상상연습이 노인의 균형 능력과 낙상효능감에 미치는 영향 : 단일대상연구 (Effects of Mental Practice on Balance Ability and Fall Efficacy in Dwelling Elderly Population: Single Subject Design)

  • 목적 : 상상연습(mental practice)이 노인의 균형 능력에 미치는 효과를 규명하고 노인 낙상 예방을 위한 효과적인 중재 방법으로써 적용 가능성에 대해 알아보는 것이었다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2013년 7월부터 10월 까지 인지에 문제가 없고 낙상에 경험이 있지만 보조 도구 없이 자립보행이 가능한 65세 이상 노인 3명에게 상상연습을 제공하였다. 개별 사례 실험 연구 중 ABA' 설계를 사용하여 기초선 과정 4회기, 중재 과정 5회기, 재 기초선 과정 4회, 총 13회기로 진행되었다. 독립변수는 노인의 균형 능력 및 낙상 효능감 증진을 위해 상상연습을 사용하였고, 종속변수로는 전반적 균형능력의 변화를 알아보기 위해 버그 균형 척도(Berg Blance Scale; BBS), 낙상효능감에 변화를 알아보기 위해 낙상효능감척도(Fall Efficacy Scale: FES), 정적, 동적 균형에 변화를 측정하기 위해 각각 외다리기립검사(One-Leg Standing test; OLS), 일어나 걸어가기 검사(Timed Up & Go test : TUG)를 실시하였다. 결과 분석은 평균값과 시각적 그래프를 통해 제시하였다. 결과 : 상상연습 기법 적용 후 모든 대상자의 낙상효능감이 기초선 과정에서 측정된 수치 보다 증가된 결과를 보였으며 또한 전반적 균형 능력과 정적 동적 균형 능력 또한 증진 또는 유지 되었다. 결론 : 본 연구는 상상연습이 노인의 낙상효능감과 균형능력의 향상과 유지에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났음으로 노인의 낙상 예방 활동으로 상상연습의 적용을 추천한다.

과제 지향적 프로그램이 뇌졸중환자의 균형과 상지기능에 미치는 효과: 단일사례연구 (Effects of Task-Oriented programme on Balance and Upper Extremity in stroke)

  • 목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 과제 지향적 프로그램이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형과 상지기능에 미치는 효과에 대해 알아보고자 단일 사례 연구를 실시하였다. 연구방법 : 연구 대상자는 뇌졸중 진단을 받은 자로 균형검사는 Time up & go 검사, Nintendo Wii Balance Board Test로 실시하였고, 상지기능은 Manual Function Test(MFT)로 측정하였다. 과제지향적 프로그램은 운동처리 기술평가(AMPS)의 표준화된 과제 중 셔츠다리기, 자루걸레로 바닥 청소하기, 창문 청소하기, 손빨래하기를 환자에게 맞게 수정 보완하여 실시하였다. 이에 대한 결과는 다음과 같다. 결과 : 환자의 동적 균형능력은 기초선 평균 51.53에서 42.62로 향상되었고, 정적 균형능력은 기초선에서는 좌우 균형차이가 평균 13.8 났으나, 중재 후 좌우 균형차이가 6.29로 보다 0에 가까워져 좌-우 균형이 안정되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 상기기능은 MFT 검사결과 평균이 6점에서 7.6점으로의 증가 되었다. 결론 : 일상생활활동 과제로 구성된 과제지향 프로그램은 뇌졸중환자의 균형과 상지기능 향상에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 따라서 향후 본 연구의 결과를 일반화 시킬 수 있도록 다양한 유형과 특성을 가진 뇌졸중 환자들에 대한 연구가 지속되어야 할 것이다.

서비스직 여성근로자의 일과 삶의 균형에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Work-life Balance in Female Service Workers)

  • Purpose: The study aimed to identify factors influencing work-life balance in female service workers. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with an online survey of 234 service workers using volunteer panels. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire from July 16 to 24, 2017. Major variables included work-life balance, resilience, emotional intelligence, job stress, and fatigue. Using the SPSS 24.0 program, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. Results: The mean score of the work-life balance level of female service workers was $2.9{\pm}0.85$ on a total score of 6. A multiple regression analysis revealed that smoking, resilience, job stress and fatigue were statistically significant factors in the model (p<.001), with an explanatory power of 50.3%. Emotional intelligence was not significantly associated with work-life balance. Conclusion: The level of work-life balance was considerably low in female service workers. This study suggests that nursing interventions to enhance work-life balance are required at both the individual and organizational levels.

