  • This purpose of this study was to identify view of occupational therapy fieldwork supervisor and novice occupational therapists in job. 117 fieldwork supervisor and 104 novice occupational therapists that work on 58 domestic hospitals were chosen. The collected data were analyzed by using the SPSS 20.0 statistics package for Window which determined frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, median, and range. The following are the results of this study. First, fieldwork supervisor considered that basic refinement and manners are most important when they evaluate student. Second, novice occupational therapists responded that importance is 10 points, conduction is 7 points, and satisfaction is 6 points in general job. Third, importance of fieldwork supervisor for the job were problem identification and established intervention plan in intervention plan appears over the first 2 above. But, conduction of novice occupational therapists for the job were evaluation in all 4 of the top 5 except 2 place. The results of this study are expected to be used as direction guidance of fieldwork to the solve difficulty of novice occupational therapists.

  • This paper deals with the reliability analysis of a complex system, which consists of two subsystems A and B connected in series. Subsystem A has only one unit and B has two units $B_1$ and $B_2$. Marked process has been applied to model the complex system. Present reliability model incorporated two repairmen: supervisor and novice to repair the failed units. Supervisor is always there and the novice remains in vacation and is called for repair as per demand. The repair rates for supervisor and novice follow general and exponential distributions respectively and the failure time for both the subsystems follows exponential distribution. The model is analyzed under "Head of line repair discipline". By employing supplementary variable technique, Laplace transformation and Gumbel-Hougaard family of copula various transition state probabilities, reliability, availability and cost analysis have been obtained along with the steady state behaviour of the system. At the end some special cases of the system have been taken.

  • The purpose of this research was to verify the mediating effects of countertransference management ability and each of its subscales, i.e. self-insight, self-integration, empathy ability, anxiety-management, and conceptualizing skills, in the effect of supervisor supports on psychological burnout of novice counselors. For this purpose, 202 novice counselors who have experience of supervision less than 3 years in counseling experience were studied. The results of the analysis were as follows : First, The supervisor supports were positively related to countertransference management skill and all its five subscales. Additionally, supervisor supports, countertransference management skill, and its five subscales were proved to negatively related to psychological burnout. second, The verification of mediating effects of countertransference management skill in the relationship between supervisor support and psychological burnout demonstrated the complete mediation. third, The self-integration, empathy ability, anxiety-management completely mediated the relationship between supervisor supports and psychological burnout. and The self-insight, conceptualizing skills partially mediated the relationship between supervisor supports and psychological burnout. These results confirmed that countertransference management skill is a strong influential factor between supervisor supports and psychological burnout. Implications for clinical practice and directions for future research were also discussed.

  • The present study interviewed Eight novice supervisors (i.e., counselling psychologists with fewer than 5 years of experience) to investigate the need for formal supervision training. A consensual qualitative research method was used to analyze data, and the result found four main domains, 12 sub-domains, and 33 categories. The results also indicated that novice supervisors believe their own supervisors and expert supervisors have a great understanding of individual counselling cases, and that the role of a supervisor is to help supervisees' ability to understand each case better. Novice supervisors generally take their own supervisors as their role models, although most of them did not receive formal training from their own supervisors. Novice supervisors seek advice on supervision from their colleagues or their own supervisors but still find supervising difficult. They also believe there is a great need for clearly set guidelines or a manual on providing effective supervision.

  • The objective of this study was to understand the countertransference and its meanings, experienced by novice supervisors in the supervision. For this, total seven novice supervisors with supervision experience for five years or less were purposively sampled, and then the in-depth interviews were conducted. As a phenomenological research, the collected data was analyzed in accordance with the Giorgi's 4-Stages, suitable for discovering the phenomenon and its meanings, experienced by research participants. In the results, there were six themes such as 'difficulty to realize the countertransference', 'expectation and impatience of supervisee's growth', 'identification with supervisee', 'hope for maintaining a good relationship with supervisee', 'avoidance of supervision', and 'struggle for standing up as an expert'. The unsolved problems and desires of novice supervisors were revealed as countertransference, which influenced the supervision. The results of this study imply that the countertransference of supervision has not only negative aspects, but also a positive meaning in the aspect that they could deeply understand themselves and others.
