종합병원 간호사의 문화적 역량수준과 영향요인 (A Study on Factors Affecting Cultural Competency of General Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: As Korea has been rapidly transformed to be a multicultural society, it becomes essential for nurses to develop cultural competency. The purpose of this descriptive study was to assess the cultural competency level of general hospital nurses and to examine its contributing factors adopting ecological model. Method: A convenience sample of 327 nurses from six general hospitals in Seoul metropolitan area was recruited between November 14 to 28, 2011. Cultural competency was measured using the Korean version of the Caffrey Cultural Competence in Healthcare Scale (CCCHS) and Cultural Competence Assessment(CCA). Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed to assess the influence of intrapersonal, cultural-experience, and organizational factors on cultural competency. Results: Mean cultural competency in this study was 2.57(${\pm}0.43$). Cultural competency was associated with job position (p=.044) at the intrapersonal level. At the cultural experience level, foreign language classes experience (p=.005), fluency in a foreign language (p=.000), experience of working with foreign health care professionals (p=.000) were associated cultural competency. At the organizational level, training program (p=.000), job description (p=.002), health education materials (p=.016), insufficient job control (p=.000), and interpersonal conflicts (p=.011) showed significant difference. Foreign language class experience, foreign language fluency, experience of working with foreign health care professionals, and job control were the most consistent predictors of cultural competence and explained 20.4% of the total variance in the proposed ecological model. Conclusions: The findings suggest that to enhance cultural competency in general hospital nurses, cultural experience and organizational factors need to be more fully considered than intrapersonal factors.

간호대학생의 정보자원이용, 비판적 사고성향과 간호정보활용역량의 관계 (Relationships between Use of Information Resources, Critical Thinking Disposition, and Nursing Information Literacy Competency in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 정보자원이용, 비판적 사고성향, 간호정보활용역량의 관계를 파악하고, 이들의 간호정보활용역량에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하기 위함이다. J시에 위치한 2개의 간호대학에 재학중인 4학년 간호대학생 118명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 간호정보활용역량에 영향을 미치는 요인은 비판적 사고성향(${\beta}=.54$, p<.001)과 전자정보자원(${\beta}=.27$, p<.001)으로, 이들의 설명력은 44%(F=44.96, p<.001)인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 간호대학생의 간호정보활용역량을 향상시키기 위해서 비판적 사고성향과 전자정보자원 이용을 증진시킬 수 있는 교육프로그램을 개발할 필요가 있다.

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 간호역량 및 감성지능과 간호사 역할 이행의 관계를 파악하기 위해 실시하였다. 연구대상은 충남 소재 4년제 대학 간호학과에 재학 중인 3,4 학년 학생 134명이다. 자료수집은 자가보고형 설문지를 이용하여 2018년 11월 1일에서 12월 10일까지 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.0 program을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 간호역량(r=.79, p<.001)과 감성지능(r=.59, p<.001)이 높을수록 간호사 역할 이행 정도가 높게 나타났다 간호대학생의 간호사 역할 이행 영향 요인은 간호역량(${\beta}=.66$, p<001)과 감성지능(${\beta}=.22$, p=.001) 순이었으며, 설명력은 67.8%이었다. 따라서 간호대학생의 간호사 역할 이행 증가를 위해 간호역량 및 감성지능 증가를 위한 중재 프로그램을 제공하는 것이 필요하며 제공된 프로그램에 대한 효과 평가를 통해 효율적인 프로그램이 제공될 수 있도록 하는 것이 필요하다고 할 것이다.

프리셉터쉽 적용이 간호학생외 비판적 사고성향, 입상수행능력 및 임상실습 만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Preceptorship on Nursing Students' Critical Thinking Propensity, Clinical Competency and Satisfaction of Clinical Practice)

  • Purpose: This study was to compare effects of preceptorship on nursing students' critical thinking propensity, clinical competency, and the satisfaction of clinical practice. Method: The subjects were 80 by preceptorship group and 51 by conventional method group. The data were analyzed by SPSS 12.0 program. Results: The subject's critical thinking propensity, clinical competency and satisfaction of clinical practices between the preceptorship group and the conventional method group revealed statistically significant difference. Subject's critical thinking propensity revealed significant correlations, along with the clinical competεncy and the satisfaction for clinical practice. And the clinical competency revealed statistically significant correlations with the satisfaction for clinical practice. Conclusion: Findings of this study reveals that the nursing students who had clinical practice by preceptorship showed higher scores in the critical thinking propensity, clinical competency, and the satisfaction for clinical practice than the conventional method group. Consequently, we are quite consciously encouraged to reinforce the preceptorship for realization of an effective clinical practice education for nursing students.

중년 여성의 폐경 증상경험과 자가관리 역량, 사회적 지지와의 관계 (The Relationship among Menopausal Symptoms, Competency of Self-Care Agency and Social Support in Middle-aged Woman)

  • Purpose: This descriptive correlational study was intended to analyze the relationship among menopausal symptoms. competency of self-care agency and social support in middle-aged women. Methods: Participants in the study were 140 women who were 45-60 years of old. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics., t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\grave{e}}^{\prime}s$ test and Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: The frequency and discomfort of menopausal symptom were low, but the mean discomfort score were higher than frequency score. Middle-aged women with lower competency of self care experienced more frequent menopausal symptoms (t=-0.28, p=.001) and more discomfort (t=-0.24, p=.004). However, There was no significant difference in menopausal symptoms according to social support. Conclusion: Nursing interventions to enhance competency of self-care agency in middle-aged women are required in order to reduce the discomfort of menopausal symptoms.

