실내 인테리어 마감재에 따른 카페 재실자의 소음 환경 영향 분석 (Analysis of Noise Environment of Cafe Occupants According to Interior Finishing)

  • Indoor noise environment is an important factor when it comes to occupants comfort, especially in cafe. Results of the survey, 33.9% of occupants were feel unpleasant and sensitive about noise environment. Noise in cafe fluctuate depending on the finishing of both wall and ceiling, volume of the room, and the number of occupants in the room. Therefore, the noise meter device was used for measurement of various under conditions. Also, the subjective assessment of occupant noise was conducted through questionnaires. When the interior finish was exposed concrete, the maximum value of the noise measurement was 66.6 dB and the minimum value was 63 dB, respectively. Also, the result of subjective assessment of unpleasant noise were 5.43 and 4.96 point of 10 point of noise and echo, respectively. Otherwise, the interior finish was gypsum board, the maximum value of the noise measurement was 73.8 dB and the minimum value was 60.4 dB, respectively. Also, the result of subjective assessment of unpleasant noise were 3.88 and 3.95 point of 10 point of noise and echo, respectively. The results of the study showed that the noises and echoes in the cafes were lower than when did not.

중환자실 소음도와 소음에 대한 환자의 인지 (Noise Levels in Intensive Care Units and Patient's Perception)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to measure the noise levels in intensive care units (ICUs) and to analyze the causes of the noise and patient perceptions of the noise. Methods: Noise levels were recorded in adult ICUs for 24 h over a week from the patients' bedside with a sound level meter. Noise sources were categorized into three groups: medical equipment, health care providers, and the environment. Noises from the environment were recorded in an empty ICUs side room. Perceptions of the noise of 125 patients admitted to the ICUs were recorded using a questionnaire. Results: The mean level of noise in the ICUs was 58.5 dBA (range: 34.2-80.2 dBA). The causes of noise higher than 70 dBA were nebulizers and infusion/syringe pumps among medical equipment, and drawer slamming, phone ringing, and stripping packages of medical fluids among environmental noises. According to the questionnaire, 64.0% of the patients responded that the ICUs were noisy and that they suffered from sleep disturbance because of the noise. Conclusion: Noise is considerably high in ICUs and is an annoying factor for the patients. Most noise sources are adjustable, and we should try to reduce noise whenever possible to make the ICUs environment more pleasant.

고속철도 판토그래프의 공력소음 기여도 연구 (Prediction of the Aerodynamic Noise Generated by Pantograph on High Speed Trains)

  • Nowadays, high speed train has settled down as a fast and convenient environment-friendly transportation and it's need is gradually increasing. However increased train speed leads to increased aerodynamic noise, which causes critically affects comfortability of passengers. Especially, the pantograph of high speed train is protruded out of train body, which is the main factor for increased aerodynamic noise. Since aerodynamic noise caused pantograph should be measured in high speed, it is difficult to measure it and to analysis aerodynamic noise characteristics due to the various types of pantograph. In this research, aerodynamic noise of pantograph is predicted by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) and FW-H (Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings) equation. Also, Wind tunnel test results and numerical simulation results were compared. As a result, Simulation results predicting sound pressure level is very similar with wind tunnel test result. To analyze contribution of the pantograph to the noise of high-speed train, simulation results compared with measurement results of exterior noise. The simulation reuslts found that pantograph is a dominant noise source of high-speed trains's exterior noise in low frequency section. This dominant noise was come out from vortex shedding of the panhead in the pantograph. This research will be utilized for reduce sound pressure level of pantograph.

  • Road traffic noise is not produced by any one factor rather occurs as a composition of various factors. Its occurrence is made by running engine noise, tire frictional, and exhaust noise etc. The quality of the noise depends on the size of the vehicles, rotation and engine speed, vehicle load, package state of the road and incline etc. The occurrence of noise level of heavy trucks appears louder than smaller vehicles and the noise levels produced differs according to speed and load etc between similar size vehicles. Other factors such as traffic density, average speed, mixing rate of heavy vehicles, and the distance between vehicles also generate road traffic noise. In this paper we examine 2, 4, and 6-lane roads in Jeonju. Consequently, this study examined the means used to measure road traffic noise. It was found that when there is a large traffic density and the average velocity is below 70 km/hr, the noise level could receive a relative proper value by the current measuring means. But in the case of night-time, it was found that the current measuring method is inapposite.