콜 센터 상담원의 웰니스에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing the Wellness of Call Center Employees)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors influencing the wellness of call center employees. Methods: From December 2018 to October 2019, a cross-sectional study was conducted with 155 workers recruited from the call centers in Seoul, South Korea. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires. The questionnaires were used to measure the following scales: Korean occupational stress scale, emotional labor scale, work-life balance scale and wellness scale. Using the SPSS 26.0 program, the descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. Results: The mean score of the wellness level of call center employees was 3.05 out of a maximum of 5.00. More wellness level of call center employees was associated with gender, psychiatric diagnosis, and call characteristics. A multiple regression analysis indicated that the total scores on the wellness scale were predicted by call characteristics, occupational stress and work-life balance, with an explanatory power of 42.2%. Conclusion: Study findings show that it is necessary to promote wellness in call center workers with differentiated strategies according to call characteristics, occupational stress and work-life balance. This implies that it is necessary to understand the call characteristics and patterns of workers and to provide an innovative wellness program tailored to individual characteristics for an effective management of the emotional labor and occupational stress.

교대근무 간호사의 일과 삶의 균형과 불면증이 건강증진행위에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Work-Life Balance and Insomnia Severity on Shift Working Nurses' Health Promotion Behaviors)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of work-life balance and insomnia severity on shift working nurses' health promotion behaviors. Methods: Participants were 152 nurses who worked rotating shifts at a general hospital. Data were collected from August 2 to 16, 2023 and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 25.0. Results: The participants exhibited high insomnia severity and low scores in both work-life balance and health promotion behaviors. Health promotion behaviors were positively correlated with work-life balance but negatively correlated with insomnia severity. The key factors influencing shift-working nurses' health promotion behaviors included work-life balance (β=.37, p<.001) and gender (female) (β=-.17, p=.026), with an explanatoty power of 18% (F=12.35, p<.001). Conclusion: Work-life balance is a significant variable affecting shift-working nurses' health promotion behaviors. The health of nurses is crucial not only for their personal well-being but also for ensuring the patient safety. Therefore, flexible work systems and adaptable health program schedules must be implemented to promote the health of shift-working nurses.

간호사의 일-가정 양립 및 양육경험 (Nurses' Work-Life Balance and Parenting Experience)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the balance of work-life and parenting experience of nurses. Methods: This qualitative study used the phenomenological methodology proposed by Giorgi. In-depth interviews were conducted on a total of 10 participants working at hospitals in Seoul and Gyeongnam province in 2017 to collect data. Results: Four main issues were deduced: "complex situation between work and parenting," "conflict situation of being in a double bind between work and parenting," "the power to endure both work and parenting," and "finding hope between work and parenting. Conclusion: The findings in this study provide an in-depth understanding on the work-life balance and parenting experience of nurses. These findings should help in the development of solutions to the conflict between work and family for nurses and enable them to develop effective strategies.

다감각 자극훈련이 노인의 인지기능 및 균형능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Multi-Sensory Stimulation Training on Cognitive Function and Balance Skill of the Community Resident Elderly)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 다감각 자극훈련이 노인의 인지기능 및 균형능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 지역사회에 거주하는 65세 이상 노인 10명을 대상으로 다감각 자극훈련을 주 1회 60분씩 12주 동안 진행하였다. 다감각 자극훈련은 신체도식, 대근육, 촉각자극 영역을 포함한 총 12가지 주제에 맞는 활동으로 구성된 프로그램이다. 결과측정은 한국형-간이정신상태평가(Mini-Mental State Examination-Korean, MMSE-K)와 버그균형검사(Berg Balance Scale, BBS)를 사용하여 대상자의 사전사후 인지기능과 균형 능력을 평가하였고, 중재 이후 프로그램 만족도를 조사하였다. 측정 결과는 윌콕슨 순위 검정(Wilcoxon matched-pair signed rank test)을 사용하여 인지기능과 균형능력의 중재 전후로 차이를 비교하여 분석하였다. 결과 : 다감각 자극훈련 중재 이후 대상자들은 인지기능과 균형능력에서 유의한 향상을 보였다(p<.05). 또한 중재 이후 대상자 모두 프로그램에 대한 긍정적인 만족도를 보였다. 결론 : 지역사회 노인을 대상으로 한 다감각 자극훈련은 노인의 인지기능과 균형능력의 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 중재 이후 만족도에도 긍정적인 결과를 보였다. 다감각 자극훈련은 고령화 시대에 노인들에게 만족감을 줄 수 있는 그룹치료활동으로 효과적인 사용을 위한 추가적인 연구가 더 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

