A digital library could be understood as not a part of information cycling, but whole process of information production, circulation and reproduction. This study suggests that a digital library should be a creator as which it is publishing, circulating, and re-producing the information resources. Therefore, the role of intrinsic DRM (Digital Resources Management) can be interpreted as a digital library. Open access model have been already adopted to many university libraries, many university libraries are publishing free access online research resources by themselves. Also, research collection based on cloud computing can be extended to networked research collection and share with other university libraries. These evidences show future library can be the digital library with online and open accessible publishing function.

In this paper, we present an efficient method for simulating massively virtual clients in an online game environment. Massively multi-player online games and other multi-user based networked applications are becoming more attractive to the gamer players. Such kind of technology has long been researched in the area called Networked Virtual Environments. In the game development process, a set of beta tests is used to ensure the stability of online game servers. A set of testing processes consumesa lot of development resources such as cost, time, and etc. The purpose of VENUS system is to provide an automated beta test environment to the game developers to efficiently test the online games to reduce development resources.

Kimchi, a centuries-old Korean fermented food, has gained global popularity due to increased interest in Korean cuisine. However, little is known about the actual status of kimchi information provided by major foreign online encyclopedias. In this study, we analyzed the content and quality of kimchi information in major foreign online encyclopedias, such as Baidu Baike, Encyclopædia Britannica, Citizendium, and Wikipedia. Our results revealed that the kimchi information provided by these encyclopedias was often inaccurate or inadequate, despite kimchi being a fundamental part of Korean cuisine. The most common inaccuracies were related to the definition and origins of kimchi and its ingredients and preparation methods. Our findings highlight the need for more accurate and reliable information about kimchi in major foreign online encyclopedias. This is particularly important in the context of promoting Korean food culture and increasing international awareness of kimchi. To achieve this, the collaborative efforts of Korean food experts and online encyclopedias are needed to ensure the accurate representation of kimchi in these resources. In conclusion, our study shows that foreign online encyclopedias often contain incomplete, inaccurate information about kimchi. This shortcoming must be addressed to promote a more accurate and comprehensive understanding of kimchi and Korean cuisine.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the current state of foreign online databases in the field of Science and Technology. Evaluation of databases is becoming increasingly important for information users and for information providers as well. Previous research studies on evaluation of Science & Technology databases were summarized. This paper examined major online databases of Science & Technology with a short annotation. And the results of analysis by subject fields, by publishers, by frequency, by online availability of 618 titles were also described.

Web based online real-time reliability integrated information system is asked rapidly for more efficiency and demand response in recent. As the utilization of renewable resources has been receiving considerable attention in recent years, the information system requirement is increased. Specially, the reliability information system is more important for implementing the smart grid. This paper describes architecture of the WORRIS(Web based Online Real-time Reliability Integrated Information System) Version 7.0 system that simulates the reliability indices in composite power system considering wind turbine generators(WTG) developed successfully in this paper. And we had simulated the case study using Jeju island power system data.

The aims of automation efforts in libraries are the rationalization of interval work and improvement of user services. After a period of exclusive internal computer utilization, later voluntary contact with the computer (e.g., circulation control with self services), patrons of American libraries now have to go to a computer terminal if they want certain information. Online public access catalogs(OPAC) have been used in American libraries since the end of the seventies. But OP AC are accepted by patron only if they have a useful and flexible user interface. This paper briefly describes the use of online catalogs in different type of libraries, categories of user (user, non-user), aspect of catalog use in context with computer experience etc. The disscussion then focuses on the characteristics of the final report of online catalog use study of Council on Library Resources and user problems in searching, as reported in many other catalog use studies.

Most of records in the catholic church archives are not only meaningful records of religion but also crucial information for history and various cultural studies. Although the catholic archives are regarded as the fundamental information resources for various studies, they are not easily accessible yet. Current online services of catholic archives were categorized by three types and online services of catholic archives were investigated in the three aspects, structure and design, contents, and interface. The major problem of current online services is the lack of digital contents, so this study suggested 5 steps for digital contents development to utilize online services of catholic archival information.

This paper introduces BEYTrans (Better Environment for Your TRANSlation), the first experimental environment for free online collaborative computer-aided translation. The requirements and functionalities related to individual translators and communities of translators are distinguished and described. These functionalities have been integrated in a Wiki-based complete environment, equipped with all currently possible asynchronous linguistic resources and translation aids. Functions provided by BEYTrans are also compared with existing CAT systems and ongoing experiments are discussed.
