병원 간호사의 자율성과 직무만족도와의 관계 (Relationship between Autonomy and Job Satisfaction of the Hospital Nurses)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigates the Autonomy and Job Satisfaction of the Nurses. The data was collected by distributing structured questionnaires to 317 nurses in 4 secondary hospitals located in Pusan, from July 1 to 31, 2010 and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient. The average autonomy level of nursing professionals was $135.30{\pm}8.04$ points. The average nurse's job satisfaction was $3.12{\pm}.35$ points. There was significant difference according to age, career and position in autonomy level of nursing professionals. There was significant difference according to age, marital status, career, position and monthly income in nurse's job satisfaction. The correlation between autonomy and job satisfaction of the nurses showed to be positively correlated at r = .426. Therefore, It is necessary to research into the methods to enhance the autonomy levels of nursing professionals and nurse's job satisfaction. It is necessary to develop education and policy programs for nurse's autonomy and nurse's job satisfaction.

임상간호사의 감정노동과 직무만족 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과 (The Moderating Effects of Social Support between Emotional Labor and Job Satisfaction in Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effects of social support between emotional labor and job satisfaction in clinical nurses. Methods: Participants were 311 clinical nurses and data were collected from July 11th to 18th, 2014. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression with SPSS 21.0. Results: The job satisfaction indicated a significant relationship to surface-acting (r=-.191, p=.001), deep-acting (r=.179, p=.002) and social support (r=.342, p<.001) respectively. Emotional labor significantly affected job satisfaction (F=11.592, p<.001), and explained 5.4% of the variance in job satisfaction. The social support acted as a moderator on the relationship between emotional labor and job satisfaction at significant level (F=11.416, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is important to develop social support promoting and stress relief program for clinical nurses to improve job satisfaction.

남자간호사의 간호업무환경 및 직무공정성과 직무만족과의 관련성 (The Relationship among Practice Environment, Organizational Justice, and Job Satisfaction of Male Nurses)

  • Purpose: This cross-sectional descriptive study was to explore the relationship among practice environment, organizational justice, and job satisfaction of male nurses. Methods: Subjects were 115 male nurses who were the member of the Korean man nurses association, and they were asked to complete self-administration questionnaires via internet site for this survey which included nurse's practice environment, organizational justice, and job satisfaction. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN version 21.0 software. Results: The mean scores of the nurse's practice environment, organizational justice, and job satisfaction were 2.9, 3.0, 3.1 out of 5 Likert scale respectively. The job satisfaction was positively correlated with the nurse's practice environment (r=.70, p<.001) and organizational justice (r=.78, p<.001). The job satisfaction was affected by procedure-related justice, interpersonal justice, adequacy of staffing and resources in nursing work environment, compensation justice, and good healthy status. These variables explained 68.6% of male nurse's job satisfaction. Conclusion: This finding suggest that suitable organization management for male nurses are necessary through improvement of practice environment and organizational justice in hospital.

간호사의 직무스트레스, 소진경험 및 직무만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Relationship Between Job Stress, Burnout Experience and Job Satisfaction of Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify job stress, burnout experience and job satisfaction in nurses and to identify their relationships. Method: The data were collected from 280 nurses employed in one general hospital, using the structured questionnaire. The data analyzed using SPSS Win program for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Result: There were significant differences in job stress, burnout experience and job satisfaction by current working unit, working period, scheduled to work as a nurse, cause to satisfaction, periods in night shift, level of adaptation, and health status. There was a significant positive correlation between job stress and burnout experience, and a inverse correlation between job stress and job satisfaction. Conclusion: The study findings show that job stress, burnout experience, and job satisfaction of nurses are correlated each other. Therefore, it is need to maintain a proper level of nurses' job stress and burnout experience through various ways to improve the situation. As a result, job satisfaction will be promoted and human resources will be managed appropriately.

간호 대학생의 기본간호 임상실습에 관한 자율성, 교수효율성 및 임상실습 만족도 (Autonomy, Teaching Effectiveness, and Clinical Practice Satisfaction for Fundamentals Nursing Clinical Practice in Student Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate autonomy, teaching effectiveness, and clinical practice satisfaction for fundamentals nursing clinical practice in student nurses. Method: The participants were 244 sophomores, who had done the practice for 8 weeks from June 17 ${\sim}.33$ August 23, 2005. Autonomy the Caring Perspective(ACP) devised by Boughn(1995) was used to measure autonomy, Instrument to Measure Effectiveness of Clinical Instructor(IMECL) by Reeve(1994) for measuring teaching effectiveness, and an instrument by Moon(2002) for measuring satisfaction. Results: After practice, the role model was seen as rich in knowledge and experience(48.77%). Desirable categories for instructor were full-time professors with a practice background and head nurses(31.97%). Average score for autonomy was 3.71(${\pm}.33$), for teaching effectiveness, 3.67(${\pm}.48$) and for satisfaction 3.51(${\pm}.38$). Autonomy scores were high for students satisfied with their major(F=5.23, p=.006), and interested In practice(F=4.38, p=.014). Teaching effectiveness scores were high for students satisfied with practice (F=2.57, p=.038). Clinical practice satisfaction scores were high for students interested in practice(F=5.01, p=.007). Relationships between autonomy and teaching effectiveness (r=.174, p=.006), and between leaching effectiveness and satisfaction showed a positive correlation(r=.632, p=.000). Conclusion: Interest in clinical practice courses in first year affect autonomy, teaching effectiveness and satisfaction.

