This study tried to find the source of the success of on-line game sites and the way how the absorption and the satisfaction would have the relationship with the intention-to-use of on-line game sites. The primary purpose of this study is to establish the empirical model on the determinants of on-line game sites. The research model of this study will have insights which are trigger to the higher dimensions on the model and to the importance of the evaluation criterions of game sites. The suggestions of the study are as follows. First, the precedent factors of research model were tested for the commonality with explorative factor analysis and then tried the confirmative factor analysis. Thus, the determinants in this model will be used for further study without an evaluation. Second, the factors which have a most significant effect on the mediating factor like the absorption are a skill of user and an activity of community. Furthermore, the information quality of game sites was most significant in the satisfaction of user. Third, the most factors which included in the research model were significant to intention-to-use, however, the system quality did negatively significant.
Direct Write Technologies are being utilized in various industrial fields such as antennas, engineered structures, sensors and tissue engineering. With Direct Write Technologies, producing features have the mesoscale range, from 1 to 100 microns. One form of the Direct Write Technologies is based on aerosol dynamics. The shape of deposited aerosols determine the form of products in the Direct Write Technology based on aerosol dynamics. To predict shape of deposited aerosol, a prediction model is created. In this study, we estimated Line-Width and Line-Thickness from the prediction model. Results of prediction model is valid from comparison with experimental results.

This paper deals with the problem of mixed model assembly line balancing. In mixed model assembly lines, tsks should be assigned to stations in such a manner that all stations have approximately the same amount of work on a production cycle basis. Further in balancing assembly lines, the related tasks, the performing task side and the team tasks should be considered to improve work methods, to give more job satisfaction to workers, and to allow greater flexibility in the design of assembly lines. In this paper, the heuristic dispatch assignment rule is developed to assign evenly tasks of each model to all stations. The heuristic method based on the assignment rule developed is presented for mixed model assembly line balancing with the considerations of the related tasks, the performing task side, and the team tasks. The proposed method is analyzed, and compared with other methods for line balancing.

A mathematical model was developed for the prediction of the average temperature and RDT(RM Delivery temperature) in a roughing mill. The model consisted of three parts as follows (1) The intermediate numerical model calculated the deformation and heat transfer phenomena in the rolling: region by steady state FEM and the heat transfer phenomena in the interpass region by unsteady state FEM (2) The Off-line prediction model was derived from non-linear regression analysis based on the results of intermediate numerical model considering the various rolling conditions, (3) Using the heat flux in rolling region, temperature profile along thickness direction was calculated. For validation of the presented model, the rolling force per pass and RDT measued in on-line process was compared with those of model and the results showed close agreement with the existing data. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model, the various rolling conditions was tested.

The friction is one of the nonlinearities to be considered in the precise position control of a system which has electromechanical components. The friction has complicated nonlinear characteristics and depends on the velocity, the position and the time. The conventional fixed friction compensator and the controller based on linear control theory may cause the steady state position error or oscillation. The plant to be controlled in this study is a positioning system with a linear brushless DC motor(LBLDCM). The system behaves like a 4th-order model including the compliance and the friction. In this study, the plant model is simplified to a 2nd-order model to reduce the computation in on- line estimation. Also, to reduce the computation time, only the friction is estimated on-line while the mass and the viscous damping coefficient are fixed to the values obtained from off-line estimation. The validity of the proposed scheme is illustrated with the computer simulation and the experiment where the friction is compensated by using the estimation.

This paper presents a new method that can efficiently solve the integrated problem of line balancing and model sequencing in mixed model assembly lines (MMALs). Line balancing and model sequencing are important for an efficient use of MMALs. The two problems of balancing and sequencing MMALs are tightly related with each other. However, In almost all the existing researches on mixed-model production lines, the two problems have been considered separately. In this research, an endosymbiotic evolutionary a1gorithm, which is a kind of coevolutionary a1gorithm, is adopted as a methodology in order to solve the two problems simultaneously. This paper shows how to apply an endosymbiotic evolutionary a1gorithm to solving the integrated problem. Some evolutionary schemes are used In the a1gorithm to promote population diversity and search efficiency. The proposed a1gorithm is compared with the existing evolutionary algorithms in terms of solution quality and convergence speed. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness of our approach.
The air pollutant emission is mainly caused by line sources in urban area. For example, the annually totaled air pollutant emission is known to consist of about 80% of line sources in Daegu. Hence, the appropriate assessment on the air pollutants of line sources is very important for the atmospheric environmental management in urban area. In this study, we made a comparative study to evaluate suitable dispersion model for estimating the air pollution from line sources. Two air pollution dispersion models, ISCST3 and CALINE4 were the subject of this study. The results were as follows; In the assessment of air pollution model, ISCST3 was found to have 4 times higher concentration than CALINE4. In addition, actual data obtained by measurement and estimated values by CALINE4 were generally identical. The air pollution assessment based on ISC3 model produced significantly lower values than actual data. The air pollution levels estimated by ISCST3 were very low in comparison with the observational values.

This paper presents an on-line finite element model updating method for in-service structures using measured data. Conventional updating methods, which are based on numerical optimization, are not efficient for on-line updating because they generally require repeated eigenvalue analyses until convergence criteria are met. The proposed method enables fully automated on-line finite element model updating, almost simultaneously with vibration measurement, without any user intervention or off-line procedures. The automated covariance-driven stochastic subspace identification (Cov-SSI) method is utilized to identify modal frequencies and vectors, and the identified modal data is fed to the neural network of the inverse eigenvalue function to produce the updated finite element model parameters. Numerical examples for a wind excited 20-story building structure shows that the proposed method can update the series of finite element model parameters automatically. It is also shown that sudden changes in the structural parameters can be detected and traced successfully.

The design of automobile body assembly line is one of essential parts for improving the process performance. The major objective of this research is to develop a performance evaluation model for automobile assembly line using a closed queueing network(CQN) and simulation method. In this study we used a two-step approach to compute the performance of the assembly line : first, we used CQN model considering assembly line equipments and the line operating time under the assumption of no failure, and second we used a well-known simulator FACTOR/AIM. Finally we implemented this model on a K automobile company and we have shown the sample results of automobile body assembly line.
This paper is concerned with a theoretical study on the local load-carrying capacities of Concrete-Filled Circular Tubular(CFCT) column to H-beam connections by yield line theory. In this paper, the three cases which are assumed the yield line are involved. The first model is a simplified yield line model. The second model is modified by x and kx factors. The last one is a Morita's model. The local load-carrying capacities of CFCT column to H-beam connections has been studied both experimentally and theoretically using the yield line theory. The purpose of this paper is to suggest the basic data for developing the non-diaphragm connection.
