Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between life satisfaction, awareness of their old age, and preparation for their old age among dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 258 dental hygienists in Seoul, Gyeonggido, Incheon and Gangwondo from September 30 to October 30, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics (10 items), life satisfaction (10 items), awareness of old age (13 items) and preparation for old age (23 items). Respondents were asked to choose on the Likert 5-point scale. Results:Significant relationships were found between life satisfaction, awareness about old age and preparation for old age among dental hygienists (p<0.01): physical preparation for old age was related to life satisfaction; economic preparation for old age was related to life satisfaction, awareness for old age, 10 or more years of experience as dental hygienist and having offspring (two or more children). Psycho-emotional preparation for old age was related to life satisfaction and awareness for old age. Conclusions:It is necessary to find ways to increase life satisfaction and awareness of old age for their old age among dental hygienists.

The purpose of this study is to explore what makes the elderly women resilient in old age and how they reconstruct their later lives. This study used life histories extracted from tape-recorded interviews of 13 elderly women and analyzed key issues focused on how to adapt in old age. Main results are following: First, emerging themes to maintain life satisfaction in old age are related to both informants' inner and outer life worlds; subjective reinterpretation of life, feeling rich, family, social activities, overcoming social stigma. With supporting and supplementing one another, these five dimensions are important contributors to better later life. Second, where my informants search for meaning of life in old age is the critical clue of understanding the later life styles. Some of them are still searching meaning of life in roles as a ‘mother’, while others are finding their sense of worth outside the family or in themselves. These results show that the elderly are interacting with themselves and their surroundings in adapting to old age and different tie styles according to different sources of life satisfaction manifest the changes among the elderly and Korean society.

The purpose of this study is to explain. It also examines and compares factors influencing life satisfaction among the middle-aged at various income levels. The data source for this study was the third additional wave and the fourth wave of the Korean Retirement and Income The study sample consisted of 1,723 middle-aged (age 50-64) individuals. The data analysis methods included the chi-square test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, there was a positive relationship between old age preparation and life satisfaction. Second, it was found that old age preparations (physical, emotional, social, financial) and life satisfaction show meaningful relationships among the income levels. Third, old age preparation was found to have different meaningful impacts on life satisfaction among the income levels. The results of this study verify the degree of the relationship between old age preparation and life satisfaction and the different impact factors relating to old age preparation for life satisfaction among the income levels.

본 연구는 급속한 한국의 인구 고령화로 노후설계의 필요성이 증대되고 있음에도 불구하고 사회와 다소 소외되어 있는 군인을 대상으로 노후생활인식이 노후설계준비에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구결과 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 차이는 2개 영역(경제적 여가)의 노후설계준비에서 계급, 학력, 종교, 가정구성에서 유의한 차이를 보였으나 신체적 영역에서는 재산만이 유의한 차이를 보여 군 특성이 반영된 결과를 나타냈다. 예비 전역자의 노후생활인식이 노후설계준비에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지의 연구에서는 노후생활인식을 '성공적인 노후생활의 인식'과 '노후에 예상되는 문제점 인식'으로 상반된 개념의 두 가지 요인을 적용한 결과, 이들은 2개 영역(경제적 여가)의 노후설계준비에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 요인이었으나 신체적 영역에서는 유의하지 않았다. 전직지원교육 학습활동의 조절효과는 노후생활인식 중 '예상되는 문제점 인식'에 조절효과가 나타났으나 '성공노년 인식'요인에는 나타나지 않았다.

This study aims to understand the meaning that learning of the old age has, through old age learners who augustly live after retirement-life so called successful silver years. Qualitative research methods is used for analyzing the contents of articles about 15 old age learners and the results are follows below. First, the retirement has dual meaning for the old learners. One is they experienced psychological and emotional insecurity after retirement and the other is it is a turning point for them to realize their longtime dream. Second, the old age learners showed enthusiasm about learning and they voluntarily found the way of success in their silver years. Finally, the old age learners working in new career with provocative and enthusiastic attitude work as a role model of successful old age life and show how they progress. This study argued that we need to consider the old as active agents and the old age as the time when productive and continuous learning can be done. In addition, this study strongly insisted that we need to realize the importance of 'education by the elderly' and social and other relevant conditions are needed to be established immediately.

