Purchase of Foreign Books using Online Bookstores

온라인 서점을 이용한 외국도서 구입에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to examine how librarians can utilize the online bookstores in their acquisition work. For this purpose, this article examines the procedures and matters to be attended of purchasing foreign books using online bookstores. And reviews several online bookstores in the Internet.

인터넷의 등장과 이의 빠른 보급은 우리 사회, 특히 정보를 다루는 전보센터의 업무에 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 이러한 환경변화에 대응하기 위하여 정보분야 종사자들은 인터넷을 정보센터의 업무에 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색해야 한다. 본 고의 목적은 인터넷을 활용하여 도서를 구입하는 방안을 모색하고자 한 것으로, 이를 위하여 인터넷상의 온라인 서점을 이용하여 도서를 구입하는 방법과 주문시의 유의사항, 그리고 주문절차를 살펴보고, 대표적인 온라인 서점들의 주문관련사항을 조사하였다.
