In this paper, we developed modeling of tension and speed dynamics for a two-drum winder in a three span continuous web transport system which had not been previously. Dynamic modeling of the time-varying nonlinear system was derived by considering the effect of the radii and mass moment of inertia in the unwinder and the two-drum winder through winding up the web. After linearizing it, we designed with a variable-gain a PID controller for tension control and a PI controller for speed. Simulation is carried out with the variation of radii and moment of inertia at high speed for the proposed tension control system with the two-drum winder and the variavle-gain a PID controller. Results show good performance of tension control during the speed change speed at a start-up and stop.

Finite element modelling and analysis were conducted for the roll-type steel mats which were placed on loose sand and subjected to a standard truck wheel load in this study. The roll-type steel mats mean that the steel mats can be folded as a circle shape for the carrying to fields in cold regions where workability is limited and are developed for a rapid rehabilitation method for roadway across soft ground which is caused by thawing during the summer season in cold regions. The model is composed of link elements to simulate nonlinear behavior of connections between steel mats, thick shell elements to have flexural stiffness of the steel mats, and springs to simulate characteristics of foundation soils. The structural behaviors of the shell, link elements, and springs were verified at each modelling step through experiment and analysis. Beam and shell analysis without the link elements were conducted and compared to results obtained from the model presented in this study. Significant vertical displacement is shown in the shell model with hinge connections. Therefore, the results demonstrate that the analysis model for the roll-type steel mats on loose sand needs further detail parametric studies.

The autopilot system of vessel is proposed to take service safety sorority, to elevate service efficiency, to decrease labor and to improve working environment. Ultimate purpose of it is to minimize the number of crew by guaranteeing economical efficiency of shipping service. Recently, the research is being achieving to compensate various nonlinear parameters of vessel and apply it is course keeping control, track keeping control, roll-rudder stabilization, dynamic ship positioning and automatic mooring control etc. using optimizing control technique. Relation between rudder angle controlled by steering machine of vessel and ship-heading angle, and load condition of ship are nonlinear, which affect various parameters of shipping service. The speed and direction of waves, velocity and quantity of wind, which also cause the non-linearity of it. Therefore the autopilot system of ship requires the robust control algorithm can overcome various non-linearity. On this paper, we design the autopilot system of ship, which overcome nonlinear parameters and disturbance of it using Fuzzy Algorithm, evaluate the proposed algorithm and its excellence through simulation

This paper presents experimental results of the attitude control for a two-rotor system with 3-DOF(degree-of-freedom). Two DC motors are equipped at the two ends of a rectangular beam to generate lift force and the relation between motor voltage and lift force is found experimentally. And inertial sensors are mounted at the center of the beam to measure the roll angle and a complementary filter is designed to get the angle during DC motors driving. A controller with nonlinear compensation, integrator and state feedback to achieve asymptotic tracking for a step input and reject input disturbance is designed and experimented.

In this paper, we present a new approach to autopilot design for skid-to-turn missiles which may have severe aerodynamic cross-couplings and nonlinearities with angle of attack. The model of missile motion is derived in the maneuver plane and, based on that model, pitch, yaw, and roll autopilot are designed. They are composed of a nonlinear term which compensates for the aerodynamic couplings and nonlinearities and a linear controller driven by the measured outputs of missile accelerations and angular rates. Besides the outputs, further information such as Mach number, dynamic pressure, total angle of attack, and bank angle is required. With the proposed autopilot and simple estimators of bank angle and total angle of attack, it is shown by computer simulations that the induced moments and some aerodynamic nonlinearities are properly compensated and that the performance is superior to that of the conventional ones.

This paper presents a new leveling algorithm that estimates the initial horizontal angles composed of roll angle and pitch angle for a moving or stationary vehicle. The system model of the EKF is designed by linearizing the nonlinear Euler angle differential equation. The measurement models are designed for the moving case and for the stationary case, respectively. The simulation results show that the leveling algorithm is ade-quate not only for acquiring the initial horizontal angles of the vehicle in the motion with acceleration and rotation but also for the stationary one.
The autopilot system targets decreasing labor, working environment, service safety security and elevation of service efficiency. Ultimate purpose is minimizing number of crew for guarantee economical efficiency of shipping service. Recently, being achieving research about Course Keeping Control, Track Keeping Control, Roll-Rudder Stabilization, Dynamic ship Positioning and Automatic Mooring Control etc. which compensate nonlinear characteristic using optimizing control technique. And application research is progressing using real ship on actual field. Relation of Rudder angle which adjusted by Steering Machine and ship-heading angle are non-linear. And, Load Condition of ship acts as non-linear element that influence to Parameter of ship. Also, because the speed of a current and direction of waves, velocity and quantity of wind etc. that id disturbance act in non-linear form, become factor who make service of shipping painfully. Therefore, service system of shipping requires robust control algorithm that can overcome nonlinearity. In this paper, Using GA algorithm, design autopilot system of ship that could overcome the non-linear factor of ship and disturbance and examined result through simulation.

In order to analyze the rolling motion of a ship in random beam waves we use the partial stochastic linearization method. The quadratic damping and the nonlinear restoring moments given by the odd polynomials up to the 11th order are added to a single degree of freedom linear equation of roll motion. The irregular excitation moment is assumed to be the Gaussian white noise. The statistical characteristics of the response by the partial stochastic linearization method is compared with results by the equivalent linearization method and Monte Carlo simulation. It is fecund that the partial stochastic linearization method is not necessarily superior to the equivalent linearization method.

This paper presents the position tracking control of a closed-loop cylinder system using electro-rheological (ER) valve actuators. After manufacturing three sets of cylindrical ER valves on the basis of Bingham model of ER fluid, a 3 dof(degree-freedom) closed-loop cylinder system having the heave, roll and pitch motions is constructed. The governing equations of motion are derived using Lagrange's equation and a control model is formulated by considering nonlinear characteristics of the system, Sliding mode controllers are the designed for these ER valve actuators in order to achieve position tracking control. The effectiveness of trajectory tracking control performance of the proposed cylinder system is demonstrated through computer simulation and experimental implementation of the sliding mode controller.
