This paper uses a data mining approach to develop bankruptcy prediction models suitable for traditional (off-line) companies and electronic (on-line) companies. It observes the differences in the composition prediction models between these two types of companies and provides interpretation of bankruptcy classifications. The bankruptcy prediction models revealed the major variables in predicting bankruptcy to be 'cash flow to total assets' and 'gross value-added to net sales' for traditional off-line companies while 'cash flow to liabilities','gross value-added to net sales', and 'current ratio' for electronic companies. The accuracy rates of final prediction models for traditional off-line and electronic companies were found to be $84.7\%\;and\;82.4\%$, respectively. When the model for traditional off-line companies was applied for electronic companies, prediction accuracy dropped significantly in the case of bankruptcy classification (from $70.4\%\;to\;45.2\%$) at the level of a blind guess ($41.30\%$). Therefore, the need for different models for traditional off-line and electronic companies is justified.

Internet-based retail business spreads rapidly in Korea. Companies are trying to develop and use various strategic capabilities. The strategies employed by those companies include activities related to the design of shopping sites, market positionsing, facilitation of purchasing process, payment mechanism, and the provision of various consumer services. However, the success of these strategies depends on various environmental factors and internal capability of the companies. Especially, balancing activities performed on-line with those performed off-line is suggested to be essential. In this study, we examined three successful Internet shopping mall companies and compared them to draw useful guidelines for balancing shopping mall strategies - on - line vs. off - line. These three companies were selected because they are all considered sucessful by now, but brought different backgrounds.

The live-line works are very dangerous works on direct contacts or neighboring contacts with the distribution line. But most of domestic electrical construction companies that have performed live-line works are small-scale companies. Accordingly, safety management system and manuals to insure worker's safety haven't sufficiently had. In this paper, risk and status of accidents for the live-line works were analyzed and the necessity of introducting risk assessment for live-line works was identified by a questionnaire survey of electrical construction companies and education institutions.

Customer Satisfaction (CS) in Auto insurance market is the important factor which makes customer loyalty and retention increase. Recently On-line companies are threatening the existing Off-line companies with taking advantage of the low price through cut-offing the price by internet marketing. Therefore, the CS is becoming an indispensable survival strategy to the Off-line companies. Under these circumstances, this study finds out what the CS factors are in the auto insurance market, and produces levels of CS, customer loyalty and satisfaction Index of each category. The purpose of this study is to suggest the strategic improvement factor for elevating CS level and strategic direction for CS management by CS portfolio analysis based on the survey result.

The purpose of this study lies in enhancing an understanding of on-line collaboration among manufacturing companies for innovation. To meet this purpose, this study adopts Eisenhart(1989)'s case study approach to explore the success factors of on-line collaboration among Korean small-medium-sized manufacturing companies. Firstly, an exhaustive case study is conducted for four collaboration hubs in the Korean injection mold industry. This study identify the success factors through a structured questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews based on experts of K Institute, which performs the overall management of the collaboration hubs, and personnel of the participating businesses and vendors. Secondly, AHP analysis is conducted to identify the priorities among the success factors. Finally, several propositions of on-lin collaboration are derived.

In this paper, we developed a system for large scale on-line interactive game server based on Platform as a Service(PaaS). Small and medium sized game developing companies have various aspects of limitation to launch a large scale on line game site. By using the system proposed in this paper, small and medium sized game developing companies can easily publish their games into market.

The live line working is inherently dangerous as the workers have to work under the risk of electrical shock and most of works are carried out at height. The live line working need the some specific techniques and higher level safety measures such as a risk assessment to carry out works safely, but the electrical construction companies performed live-line working are usually small-sized companies. They have less capacity to have own safety management system. This study intended to conduct an in-depth analysis on the cause of electric shock accidents to provide basic data for policy proposing taking into considering the past eleven years for a long-term plan. And the aim of this study is to propose the policy about the equipment performance standards and/or worker's safety standards to revise the standards for preventing electric shock accidents, moreover, co-relation of the electrical work order form and on safety workings, especially electrical construction company/work.

In Korea, Private security companies has steadily grown and amounts to 2,051 places as of November 30, 2002. Private security in korea is carrying out firm name role assignment to have held the police and public peace environment change factors for a standard faithfully, and protects social a little property that is a basic purpose, and it is spare no efforts in loss prevention. In spite of numeral increase of private security companies, private security companies have many problem. Moreover, they mostly did not have any remarkable in-house expertises in their own business under tough conditions. Under the unfavorable circumstances including insufficient investment and education in private security guard, there have been actually little further studies on private security business in practices. So this study mainly focused on addressing the installation security business managed by authorized companies, which amount to 96%(1,963 companies) of total 2,051 domestic security companies. Furthermore, the study formulated and modeled a series of business procedures in private security companies. This study focusses pattern draft and grading of jeans for women in their 20s, who consume jeans the most. Pattern was drafted based on existing patterns collected from companies. It is different from the existing educational patterns. It suggests new sizing system for twenties referring to sizes used companies and grading rule and method. he results were as follows; 1. Companies manufacture 2-8 sizes and they referred to the Korean Industrial Standards, KS K 0051, for their sizing system. 2. Drawing method for Pattern of the study had following measurements for each part: in the case of waist circumference, front part was W/4+1.5cm, back part was W14+2cm, front hip circumference was H/4-1.5cm, crotch line was the crotch length (practical measurement), hip circumference was (upper crotch line length)/5+0.5cm, front crotch part was 2.7cm, back crotch part was W/5+2.7cm, knee height was (the length of leg)/2+6cm and the circumference of knee and the tip of pants were 40cm. Through the wearing test on the subject of twenties, researched pattern received higher ratings, especially in appearance than the existing pattern. 3. 5 sizes system was made referred to the sizing system of companies and National Anthropometric Survey of Korean in 1997 Grading rule for 12 grading points of front part and 13 grading points of back part was suggested. Results of wearing test on the graded patterns showed high ratings similar to standard size.