원격자료수신장비 소형반사판 안테나 G/T 예측 및 측정 (The calculation and Measurement Methods for G/T of the Telemetry Small Aperture Antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 나로우주센터에서 운용 중인 원격자료수신장비의 G/T에 대한 시뮬레이션 활용 계산 결과와 측정 방법 2개에 대하여 분석하였다. 안테나 이득과 잡음 온도는 ICARA와 Antenna Noise Temperature Calculator를 이용하여 계산하였다. 시스템 G/T는 안테나 이득/잡음돈도와 LNA 이득/잡음온도, 케이블 손실을 반영하여 산출하였다. 첫 번째 G/T 측정 방법은 Y팩터 측정법으로 LNA 입력단에 안테나와 50ohm 터미네이션을 각각 연결했을 때의 신호 레벨 차이값을 LNA 열잡음 온도와 비교하여 G/T를 산출하는 방법이다. 두 번째 방법은 태양과 최저 레벨 지점을 바라보았을 때의 잡음 레벨 값 차이를 비교하여 G/T를 구하는 Solar Calibration 측정법이다. 마지막으로 G/T 계산결과와 두 측정법 비교를 통해 정확성을 검토하고 이로부터 안테나 성능, 운용환경에 따른 최적 측정법을 제시하였다.

소형 잔향실의 확산 음장 보정 계수 측정 연구 (The Study on Correction Factor of a Small Scale Reverberation Chamber to Estimate Transmission Loss)

  • Transmission loss of specimen is calculated by measuring energy of incident and transmission and using reverberant room of large size. But normal measurement of transmission loss has trouble because it is actually demanded that large area and specimen of certain size is satisfied with condition of diffused sound field. Especially, in case of mechanical component, interested frequency band is mid-frequency band between 500 ~ 2k Hz, and it is used to be available to minimize a reverberation chamber under conditions satisfying acoustic one because production of specimen for transmission loss measurement has limit. But, as in semi-reverberation room, it is difficult to satisfy condition of diffuse sound field and modification factor is applied to complement that. Correction factor when measuring transmission loss using semi-reverberation chamber is required accuracy because it works as main factor determining reliability of reuslts on transmission loss. In this study, it is analyzed that an effect on correction factor based on varying materials and sizes of specimens in order to deduction of it. Also It is confirmed that applied by elicited correction factor with actual railway vehicle's floor has reliability.

증가인자 시변제어를 위한 신경망 증가평가필터 설계 (Design of Neural Network Based IEF Filter for Time-varying Control of Incremental Factor)

  • 생체신호 수집시 전력선 잡음은 일반적인 잡음원이다. 증가평가필터(Incremental Estimation Filter. IEF)는 생체신호, 특히, 심전도 (Electrocadiogram, ECG) 신호에 있어서 전력선 잡음을 제거하기 위해 사용되어 왔다. 증가평가필터의 잡음제거 성능에 영향을 미치는 상수 값의 증가인자는 입력신호에 따라서 경험적으로 혹은 실험적으로 결정되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 증가인자의 시변(time-varying) 제어를 위해 신경망을 이용한 증가평가필터 설계를 제시하고 있다. 제안된 증가평가필터는 인위적인 신호뿐만 아니라 MIT/BIH 데이터베이스의 실제 심전도 신호에 적용함으로써 평가하였으며, 잡음제거 성능의 상대적인 비교를 위해 적응잡음제거기와 기존의 증가평가필터등과 비교하였다. 실험결과 신경망에 근거한 증가평가필터는 수렴속도와 특정 주파수에서의 잡음제거에서 기존의 적응필터보다 우수함을 보여주었다.

Stress Corrosion Cracking in the Pre-Cracked Specimens of Type 403 Stainless Steel

  • Crack growth rate and threshold stress intensity factor for stress corrosion cracking(SCC), $K_{ISCC}$ were measured for type 403 stainless steel in 3,5% NaCl solution at room temperature and SCC was monitored by electrochemical noise technique during $K_{ISCC}$ testing. In rising load test, pits were formed at the tip of pre-crack for the pre-cracked compact tension specimen unlike in smooth round specimen in which only unstable pits were observed and hence immune to SCC. Micro-cracks were found to initiate from the pits in the former specimen, and initiation of micro-crack as well as macro-crack was detected by electrochemical noise technique in rising load $K_{ISCC}$ tests. Crack growth rate increased with increasing either displacement rate or stress intensity factor at crack initiation and was higher in rising load $K_{ISCC}$ test compared to constant load $K_{ISCC}$ test at given stress intensities.

Intersymbol interference due to sampling-time jitter and its approximations in a raised cosing filtered system

  • This paper studies the effect of intersymbol interference due to sampling-time jitter on the worst-case bit error probability in a digital modultation over an additive white Gaussian noise channel, with the squared-root raised-cosine filters in the transmitter and the receiver. It derives approximation formulas using the Taylor series approximations. the principal results of this paper is the relationship between the worst-casse bit error probability, the degree of jitter, the roll factor of the raised cosine filter, and other quantities. Numerical results show, as expected, that the intersymbol interference decreases as the roll-off factor increases and the jitter decreases. They also show that the approximation formulas are accurate for smally intersymbol interference, i.e., for large roll-noise ratio $E_{b/}$ $N_{0}$.leq.7 dB and begin to lose accuracy for larger signal-to-noise ratio.o.o.