임부의 결혼만족도와 배우자 지지가 태교실천에 미치는 영향 (Relationships among Marital Satisfaction, Spousal Support and Practice of Taekyo in Pregnant Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among marital satisfaction, spousal support and practice of Taekyo among pregnant women. Methods: This study was conducted by the use of questionnaire surveys with two hundred and eighty-three pregnant women at several hospitals located in Gyeonggi province and Daejeon city from October 2008 to April 2009. Contents of questionnaire included marital satisfaction, spousal support and practice of Taekyo. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression were conducted for data analysis using SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. Results: Degree of marital satisfaction, spousal support, and practice of Taekyo showed the high ranking among pregnant women. There was a significant difference in order of fetus, need for Taekyo, and time in Taekyo. There was a positive relationship between marital satisfaction, spousal support, and practice of Taekyo. The significant factors influencing the practice of Taekyo was connected with marital satisfaction, order of fetus and time in Taekyo. The total explanatory range was 29.3%. Conclusion: There is a need for multidimensional strategy in improving marital satisfaction. This study can be used as a foundation for maternal nursing education program and can be developed for practice of Taekyo.

동영상 기반 간호정보제공이 중환자실 입원 환자 가족의 환경적 스트레스, 불안과 간호요구 만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Video-based Admission Education on Environmental Stress, Anxiety and Nursing Needs Satisfaction among Family members with Patient in ICU)

  • Purpose:The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of video-centered information among family members intensive care unit (ICU). Methods: A quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group, pretest-posttest design was used. Participants (n=86) were family members who were the main caregivers for the patient in ICU. An experimental group (n=43) watched a video while the control group (n=43) was provided a leaflet. Levels of environmental stress, anxiety and nursing need satisfaction were measured by questionnaires before and after the interventions. Data were analyzed with ${\chi}^2$ test, paired t-test, independent t-test, Fisher's exact test and ANCOVA. Results: There were no differences in environmental stress (F=1.88, $p$=.065), and anxiety (t=0.37, $p$=.711) between 2 groups, but there was a significant difference in nursing need satisfaction (t=3.01, $p$=.004). Conclusion: Providing video-centered information would be an effective nursing intervention by improving nursing need satisfaction among family, the main caregivers members of patients in ICU.

요양병원 간호사와 간호조무사의 직무만족과 자존감 및 간호업무성과에 관한 연구 (Job Satisfaction, Self-Esteem, and Nursing Task Performance among Registered Nurses and Nurse Assistants in Long-Term Care Hospitals)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to compare job satisfaction, self-esteem, and nursing task performance between registered nurses (RN) and nurse assistants (NA) in long-term care hospitals. Method: The sample consisted of 203 nursing personnel (RN 99 and AN 104), who were working in one of 5 long-term care hospitals in 5 different areas. Data were collected by structured questionnaires from March 15 to April 30, 2010, and analyzed using the descriptive statistics, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficients with SPSS/Win 17.0 program. Result: There was no significant difference between nurses and nurse assistants in job satisfaction and self-esteem. But nurses had higher levels of nursing task performance than nurse assistants. Conclusions: These findings demonstrate the necessity of developing programs that will help to improve job satisfaction and self-esteem in nurses and nursing task performance in nurse assistants. Strategies need to be developed to maximize the value of the existing workforce without impacting on the quality of care delivered.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the communication styles and nursing service satisfaction of clinical research nurses perceived by clinical subjects. Methods: The data were collected with self-administrated questionnaires after receiving consents from 200 clinical trial subjects. The data were analysed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 statistic program. Result: Clinical subjects perceived that clinical research nurses used the informative, affective, and non-authoritative communication styles. The study identified factors influencing the nursing service satisfaction, and they were the informative communication styles (${\beta}$=.34, p<.001) and affective communication styles (${\beta}$=.35, p<.001, $R^2$=37%) by multiple linear regression. Conclusion: If educational programs on communication are developed to help clinical research nurses use the informative and affective communication styles according to the characteristics of subjects and applied to the field of practice, they will be able to increase the nursing service satisfaction and contribute to the higher quality of clinical trials.

정보제공 방법에 따른 암수술환자 가족의 간호요구 만족도와 불안 (The Effects of Pre-operational Education on Nursing Care Satisfaction and Anxiety;A Comparison between Traditional Face-to-face Education and Mobile Text Messages)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to compare two different kinds of pre-operational education methods on nursing care satisfaction and anxiety among family members of cancer patients. Methods: This research used a quasi-experimental design. A total of 80 patients participated in the study. Forty subjects who were in the experimental group were assigned to be received mobile text-information via cellular phone, whereas control group was given the direct messages from nurses during peri-operative time. Peri-operative family needs and anxiety were measured and analyzed by X2-test and t-test. Result: There was no statistically significant difference in the levels of peri-operative family needs satisfaction and the levels of state anxiety between the two groups (p= .05). Conclusion: Based upon these findings, the nursing intervention with cellular phone short message could be as effective as direct peri-operative information in reducing the level of state anxiety and in increasing of the level of nursing care satisfaction among the family members of cancer patients.
