Parser 사용으로 저작도구 구현에 효율성과 재사용성을 극대화하며, 3차원 모델링을 모다 손쉽게 저작할수 있는 저작도구를 구현하였다. 3차원 모델링 기술의 기반 구조가 취약한 국내에서 이 분야 기술력의 축적과 함께 3차원 모델링 기술을 이용한 응용 제품 개발의 저변확대와 다양한 유형의 쇼핑몰 구현 기반 기술 확보등의 효과를 거둘 수 있다.

새로운 정보환경과 기술변화로 도서관 시스템에도 많은 요구변화가 생겨나게 되었다. 이와 같은 변화의 대안으로 나타나고 있는 것이 오픈소스 소프트웨어(Open Source Software)다. 해외에서는 도서관 오픈소스 소프트웨어의 필요에 의해 현재 발전.보급되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 관종별(공공, 대학, 전문)도서관의 도서관 시스템 현황과 해외 오픈소스 소프트웨어보급 및 판매 현황을 조사하여 분석하였다. 현황조사와 분석결과를 통해 국내 도서관의 오픈소스 소프트웨어 도입의 필요성을 제기하고자 한다.

After 1970s, because of an increasing peoples for higher education and graduate school-oriented education system, quantities of thesis were produced for short term and they began to be an important part of gift materials in university libraries. As an unpublished documents, thesis is narrow in subject, deep in content, irregular is page, incomplete in binding and produce limited-edition during short time simultaneously at most institutions. So most libraries are in difficulties for acquisition processing and circulation. Because of an increasing number of thesis will be produce and cutback of budget, shortage of staff, library service for user will be difficult and rational and efficient management is absolutely essential to library. In form and content, thesis is in distinction with other library materials, they must be handler as an independent item and library will seek an a n.0, ppropriate processing and using method of them. Analysis and synthesis of this study are summarized as follows. 1. In acquisition of thesis, it is desirable that they has an independent accession book with a simplified processing procedure and the binding of them is desirable together with subject field(major or department) by institutions. 2. In classification and cataloging of thesis, it is rational that library use the same classification scheme as other materials and expand in details. Simplified catalog will be reduce the time and/or personnel problem than using the traditional KCR or AACR. 3. As an retrieval tool, author, title, shelf and subject catalog must be prepared in thesis room. Index of thesis will be available for retrieval with the trend of union list and Korean periodicals index (National Assembly Library, Republic of Korea) must include the thesis. 4. Because of the nature and characteristics of thesis, library has to equip an independent room and open stack for the a n.0, ppropriate retrieval and frequent use. Qualified librarian must serve for the efficient circulation service.

It is widely known that the public library in Korea has not been developed as a social agency which makes communication process possible. The public library in Korea just plays a role of the public study room for students using their own books. There is almost no public libraries in the sense of an open collection of comprehensive materials designed for use by anyone who seeks information. This study starts from this situation. It aims at identifying the present stage of the development of public libraries in Korea through investigating librarians' consciousness in their everyday lives. For this, a case study method is used for investingating, collecting and organizing the 'discourse' of librarians in Pusan and Kyongsangnamdo area. Major suggestions include : First of all, it is most important for public library reformation to eradicate the 'conservatism' in the consciousness of librarians in their everyday lives. So, it is essential to collect their life stories in various library conditions, and make them public discourse of librarians. Secondly, the professional organization should play a role to unify the librarians. For this role, it should maintain a R&D department and strengthen PR programs. Thirdly, Researchers who study Library and Information Science in Korea should be always concerned with the real-life context in the field. The most important type of research in our third world situation is the one that is based on the present stage of the development of our own libraries and the real library situation in the field.

빅딜은 각 출판사가 발행하는 학술지를 패키지로 묶어 일괄 판매하는 것으로 전자학술지 등장 이후 급격히 확산되었다. 이 연구는 국내의 대학 및 연구도서관에서 구독하고 있는 해외학술지 컨소시엄 조건에 관한 데이터를 수집하여 빅딜판매의 조건 및 상황을 분석하였다. 분석결과 과거에 비해 최근의 빅딜판매 조건은 보다 다양해졌고 선택의 폭도 다소 넓어진 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 그렇지만 주요 출판사의 경우에는 여전히 과거 구독분을 그대로 유지할 것을 요구하는 등 전형적인 빅딜판매 조건을 고수하고 있어 이에 대한 보완 및 대체 방안 수립이 시급한 것으로 드러났다. 전자출판물의 보급이 확산되면서 현재 학술출판물 시장도 급격하게 변하고 있는 만큼 향후에는 전통적인 출판방식과 오픈 액세스 출판방식을 결합한 새로운 출판방식이 호응을 얻을 것으로 기대되는 바이다.

Developing highly cost-efficient and reliable embedded systems demands hardware/software co-design and co-simulation due to fast TTM and verification issues. So, it is essential that Platform-Based SoC design methodology be used for enhanced reusability. This paper addresses a reusable SoC platform based on OpenCores soft processor with reconfigurable architectures for hardware/software codesign methodology. The platform includes a OpenRISC microprocessor, some basic peripherals and WISHBONE bus and it uses the set of development environment including compiler, assembler, and debugger. The platform is very flexible due to easy configuration through a system configuration file and is reliable because all designed SoC and IPs are verified in the various test environments. Also the platform is prototyped using the Xilinx Spartan3 FPGA development board and is implemented to a single chip using the Magnachip cell library based on $0.18{\mu}m$ 1-poly 6-metal technology.

Sensing is an important part of a smart home system. Vision sensors are a type of passive systems, which are not sensitive to noise. In this paper, we implement a prototype for stereo vision systems using OpenCV. It is an open source library for computer vision developed by Intel corporation. The prototype will by used for comparing performance among various stereo algorithms and for developing a stereo vision smart camera.

CrossRef는 DOI 식별자 및 학술메타정보를 수집할 수 있는 다양한 쿼리(OpenAPI)를 제공하고 있으며, 이를 활용해 출판사 및 정보서비스 기관에서 다양한 서비스를 개발하도록 독려하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 CrossRef에서 제공하는 쿼리를 면밀히 분석하였으며, 다양한 방법으로 DOI를 자동수집 하는 API를 개발하였다. 또한 자체적으로 학술메타데이터를 보유한 기관이 개발된 API를 활용할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

VWorld is run by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of South Korea and provides national spatial information, such as aerial images, digital elevation models, and 3D structural models. We propose herein an open platform for 3D spatial information based on WebGL using spatial information from VWorld. WebGL is a web-based graphics library and has the advantage of being compatible with various web browsers. Our open platform is also compatible with various web browsers. Accordingly, it is easily accessible via the VWorld site and uses the three-dimensional (3D) map program. In this study, we describe the proposed platform configuration, and the requests, management, and visualization approaches for VWorld spatial information data. Our aim is to establish an approach that will provide a stable rendering speed even on a low-end personal computer without a graphics processing unit based on a quadtree structure. We expect that users will be able to visualize 3D spatial information through the VWorld open platform, and that the proposed platform will become the basis for various applications.
