Methods: One hundred eighty six nurses recruited from 6 general hospitals in South Korea. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaires and analysed by the SPSS WIN 11.0 program using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. Perceived internal marketing had significant negative correlation with job stress and turnover intention and significant positive correlation with organizational commitment. Employee's management philosophy was a significant predictor of job stress along with characteristics of hospital, and nurse's educational level ($R^2=$ .18). Working environment was a significant predictor of organizational commitment along with monthly income and job stress ($R^2=$ .31). Promotional strategies and communication style in the organization were significant predictors of turnover intention along with organizational commitment and job stress ($R^2=$ .31). Conclusions: This study suggest that future intervention study enhancing internal marketing would lead the positive changes in job stress, organizational commitment, and turnover intention.

Method: We collected the data using interviews from August 1 to August 31 in 2003. The participants of this study were 19 head nurses from two university hospitals in Pusan. Result: Three categories of successful leadership in nursing organization were identified; leadership, opportunity, authority. Leadership category included accepting nurses' opinions, providing comfortable work environment, and interpersonal harmony. Opportunity category included verbal convincing for professional development and emotional support. Authority category included accomplishment and competence. Head nurses included autonomy, incentives, and equal opportunity across to different discipline as power category. Barriers identified by head nurses were lack of opportunity and power from hospital level. They seem to be frustrated when they don't have enough support from hospital. Conclusion: We think that head nurses have to apply effective leadership to achieve organizational goal and harmonious nursing environment. Based on the barriers identified in the study, interdisciplinary managemental intervention can lead better quality of care and nurses' work satisfaction which could further enhance hospital productivity and quality of care.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the organizational citizenship behaviors(OCB) of nurses through identifying the relationship between the personal characteristics, occupational characteristics and OCB in nursing organization. Method: The subjects of this study were 223 clinical nurses. The structured questionnaires were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis by SPSS version 10. Results: The mean of OCB was $5.21{\pm}.59$. The OCB had statistically significant differences according to age(F=1.706, p=.007), tenure duration (F=3.450, p=.009), choice of nursing department(t=1.651, p=.000), marriage(t=2.341, p=.020) and religion(F=2.578, p=.038). The OCB was positively correlated with high-level need(r=.303, p=.000), neuroticism(r=.155, p=.020), task interdependence(r=.433, p=.000), age(r=.172, p=.010) and tenure duration(r=.190, p=.004); negatively with cynicism (r=-.310, p=.000). The task interdependence(18.7%), cynicism(7.7%) and tenure duration(1.9%) explained 28.3% of the variance for OCB in nursing organization. Conclusion: It is necessary to enhance the task interdependence, increase tenure and understand the characteristics of nurses to increase the OCB in clinical nurses. Nurse manager should be understand the positive influence of OCB on the task outputs in the hospital.
Purpose: The purposes of this study are: to evaluate the effectiveness of organizations engaged in MCH programs; and to suggest the executive organizational system of maternal and child health (MCH) services linked to HP services at public health centers. The organizational effectiveness of MCH organization is assessed by MCH workers. Finally, this study seeks to obtain consensus among experts in the field of MCH. Result: The results are as follows. Of public health centers, 61.9% have a MCH organization for their MCH programs. For the other 38.2%, MCH services are undertaken by HP organization. Executive organizational systems for MCH services at leading MCH health centers are classified into three types: Type I (provides MCH and HP services through MCH organizations); Type II (provides MCH and HP Services through HP organizations) ; and Type III (provides MCH services through MCH organizations and HP services through HP organizations). The evaluation of the organizational effectiveness of MCH organizations shows that Type II is the most effective in terms of teamwork, autonomy, service quality and resource utilization. Getting evidence in to practice tends to focus on strategies, theories and studies that aim to close the gap between research knowledge and clinical practice. The evidence to practice gap is more about systems than individual clinician decision making. The absence of evidence for administration and management in the organization of healthcare is persistent. Teaching nurses and providing evidence as the solution to evidence-based healthcare is no longer axiomatic. Previous studies have concluded that unit level strategies integrate multi-professional teams with organizational needs and priorities. This 'best fit' approach that characterizes how healthcare is structured and delivered. The published literature shows that increased readiness for change is aligned with integrated approaches informed by conceptual models. The Joanna Briggs Collaboration is the largest global collaboration to integrate evidence within a theory informed model that brings together academic centres, hospitals and health systems for evidence synthesis, transfer and implementation. The best approaches to implementation are tailored to local culture and context, benchmark against international evidence, combine a theory informed model and stakeholder perspectives to improve the structure and processes of health care policy and practice.