서비스업 여성 근로자의 근무조건에 따른 직무 스트레스 (Occupational Stress of Women Workers in Service Industries depending on Their Working Conditions)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to discover the influence of the working conditions on women workers' occupational stress. Methods: Descriptive method is used to identify women's stress depending on their general working features and conditions by conducting a survey of them in women-dominated service industries. SPSS 18.0 program is used for data analysis and descriptive statistics is presented with standard deviation, frequency and percentage. ${\chi}^2$-test is used as an analysis tool. To figure out factors that influence their stress, logistic regression analysis is used for general features and working conditions as independent variables, and occupational stress as a dependent variable. Results: As a result, among the independent variables, employment status, weekly working hours, career, shiftwork, and work-family-balance are meaningful factors that influence their stress. Temporary workers' stress is 3.65 times higher (p<.001), and workers working over 48 hours a week have 1.97 times higher stress (p<.003). Workers with over 5 years' career are under 1.73 times higher stress (p<.046) and shift workers are under 3.51 times higher stress (p<.001). Work family balance results in 1.93 times higher stress (p<.009). Conclusion: It is necessary to seek how to prevent and manage women workers' stress considering features.

Association between unpredictable work schedule and work-family conflict in Korea

  • Background: As unpredictable work schedule (UWS) has increased worldwide, various studies have been conducted on the resulting health effects on workers. However, research on the effect of UWS on workers' well-being in Korea is still insufficient. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between UWS and work-family conflict (WFC) using 6th Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS). Methods: Both UWS and WFC were measured using self-reported questionnaires, using data from the 6th KWCS conducted between 2020 and 2021, including 31,859 participants. UWS was measured by questions regarding the frequency of changes in work schedules and limited advanced notice. WFC was measured by questions regarding work to family and family to work conflicts. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to investigate the association between UWS and WFC. Results: The prevalence of UWS was higher among men, those under 40 years old, service and sales workers and blue-collar workers, and those with higher salaries. Workplace size also influenced UWS prevalence, with smaller workplaces (less than 50 employees) showing a higher prevalence. The odds ratio (OR) for WFC was significantly higher in workers with UWS compared to workers without UWS after adjusting for gender, age, marital status, occupation, salary, education, weekly working hours, shift work, company size, and having a child under the age of 18 years, employment status (OR: 3.71; 95% confidence interval: 3.23-4.25). Conclusions: The analysis of nationwide data revealed that UWS interferes with workers' performance of family roles, which can lead to WFC. Our findings suggest that it is crucial to implement policies to address unfair work schedule management, promoting a healthier work-life balance and fostering a conducive environment for family responsibilities.

시각적 피드백에 따른 발목 움직임 조절 도구를 이용한 자가 운동이 노인의 발목 움직임 조절과 균형 능력에 미치는 영향: 사례 연구 (The Effect of a Self-exercise with Ankle Movement Control Device through Visual Feedback on Ankle Movement and Balance Ability for the Elderly: Case-study)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 일반노인에게 시각적 피드백에 따른 발목 움직임 조절 도구를 사용하여 자가 운동을 시행하였을 때 노인의 발목 움직임 조절과 균형능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 이 연구는 사례 연구(case-study)로써, 사전-사후 검사를 실시하였다. 80세인 일반 여성 노인에게 2주 동안 매일 오전, 오후 20분 동안 자가 운동을 실시하였다. 사전, 사후 검사로는 발목 조절 움직임 평가를 위한 Tracking 검사, 균형 능력 측정을 위한 한발로 서기 시간 측정과 Timed up-And-Go검사를 시행하였다. 결과 : 대상자는 Tracking 검사에서 발목 조절 움직임의 향상을 보였다. 균형 능력 평가에서는 한발로 서기유지 시간은 증가하였으나, Timed up-And-Go검사는 변화가 없었다. 결론 : 시각적 피드백에 따른 발목 조절 움직임 도구를 이용한 자가 운동은 노인의 발목 움직임 조절과 균형을 향상 시켰다.