간호사가 인지하는 조직문화와 정보역량간의 정준상관관계 (Canonical Correlation between Organizational Culture and Informatics Competency)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the canonical correlation between organizational culture and nurses' informatics competency. Method: Participants in this study were 354 nurses from three hospitals and one university. The scales of organizational culture, informatics competency for nurses were used. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, canonical correlation were used for data analysis. Results: The dominant organizational culture was hierarch-oriented culture. Nursing informatics competency of the participants was relatively low with a mean score 3.04. Organizational culture was related to informatics competency with 2 significant canonical variables. The first variate showed the higher four subcategories of organizational culture showed the better nursing informatics. The second variate indicated that nurses felt higher innovation-related and lower hierarch-related culture showed higher medical informatics-related software usage and computer related information management, lower perception of informatics and information search using internet. Conclusion: Organization culture has a major of impact on the success of information system use. Therefore, the continuous strategy for higher innovation-related organizational culture such as management support should be needed.

간호사의 비판적 사고성향, 간호과정 수행능력과 근거기반실무역량과의 관계 (The relationship among critical thinking disposition, nursing process competency and evidence-based practice competency in nurses working in hospitals)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 400병상 이상 종합병원에 근무하는 간호사들의 비판적 사고성향, 간호과정 수행능력과 근거기반실무역량 수준을 파악하고, 비판적 사고성향, 간호과정 수행능력과 근거기반실무역량과의 관계를 파악하여 근거기반실무역량 향상을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 본 연구는 서술적 상관관계 연구로 종합병원에 근무하는 262명의 간호사를 대상으로 자기기입식 설문지를 통해 조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 사용하여 통계 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 간호사의 비판적 사고성향과 간호과정 수행능력과 근거기반실무역량은 중정도 이상의 수준이었고 간호사의 근거기반실무역량은 비판적 사고성향 (r=.42, p <.001), 간호과정 수행능력 (r=.58, p <.001)과 정적인 상관관계를 나타냈다. 위계적 회귀분석 결과 비판적 사고성향 (${\beta}=.34$, p <.001)과 간호과정 수행능력 (${\beta}=.57$, p <.001)은 근거기반실무역량에 유의한 영향요인으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해서 간호사의 근거기반실무역량 향상을 위해서 간호사의 비판적 사고성향과 간호과정 수행능력의 향상을 위한 전략이 요구되어진다.

프리셉터의 핵심역량과 경력몰입에 관한 연구 (The Core Competency and Career Commitment of the Preceptors)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the core competency and career commitment of the preceptors to identify utility of the preceptorship as career management program. Method: The subjects were 107 clinical nurses who were working in one university hospital composed of the head nurses(n=27), non-preceptors(n=28), new graduate nurses(n=26) and preceptors(n=26). Demographic characteristics, core competency and career commitment were measured. The core competency was evaluated by the head nurses, non-preceptors, new graduate nurses, and preceptor themselves. And the career commitment was compared between the preceptors and non-preceptors. For data analyses, percentage, mean, t-test, ANOVA were adopted with the use of SPSS WIN 10.0. Result: The results of this study showed that the core competency of the preceptors was evaluated excellently by all subjects. In three domains, there were no significant difference in role model, socialization facillitator and educator except for learning experience planning between the head nurses, non-preceptors, new graduate nurses and preceptors. The career commitment was significant difference between the preceptors and non-preceptors. Conclusions: The finding above indicated that the preceptorship utilized the improvement of the core competency and career commitment of the preceptors as career management program. therefore, continually, the effort and interest for development of the preceptorship can be a remarkable contribution for nurses' career management in nursing organization.

방문간호사와 보건진료원의 문화적 역량에 영향을 미치는 요인 (The Factors Affecting Cultural Competency of Visiting Nurses and Community Health Practitioners)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of cultural competency of visiting nurses and community health practitioners and explore factors that are related with their cultural competency. Methods: The subjects of this study were 113 visiting nurses and 103 community health practitioners working in Gangwon-do. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire on May 24, 2011. The SPSS/WIN 17.0 program was used for data analysis. Results: The average score for cultural competency of visiting nurses was $2.76{\pm}0.60$ and that of community health practitioners $2.91{\pm}0.51$. Most of subjects received no multicultural education (78.0% for nurses, 85.7% for community health nurses). Factors influencing cultural competency were number of service experience for multicultural clients and participation of multicultural education. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop systematic educational programs to enhance the cultural competency of nurses.

간호학생의 기본간호수행능력 영향요인 분석 (Aanalysis on the Competency of Nursing Students' Basic Nursing Skills)

  • 의료분야의 전문화와 정보화로 간호사에게 요구되는 지식과 간호기술은 증가하고 복잡해진 반면, 임상에서의 실습교육이 위축되면서 기본간호학 실습 교육과 방법의 강화 및 개선에 대한 다양한 요구와 도전에 직면하게 되었다. 본 연구는 간호학생의 기본간호수행능력과 관련된 영향요인을 분석하기 위한 횡단적 조사연구이다. 본 연구는 4년제 간호학과에서 기본간호학 과목을 수강하는 2학년 학생 중 연구참여에 동의한 총 106명을 대상으로 하였으며, 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자기기입식 질문지법으로 자료수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 19.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 대상자의 일반적 특성 중 대인관계, 성적 및 실습실 개방 자율실습 여부에 따라 기본간호수행능력에서 차이가 나타났다. 간호학생의 기본간호수행 능력에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학습만족도, 의사소통능력과 자기주도성 이었으며, 이들 변인은 기본간호수행능력 총 변량의 49.9%를 설명하였다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 간호학생에서 기본간호수행능력을 증진시키기 위해서는 실습실 개방 자율 실습방법을 적용하고 간호학생의 지각된 대인관계 정도와 성적 특성을 고려하며, 자기주도성, 전문직 자아개념, 의사소통능력 및 학습만족도를 증진시킬 수 있는 교육방법으로서 blended learning을 제언한다.