This study is to analyze dwelling environmental planning in old age of middle age. For this purpose. the data were collected by using questionnaire distributed to 332. The data were analyzed by Chisquare test. The major findings of this research were as follow: 1. In housing plan of old age. they prefer new house .that is not exisiting house. independent house and ordindry housing region in the suburbs of urban. 2. It is 69.3～99 square meter what size of house is suitable for independent life of aged person for living with children. it is 102.3～132 square meter. 3. In the stage of independent or semi-independent life. they want aged couple-independent life. In the stage of dependent life. they want to be cared with children. 4. The garden(madang) is the most important space for age couple in establishing housing plan. They want to amplity life recuperation center and job providing facilities. In old age housing project. they prefer housing type with facility that combine old age house with young age house. According to increasement of dependence. the service support system required flexi-care-system.

The purpose of the present study was to examine married female immigrants' life style and marriage satisfaction on the perception of preparing their old age. We also investigated how socio-demographic factors influence their Preparation for old age. For the study, -data were collected from 350 questionnaires obtained from female immigrants living in Chungcheongnam-do. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ tests were conducted for reliability, and regressional analysis was conducted to test our hypotheses. The results of this study shows that there is evidence of relations among the sub-variables. However, we found attitudes to safety and material pursuit are not related to married female immigrants' preparations for their old age. On the other hand, the results indicate that their life style and marriage satisfaction influences their perception of preparing their old age in a positive way. Finally, sociodemographic factors such as gender, age, education, marriage status, occupation and income are shown to affect the women's perception of preparing their old age positively.

본 연구는 중장년층의 노후준비도와 삶의 만족도의 영향관계를 분석하고, 노후준비도와 삶의 만족도 간의 영향관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 서울 경기지역의 중장년층을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, SPSS 25.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 상관관계 분석, 위계적 회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 자기효능감, 사회적 노후준비, 신체적 노후준비, 경제적 노후준비, 학력 순으로 삶의 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 인구학적 특성보다는 심리적 요인이 중장년층의 삶의 만족도에 더 큰 영향요인임을 확인하였다. 또한, 자기효능감은 노후준비도와 삶의 만족도의 영향관계에서 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 중장년층의 삶의 만족도를 올리기 위한 대안과 본 연구의 한계점 및 후속연구에 대해 논의 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of preparation for old age on the life satisfaction, and the mediating effect of productive activities on the relationship between preparation for old and life satisfaction among the old age in Korea. The subject for this study is 226 older adults who participated in the work fare program of community welfare centers. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS WIN(ver.18.0) program, and frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, multiple regression, and Sobel test were utilized. The result revealed that productive activities has a partial mediating effect between preparation for old Age and life satisfaction. Based on these findings, the theoretical and practical implications were discussed.

본 연구는 치과의료기관에서 근무하는 치과위생사를 대상으로 그들의 안정적 노후생활준비의 필요성을 인식시키고, 노후생활준비에 대하여 조사하여 사회적 지원 방향을 모색하고자 실시하였다. 층화추출법으로 표본 추출된 1,560개소 치과의료기관의 치과위생사에게 우편으로 설문지를 발송하여 자기기입에 의한 단면조사를 실시하였다. 노후생활에서 걱정되는 문제점에 대한 결과 '경제'라고 응답한 비율이 가장 높게 나타났다. 경제적 노후준비를 하고 있는 비율이 84.3%로 높게 나타났고, 그 방법으로는 '정기예금 및 적금'이 62.6%로 가장 높았다. 경제적 노후준비 만족도는 평균 2.60으로 불만족하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 노후생활을 위한 신체적 준비의 평균점수는 2.97, 정서적 준비는 3.59, 여가준비는 2.56으로 낮게 나타났다. 결론적으로 우리나라 치과위생사의 노후생활을 위한 경제적 준비 만족도는 낮았고, 신체적, 정서적 및 여가 준비정도 또한 낮게 나타나 30대부터 노후생활준비를 계획하여야 할 것으로 사료된다. 또한 이를 위해 대한치과위생사협회에서는 적극적으로 이들의 은퇴 후 노후생활을 위한 교육, 정책, 제도 등 각종 프로그램을 개발해야 한다.
