  • Many universities are offering some of their offline courses for anyone to learn free online as an MOOC format. University libraries In response to changing university conditions, foreign university libraries are struggling to redefine their roles and provide new services. This study aimed to find the trends and models to support MOOCs in foreign libraries and Library and information science domain by conducting a systematic review of studies on foreign library and information journals which have been published from 2012 to 2015. A total of 34 out of 348 studies were included in the final analysis. This study also aimed to present the limits and the future models of MOOC support direction. The relevant articles could be identified, two criteria: 24 MOOCs studies relating to Libraries and 10 MOOCs studies related to LIS. The selected articles were summarized and analyzed yearly. The study identifies elements of library MOOC support models in 5 areas including MOOC design (copyright clearance and consulting, content licensing, open content), production support (course production, video editing, librarian MOOC production), management support (instructional design and content creation, students support), evaluation (MOOC data collection, analysis), reuse (MOOC metadata management, archive structure). Based on these findings, this study suggested the models of library MOOC support and set the theoretical fundamentals.

  • With the development of virtual and augmented reality technologies, the metaverse, a digital world that provides an immersive feeling like the real world, is overgrowing. Many IT companies such as Naver, Facebook (Meta), and NVIDIA are developing innovative technologies and launching the Metaverse platform and related products on the market. However, even though it is a new business in which many global big tech companies are aggressively investing, the results are not yet precise compared to the market expectations, and the rate of increase in the number of users is gradually slowing down. This can be attributed to the lack of consideration and understanding about how to grow the metaverse ecosystem and operate & harmonize various users/components from the time the metaverse platform was designed. In order to propose a better solution to these problems, this study adopts the yin-yang and five elements theory, which was created to understand the operation logic and logic of the human world for thousands of years. This research would like to propose a theory of double lines-five elements by defining two essential spaces of the metaverse platform, online and offline, and five essential elements constituting the metaverse platform. This study intends to provide a theoretical lens on how to design and operate a platform through the double lines and five elements theory and the concept of coexistence and polarity between the five elements.

  • The development and generalization of the Internet increased the popularity of food delivery service applications in Korea. The food delivery market based on online-to-offline service is growing rapidly. This study compares the usability of Korean food delivery service application between that of Chinese food delivery service application. This study suggests improvement points for Korean food delivery service applications. To conduct this study, we explore the status of various food delivery service applications and conduct interviews and surveys based on the honeycomb model developed by Peter Morville. This study obtained the following results. First, all restaurants participating in the Korean food delivery service must be able to accept order through the application. Second, the shopping cart function must be able to accept order of all restaurants simultaneously. Third, when users look for menu recommendation, their purchase history and shopping cart functions should appear at the first page of the website. Users should be able to perceive the improved usability of the website using those functions. Fourth, when the search window is fixed on the top of each page, users should be able to find the information they need. Fifth, the application must allow users to find the exact location of the delivery person and the estimated delivery time. Finally, the restaurants'address should be disclosed and fast delivery time should be confirmed to enhance users'trust on the application. This study contributes to academia and industry by suggesting useful insight into food delivery service applications and improving the point of food delivery service application in Korea.

As maker culture was developed, the places named 'Makerspace' with high-tech equipment and sharing environment have been widely spread and gotten spotlight. Futhermore, makerspaces have been diffused rapidly in Korea; because of its importance for the fourth industrial revolution. However, the operation of makerspaces is not matured as much as its popularity, so problems occurred in operating aspects. The number of related studies is not enough to foster domestic maker culture in Korea. Of that, studies on operation of makerspaces were limited and the quantity of survey sample was insufficient. Therefore, firstly, in this study, operation elements of makerspaces were extracted by literature review. And, survey for examining the extracted elements was conducted to four policy makers and researchers, four makerspace operators and four makers. Final survey was carried out by Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) method to fifty recipients composed of policy makers and researchers, operators, and makers. In result, importance located above performance in every elements and in-depth interview was followed to understand domestic surroundings and suggest way to invigorate makerspaces in Korea. The suggestion shows as follows. First, online and offline platform for makers should be expanded; second, makerspace should connect private sponsorship with makers or their projects; third, policy direction has to be improved from venturing business to diffusion of maker culture; fourth, basic maker education should be enlarged.

A beacon in which is attracting attention as next-generation technology. Beacon is a terminal by utilizing the frequency of the non-audible area can not be bluetooth and human sending and receiving terminals and information, Apple recently iBeacon like a low-power Bluetooth (BLE; bluetooth low energy) based beacon showing a tendency to rise into the mainstream there. Services using a beacon is basically installs the terminal in a certain place indoor. It is characterized by providing the user the services to catch the user's position, even automatically take a separate action. Various types of location-based service provided by the target interior space began to attract attention. A variety of location-based services are provided in the interior space in order to be successfully deployed and provide guidance to the interior space, the movement route and the like are essentially required to build various types of information. • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of partial-cyber and full-cyber lectures and explore directions for improvement. This study compared the mean scores of course evaluation for traditional face-to-face lectures, partial-cyber lectures of blended instruction, and full-cyber lectures. Also, this study interviewed instructors of full-cyber lectures to investigate the ways to enhance the lecture quality. The findings suggest that the course evaluation scores for full-cyber university were consistently lower than those for other types of lectures for four semesters between the years of 2011 and 2012. Results also showed that mean scores of partial-cyber lectures were the same as those of face-to-face lectures. After all, class satisfaction in full-cyber courses that learning occurs in cyber space was the lowest. Instructors who taught full-cyber lectures proposed that enrollment should not be within 60 students and professional assistance should be provided for lectures exceeding 60 students. Finally, they suggested content updates through a collaborative system with professionals, instructors' efforts to enhance interaction in both online and offline contexts, and learning quantity rationalization.
